I can say your husband is not a man but a irresponsible, amoral boy and you should get rid of him. The love you have reserved for him should be given to someone who is more deserving of it, and there will be that someone - I assure you. I am a man and I agree fully with what bittersweet311 has said.

Oh is that true though? If landlords can provide a 2 week notice for eviction, then why can you not either? If you're the only name on the lease, your partner has no right to stay there. If you own a place, similar to a tenancy agreement, you can make the terms clear in the cohabitation agreement. I would only cohabitate if I rented a place to myself or owned my own place, made sure my co-hab partner didn't get her name on any of my stuff, and made the terms clear in the cohabitation agreement t…

I think 7 states in the USA recognise common law marriage claims. Yes of course, I will be setting rules and of course I won't tolerate any bullshit. It could be as a roommate yes but that will be a private live-in landlord arrangement. I am talking about that of a more sexual nature lol. Btw, I'm in no position for this to happen yet, just thought I would get some info in advance. It will only be if I live alone or own my own place anyway, which is yet a few years down the line. It does seem ma…

I haven't made my mind up, would just like to know the laws around it in the UK.

I don't think it is I'm afraid mate. There is no common-law marriage in the UK unlike in Canada. I've read it's mostly in marriage here when it comes to splitting assets but I'm no expert. In terms of marriage itself also it's not to the level of USA as you have some protection for assets you owned previous to getting married. You can also enter a cohabitation agreement but you can set the terms (what's mine is mine etc.), much like a pre-nup / post-nup marriage but is actually more legally prot…

Yes I understand. I would only do it for a bit with someone I deem sane and attractive (getting towards unicorn level I know) then see if I need to kick them out after a while. In any case I have fairly strong boundaries so will not tolerate any mindfuckery lol.

Sorry I thought by RP you meant reply poster. Yeh fair enough, but 87% of the time they go the mother. The father doesn't get a say unless he can prove the mother is abusive or neglectful etc. It's just expected it goes to the mother otherwise. Of course shared custody also happens, but children still live with the mother most of the time. It's not until the age of 12 where the child can decide. I'm not saying this is a bad thing either, young children are probably better off with their mothers …

Ah and there's the classic pat each other on the back with neurotic projections and dishing out the usual feminist disrespect. I think we all must have touched a nerve cause it was getting too real lol. Literally what's the point in coming onto a sub to ask a question if you know you won't like the answers? All these people have taken time out of their day to answer your question and you've entirely disregarded what's been said and disrespected everyone here. If you can't handle debate like an a…

I never said children are stolen from their father, but it's interesting that you bring that up as it's pretty obvious that is what happens. The unconscious mind is brilliant. In many cases does not mean all. The point is regardless of what the father says the children go to the mother. Majority of caregiving but not parenting. Last time I checked children are normally parented by a mother and father. Do you know how disastrous being raised by a single mother is to children, particularly young b…

Haha yup true. A bit of paradox really! We should implement a real tyrannical patriarchy. It would do us so good.

There's an enormous difference? For example, if a 11/10 rich, hot, intelligent guy messages you saying "You're hot" then after you get some butterflies something like "I've got some wine that needs drinking. Want to come over? Might get a food delivery too" - this is just approaching someone but if a 5/10 guy does the same approach you won't get butterflies and it is just shameless thirst. And yes that does happen and I'm sure jokes are made about worse things. The real joke is that in the many …

It's in these men's self-interest to keep being "thirsty" as they get more "sex" and this is male nature formed over millenia and they don't have to commit to anyone. It's not in females self-interest to keep trying to sleep with and score the most attractive males (high value male as r/femaledatingstrategy likes to put it), who probably aren't that amazing anyway and disregard many available and better suitors. Hypergamy obviously has its benefits but it should be limited and conducted more rat…

Thanks for your comment and I agree wholeheartedly with your perspective on this. I have seen it happen in my own family too (unstable aggressive women) so I understand where MGTOW is coming from and I am very careful with women in regards to boundaries and staying my own person. But yes, I think the crux of it is that AWALT is wrong and no better than this militant feminism we see today. That's what I have a problem with in this community, for instance when people post what some emotionally imm…

I'll need to see this poll to believe it. I already have! The post got removed from MGTOW. Seems the moderators are a bit hypersensitive and do not like a basic discussion lol. Terah now.

I made a mistake - it's actually all marriages in the UK. USA is in the same region. You're right, remarriages have worse statistics. Fair enough, it's not a good number for sure but still in the majority of cases they last till death.

Well it is a philosophy which you live by so it should be able to stand to some scrutiny. Even if I got divorced I wouldn't say ALL women are bad. I am perfectly happy with you living this way btw. I just have a problem with some of the posts on this sub-reddit blaming women for all kinds of things and that does men no favors and instills an unrealistic view of women in general.

Well it has been tried and is ongoing, hence why I mentioned it. I am aware I am referring to UK but America is in this region too haha. I'm sure 30% of sexless marriages is mostly made up of pensioners. The fathers who raise other's kids do so by choice. And divorce filing is probably not so high for women but yeh it's hard to explain that one. Sorry about your situation, she was probably a nutcase. Edit: Another thing, neither do I! Thanks for your post.

Fair enough. I like your writing style. I wasn't making a man-up argument but in general but only that both sexes need to be careful. For instance, people with borderline personality disorder have on average double the amount of sexual partners in a lifetime, and this often likely to be a relationship or marriage death sentence. There are also benefits to being in a long-term relationship such as lower rates of depression etc. I don't really agree with this whole idealistic magic virgin thing - …

I understand your point. And I like your comparison. However, I would view marriage or relationships like a garden which both parties need to work on it. You can make it as beautiful and nice as you like but it needs careful management or it will begin to overgrow and get nasty.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
