at the bottom of the article there is a thumbnail of an old white dude and the title reads "Man who exposed his genitals to 5 year old girl on downtown Portland TriMet bus gets nearly 3 years" Not saying what he did was a good thing, it is definitely gross and he deserves to get punished but that little girl isn't going to die from seeing that. This little boy could die next time if his mom doesn't stop choking him. What will the Oregon Police do then, extend her probation??

(I mean, if I had my druthers, they wouldn't even think about sex until they were like 25.) "You don't own her, she can have sex when SHE's ready!!!" This would be their immediate response.

It's all good. People are really mad at the NFL but really they should be more enraged at the DA and the laws in New Jersey that failed this situation.

He was charged and since he is a first time offender he was given mandatory counseling. Apparently it is something that New Jersey specifically has in place for first time offenders and since the casino/hotel was in New Jersey he is able to utilize that. People are mostly mad cause he didn't receive jail time. http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2014/5/23/5744964/ray-rice-arrest-assault-statement-apology-ravens

Depending on what state you live in, they sometimes automatically sign you up when you get your license. So you could be signed up for it and not even be aware of it.

correct, but most "programs" are ones that you have to apply to after the first 2 years of taking lower level courses in that area and other relating areas. At my college I had to take 2 years as a "pre-business" student and then hit certain grades as well as apply myself to become a full blown Business (Accounting to be specific) major. By this period you should already know if you truly are interested or not. Most Nursing programs are similar to my above example as well.

"I don't like it, make him turn it off. I DON'T LIKE IT!! I DON"T LIKE IT!! MAKE HIM TURN IT OFF!!!" How many times did she threaten someone, I counted at least 4 times where she said that she would do physical harm to someone.

I can write random "facts" too: 100% of rape on Mars is by men. dear Muslims, you may not be a suicide bomber but some are so we can't tell which of you are or aren't. (See how dumb this sounds) and finally, all men are privileged, especially those that are homeless, in the military and mindlss drones that slave the 9-5 so their oppressed wives can stay home , so STOP MANSPLAINING AND SHUT UP & LISTEN TO WOMEN!!

To be fair she is upfront at all times, except for the two dates she mentions, about her intentions. Not like she is hiding this from them just to get free stuff. I've gone out with some young ladies back in college that were upfront with me about them not wanting to settle down, just looking to meet some new people, etc. You can't really say they were using you in anyway if you continue to ask them to join you at places and pay for meals/entertainment if you knew this ahead of time.

Looked at the "Schools of Shame" map, my favorite has to be one of the largest universities in the US, Arizona State University. They get a ton of flack from media for being "easy" to get into and also for its' students being promiscuous. Yet they only had 19 reported sexual assault cases in 2012. Their student population is over 59,000. That means that 0.03% of the students in 2012 reported a sexual assault. Yet, they are listed on this "shame" list because they MUST be under reporting.

"A teenager emerges from the crowd and walks toward him. Janice looks worried and nervous, and they move into a hallway so they can speak more privately. She’s 19, and studying to work in health care. She’s doing well, but it’s the end of the school year and her student funding has run out but she hasn’t found a job. She has a baby, no food, and her rent is due in two days. Her boyfriend is in jail. She says a government worker told her that morning they won’t help her. She starts to cry. “OK,” …

People that love to shoot down others because they "don't know what they are talking about" should take a long hard look at this. It's time to stop playing the blame game and to start realizing the whole picture, PV is horrible and is done by both sexes (almost to the exact amount according to all of these listed surveys.)

That is the worst part about it all for sure. No matter what the results were the kids were already damaged by either being actually molested or by being around constant fighting by their parents over something that didn't happen. Children's emotional state of mind is shaped during their younger years and being around constant fighting will affect them negatively.

"It's astonishing that in our country, in 2014, loving parents can still be denied basic legal protections for their own children," said GLAAD President & CEO Sarah Kate Ellis. "As a gay mother of twins myself, it breaks my heart to think that Joe and Jason's family has now been put in harm's way, simply because they live in a state that refuses to respect their legal marriage. Every parent should be able to protect their own child, regardless of who they love or where they live." Amen to that, …

Would hate to run into Mary Sullivan, yeesh. That girl has her cross-hairs set directly at men. But back on topic, yes innocent until proven guilty. While rape is horrible, just like murder, it must actually be proven. It seems nowadays too many people jump the gun and INSTANTLY want vigilante justice against someone who was just looked into or arrested as a suspect for a crime. Keyword there..... suspect.

My son has the two greatest things a child can have, a loving Mother and Father. We care enough to teach him right and wrong, no matter gender or race. I don't need to teach him how to specifically associate with feminism or any other ism, or look at one group of people in a special way.
/r/MensRights13/06/14 06:29 PM

really..... when we talk about not grouping all feminists in generalized and blanket statements about men, you're then going to blanket all /r/MensRights? I think some people just misread or didn't fully read the original comment, which led to them down voting. P.S. even though I disagree with your statement I will not downvote you, we all have the freedom of speech.

yeah....about that. This isn't happening. "12. Read books about feminism, to your kids and to your self." & "14. Use "feminism," "patriarchy," "misogyny," "sexism" and related words in your everyday conversations with kids, and take time to listen to their use of those words. They have brilliant insights about the oppression they see." Really, why would I tell my son about Misogyny? I'd rather talk to him about things like treating all people with respect and being courteous. Just like I do with…

If another human being makes a final decision on whether or not to have sex with you because of whether or not you label yourself perfectly with them, then that is not a person that you will want a relationship with. If this whole post is real, and not just a troll, then maybe take a step back and really think of whether or not you should think about labeling yourself either, cause at this point I would say not to. I say this because if feminists find out that you're labeling yourself with them …

No, like he just stated, if that is your standard as to why you'd be one over the other, then do not become a MRA. Also, feel free to ask /r/feminism how much sexual gratification you can expect by becoming a male feminist. I'm sure that will go over super well with them /s

nothing about the men's movement, IMO, is about sexual gratification. It is mostly about, once again IMO, making sure that issues that face men are not swept under the rug and overlooked. We are not in competition with any women's right issues but rather complimentary. As many people have stated in this subreddit prior, this is not a zero sum game. Just because we point out or bring forward an issue, like parental rights, does not mean that we are dismissing issues that women face, but rather ad…

http://www.rockabyebabymusic.com/collection?artists_name=black+sabbath If you haven't seen these before, then I'd suggest you look into them. I bought 5 or 6 of these and played them constantly for my son from birth till he was about 1. They're a good way to still enjoy your music and they are done in a way they can actually put your son asleep for a nap. The best part, my 2 year old now hears a Metallica or Black Sabbath song and perks up, cause he knows that beat, that rhythm of the song and i…

While I respect your stance and agree that he did mention things that make him appear that he "deserved" women I will only point out this one thing. He did mention in his manifesto that (and this is a direct quote) "This First Phase will represent my vengeance against all of the men who have had pleasurable sex lives while I’ve had to suffer. Things will be fair once I make them suffer as I did. I will finally even the score." So you can see that while yes, he did hate women, he also hated men.

Thank you for correcting what you were referring to. Entering your property and the original scenarios are quite different. For what you're referring to, yes pretty much everyone questions why any person has come onto their property uninvited (if not a mail carrier/ UPS personnel). I think it's still a little off how she limits that feeling to men though. Any person, male or female, comes onto my property uninvited and not because they're providing me a service I instantly question in my head wh…

When you're searching something on Google and using multiple words, by using quotes it then looks for all words consecutively...... rather than just Men or Rape somewhere on the page. So if Men were in the title and six articles down it says the word rape it would pop up in search result. But if quotes are used only where the combination "men are rapists" is present, would those pages appear in the results page.

The overall theme I, along with most people do not have a problem with, yes find and bring those girls back but it's the "women's worldwide plight" they include in their stance that gets me. For instance, this is pulled straight from the article (2nd paragraph, 4th sentence): "While continually funding women's rights based organizations is so important, at the moment, our voices are the most powerful weapon at our disposal..." Why is funding women's rights based organizations so important. It sh…
