| 1 | My Wife The Bank RobberYes, the law is messed up. I reminded my ex that she once said unless I cheated on her she wouldn’t ask for a penny from me. She didn’t recall that one! 😂. Just another broken promise ! | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/10/22 05:13 AM |
| 2 | Experiences with alimony? For me personally negotiating was the best option even if it was higher, it was more amicable and a divorce lawyer would have just taken more. It is just more efficient . I about a judge will weigh unemployment much either . My ex wasn’t working for years and I didn’t cheat but I just suspect the way the law is written no one will truly weight what’s “fair “. And yes I paid the high end of the calculator, but 4 yes of alimony paid and I’m happily done! | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/10/22 03:41 AM |
| 1 | My Wife The Bank RobberWow I’m so sorry. My wife left after six years and because she quit her job one year into the marriage I have to pony up. The law is a no win situation that is biased in favor of women due to some very bad and deadbeat guys. | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/01/20 08:02 AM |
| 1 | What does it mean “you grew apart” ?All good responses. My wife used this too and isn’t cheating to my knowledge. I agree that it is more laziness or lack of effort. Some people are ruled by their emotions rather that trying to understand them. Love and emotions are fluid but taking a vow is a conscious decision so all effort should be made to come together , not throw it away because “we grew apart”. It a a good recognition that something needs work . Anyway I guess some people think people are disposable. | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/01/20 06:30 AM |
