That's not how being drunk works. Besides, how would you enforce a rule as draconian as "drunk sex is always rape"? Is the blame always on the guy? On the less drunk person? Are we supposed to shun drunk people? Would you reinstate prohibitionism? In reality, drunk sex is a dumb thing that most young people do and sometimes regret, and has almost never anything to do with the physical and psychological nightmare that is rape. To compare the two is to strongly diminish the enormity of rape.

Who decides what "being able to think clearly" means? Do you think that having sex with a drunk girl, who enthusiastically goes upstairs with you because you kinda look like Kevin Costner under the dim lights, could be considered rape if she regrets it the next morning? Regret doesn't mean you were raped. It means you shouldn't get shitfaced and fuck the first guy you encounter.

Bullshit. Being drunk doesn't take away your agency or your responsibility. If you weren't unconscious or forcibly violated, you weren't raped. Besides, what if he was drunk too?

The argument that her baldness was off limits because "they're making fun of her illness" was beyond ridiculous. It's fucking alopecia, get over it. It's ok to make fun of bald men and bald women

This kind of stuff is the epitome of virtue signaling: it doesn't help anyone and only serves to paint the author in a better (in this case, progressive) light. What is the point of saying shit like "men must change"? It does nothing but offend the majority of honest, normal men, who would never think of being violent towards the women in their lives anyway. Does this idiot (or maybe shrewd politician) think that rapists are gonna read that and magically change their ways?

That post almost gave me a brain aneurysm. It all makes so much more sense when you realize that these women see only rich and powerful men as real men, and their inferiority complex towards this astoundingly small minority does the rest. For good or bad, their attention is totally focused on the top 1%, the powerful men that they hate and hate to be attracted to.

It's ok to support an artist you like who got unjustly accused and publicly humiliated. Many people like Depp because of his iconic roles and don't want to see his career destroyed because of his psycho ex.

So what you're saying is that you, a commenter using a username on an internet forum are the true feminist, and the feminists actually responsible for changing the laws, writing the academic theory, teaching the courses, influencing the public policies, and the massive, well-funded feminist organizations with thousands and thousands of members all of whom call themselves feminists... they are not "real feminists". You're not the director of the Feminist Majority Foundation and editor of Ms. Maga…

Tbh, they're just bitter, angry, most likely ugly women who hate men because their genetics threw them a curve ball and they are less desirable than a kick in the nuts. I think you'd feel sorry for them if you met them irl

Because men are chasers, not choosers, and we only hear about unwanted male desire.

One third of all married couples pursue divorces. Imagine if one third of all people who ride in a car died in a wreck. You bet your ass people wouldn't do that anymore.

His statement makes more sense than what this woman said. He simply expressed his personal preference, she made a blanket statement about all men

Company tries to boost sales with a tone deaf commercial because they want to pander to what they perceive to be the mainstream ideology. Company fails spectacularly. Assholes who share that ideology start screaming.

He said "We’re unhealthy mentally and physically. We’re insecure, and we’ve created a broken system that we’re going to have to acknowledge we can’t fix alone." He made a blanket statement. What the fuck is "we" supposed to mean in that context?

I'm not scared of women because most of them are normal human beings who do not view life as some sort of gender war.

I think that the reason we're hearing about this is because one side of the political spectrum is using the story as a justification to cry sexism/racism, and the other side is angry that people rushed to defend Williams' behavior only (supposedly) because she's a woman and a black person.

At this point my guess is that they (those in charge, judges, famous people who push the "always believe what women say" narrative) want men to fear women in order to divide us.

Yeah, we can all agree that that dude is an asshole and that was clearly harassment. #metoo is still mostly bullshit, but harassment of women is a real thing.

I mean, aren't they supposed to be reasonably skeptical of sexual assault complaints? They should of course take it seriously but they shouldn't jump to conclusions.

Come on are you serious? I know that modern feminism is bad but let's not shit on the accomplishments of people who actually did good things. The Married Women's property act, women's suffrage, economic rights. Also, I think that the term "feminism" is misused. Feminism was entirely about women at a time when they didn't have the same rights as men did. I am not a feminist in any way, but I don't think that the examples I offer to you are "virulently anti-male", you're again thinking of modern f…

What we see today in western society is modern feminism, and I think it's unfair to compare old school feminism (which accomplished a lot for women in the west) to modern feminism.

I see nothing wrong in trying to improve the condition of people all over the world. Of course in the end it is up to those culture, but there is nothing wrong in raising awareness and helping in any way you can.

Feminism is not needed anymore in first world countries because we have achieved equality. However, there are lots of places where women still face major issues (in the Islamic world, for example) and feminists could focus their attention on that. I also think that a rebrand is in order, because feminism earned a really bad rap in recent years, courtesy of its most fanatical members.
