This has nothing to do with your mother being a housewife and everything to do with her being a paranoid, controlling, abusive mental case. Get out as soon as possible.

Hypergamy is the need for a woman to get the best man she feels she can get at her current level of sexual market value / achievement level... It is rooted in evolution for women to mate with the best provider that ensures her genes are passed on. Hubs loses job, gets depressed... All of a sudden "I love him I'm just not in love with him."

Yeah from the other (man's) side, the prospects that I find most attractive are within about 5 years younger. Much younger than that, and you start to have more generational and experiential differences. For a potential LTR where all that matters, anyway. Plus, men grow up a lot in their 30s. The ones who are going to, anyway. 😂 Your experience will likely be a lot better going for guys in the low and mid 30s.

Stay away from the "guy friend". Having deeper conversations with him than you feel you can with your SO is a recipe for disaster.

Yes, attraction has many other facets besides looks. For most, looks is the main one but not for all. So you're pretty handled on looks, then you need to work on whatever other factors they talk about around here. Confidence is huge. Read things. Do things. Be not only a good looking, but and interesting and engaging person.

One of the central concepts I've learned since I was red pilled is how to recognize the signs of someone who has a high level of interest and invest my time and energy there instead of someone with a lower level of interest. You cannot negotiate attraction. You can maximize your attractiveness, which you should do, but everyone has different tastes, and this dude was obviously low interest. It very well may be that you are aiming above your SMV. Most women do. Just put in the work to maximize yo…

Not gonna lie, it's a tall order. Decent looking, in shape guy who makes good money and doesn't have kids is going to have a lot of options. Same guy that has kids part time is gonna be looking for someone else that has kids part time because hes gotten used to his no-kids time and it's tough to give that up. Not sure how bad the mental/emotional issues are, but you are on the right path to be improving those things so that you maximize your odds when you do find a decent prospect. SMV is king (…

This. Drinks after work when she's already made up and just needs a refresh. If it's going well, you can continue on to dinner. If it's clear there's no chemistry, call it a night early. Also, there are a not insignificant percentage of women going on dates just for free meals. Happened multiple times to me. The first time took me 3 dates. The second took me one. Now it's drinks first.

That's a long time. Usually the "I love you"s come around 6-8 weeks. No point speculating why he hasn't said it - just tell him how you feel when the moment is right, and be prepared for anything. If he does, if he doesn't... Truth and communication almost always better than wondering. If he's red pill he is waiting for you to say it first. Good luck!

I'm not sure he needs to hear that in order to know he's the one you want to be with. Just keep being with him. That's a great indicator. 😂 How long have you been dating?

Kathleen Turner much? I had adolescent fantasies seeing "Romancing the Stone" Really, don't worry about this. If it bothers you and there's something you can do about it... Then by all means save up for a "voice job" (no idea if something like that even exists) ...but really, a guy who likes the rest of the package isn't going to care, and may even like it. Not sure I agree with telling him she's jealous of women in a game. Perhaps you should be glad that his female "friends" are centered around a particular activity that is online and not real world based. These women are not taking time away from you any more than anyone (the men) that are playing the game he plays. If you trust him, then trust him. If the time he plays is excessive, and THAT bothers you, communicate that... Does he have female friends in the real world? Are any of them exes?

"in any negotiation, the one who holds the power is the one willing to walk away and never look back." So, you need to be willing to do that. Consenting to an open relationship that you do not want will not end well, for all the reasons the other replies have stated. So, give him the choice of being with you or being with other women. He may choose you, he may not. Either way you'll be true to yourself which is the important thing. Your alpha widow comment brought to mind a quote from Rollo Toma…

The woman is pathetically vulnerable in marriage?? Family court is ridiculously biased toward women. No. And since a man has a 40% chance of ending up there not of his own accord, (50% of marriages end in divorce where 80% are initiated by women) a "forever mindset" isn't worth the marriage certificate it's written on.

Because none of those things relate to materials or the ability to acquire them. The Oxford definition of materialistic is "excessively concerned with material possessions; money-oriented." Youth, beauty, happiness, fertility, and exclusivity are not those things. Whether they are coming from a place of insecurity and competition or not, it is for the vast majority of the female population the truth. I can only think of one type of "illegal porn"... Being forthright is less impressive if you consider that he'd have a very difficult time explaining why you and he can't buy that house within 2000 of a school or day care center, or when you run the sex offender app your own address pops up. Sure, yeah, it's possible for people to change. Question is... At this point, is it a bet worth making?

If he took pictures and video of you without your knowledge, I would bet my next paycheck he has some of his not legal 15 year old "wife" on his cell phone. What are the child porn laws in India? Do you have an equivalent to the FBI there that takes anonymous tips? Just thinking out loud here.

Don't. Unblock. Him. Ever. Narcissists do not change. Things do not get better. There is no treatment. He will never, ever, ever be good for you. He will 100% continue to destroy your mental health if you continue contact. Best of luck to you on your journey back to normalcy. I know how hard the road is. I met my girlfriend shortly after she finally walked away from 10 years with an NPD. It has been a very painful 2 years of almost negligible recovery and that was with no contact.
