Yeah I mean this is for same day f-closes Oh... well, shit. I didn't know you were going for that rate. Looks like I should be the one getting advice from you. You're going to make some AFCs really happy, though. God bless you, good woman.

You might even want to stop at telling him he's cute. I mean.. if the conversation heads sexual, so be it, but I'd recommend almost letting him do that, if he wants. If you tell a AFC type that you think he's cute and then start getting sexual, it might be coming on a little strong for him. I'm pretty much an AFC and the steps to pick me up if I find you somewhat attractive-interesting (there's an energy-mass equivalence in there somewhere): hi (mandatory) cute (display of interest) bit of casua…

Best approach to AFC guys: any compliment.

I say this as someone who has a tendency to... boldly discuss controversial topics. Regardless of audience, it's a good idea to not raise the voice or speak bullshit. Frustration is inevitable, especially when discussing fine points with emotionally driven people, but if you're getting frustrated, it's probably best to end the conversation as quickly and cordially as possible. I find the "agree to disagree" approach to work fairly well. If you're frustrated, the conversation is probably at an im…

This was the start of this thread. He was saying "if women know what PUA's are up to, it ruins the game because you need to keep them in the dark about your actual intentions". I simply called him out on the fact that that's manipulation. I never said that PUA = manipulation. Some of the guys on here do it right and it's a very interesting community. However, some of the guys on here are just manipulative douchebags looking to get laid.

I'm aware of this community's (or perhaps, one side of this community's) ideas of PUA being a kind of self-improvement process and I don't find that Mike is manipulative. He's not deceiving anyone. He's simply improving himself. If you ask me, that's a great goal. Your motivation for doing so might be to attract women, but when it comes down to it, you're not lying to women to get them into bed.

Looking back on it, you make a valid point.

This is the third response I've gotten that tries to play semantics to redefine manipulation.

Manipulation. Almost all applicable definitions mention deceitfulness or controlling others to gain an advantage. I do neither. I assume by "games" you mean dishonesty. That is different than manipulation. By "games", I mean the whole waiting five hours to respond to a text game. If you want to text me, text me. It shouldn't take three days to set up a date.

It all depends on if you have an agenda behind what you do. Currently, I write this to defend myself (prevent my value from decreasing). Previously, I wrote because I was bored and saw a contradiction in what you responded with. When I'm socializing, I'm not trying to "get my way". I don't give enough fucks to put forth the effort to try to manipulate anything. This is probably why (until recently), I hadn't gotten laid in about half a year, and two and a half years before that. If you give the …

I suppose I'd have to agree with that, but then again I've done alright for myself without any manipulation in either direction. (Actually, if I suspect any games are being played whatsoever, it's a huge turn off.) edit: I just realized that what I've written here makes my gender ambiguous and that's somewhat relevant. Male.

What you're describing is manipulation.

I hear a lot of talk about "frames" around here. Is that basically how an actor would say "being in character"?

I noticed this is your first day on reddit. Ideally, this would be a response to "whoever said it's only creepy...". Also, the grammar nazis have been less strict lately but I wouldn't be surprised if you got called out in the future. But this is just a heads up, really.

I'm going to need to see your credentials on calling that last one not creepy. That seems to be the creepiest one of those that you listed.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
