Well…the men avoiding women thing to avoid false allegations is somehow hilarious to me bc it reminds me of sex Ed where all they would talk about us abstinence. Which admittedly does work but isn’t very helpful or good at reducing teen pregnancies. For teens and waiting, unfortunately, I’m not sure what else to say. People are going to do what they’re going to do, but the research shows this is a higher risk group in terms of false accusations and I can’t really change that. Maybe date first an…

Well there’s nuance there, imo. 18 may be an adult in some places by some laws, but we don’t live in the kind of society anymore where people are very mature at that age and we have longer lifespans. Gone are the days where most pple could be independent at 18. I would argue that to some extent we have prolonged childhood and most people don’t have a more adult mindset until around 20 these days. Like the second someone turns 18 you don’t wake up any different from the day b4 when you were 17. M…

Ok well this post was about finding ways to protect yourself against false accusations, but sure, go ahead and say ur creepy without saying ur creepy. Since the technicalities of the law seem to be your moral compass, I’m guessing you also agree with concepts like alimony, since they are technically legal they MUST be morally correct, yeah?

I know teenagers have had false allegations against them. That’s why I said teenagers who are REALLY concerned about this should consider waiting until they’re a bit older if they want to reduce their odds 🙄. The research shows the women most likely to lie are the ones trying to avoid getting in ‘trouble.’ If the woman is an adult who lives on her own and makes her own decisions, she doesn’t have anyone she’s answerable to so she’s much less likely to do it. Probably should avoid married women f…

In general: Don’t have sex while drinking or while she has been drinking (or under the influence of any kind of substances). And ask for verbal consent. Statistically: Studies show teenagers are the most likely to make false accusations of rape, in order to avoid getting in trouble with their parents. Sometimes the teenagers have nothing to do with it at all - the parents actually make the accusation. Obviously it goes without saying that no adult men should be pursuing teenagers in any way. If …

Oh, he was ok. Kind of emotionally explosive, but a nice guy sometimes. Yep, looks like we’ve had pretty different experiences. Its almost like we live in different worlds. Maybe it’s that whole echo chamber thing, idk. In terms of the post, I didn’t comment on much else bc it seemed kind of like you just wanted to vent, but in general when it comes to the distribution of chores I think the biggest thing in a relationship would just be to pre-discuss what kind of standards y’all want to maintain…

I actually have absolutely heard of boyfriends who stay home. My ex stayed home for a while when he got tired of working and asked me to quit my doctoral degree to financially support him (previously, we were both working full time, though I was the only one working on a degree as well).

Actually, the article also talks at some length about the decline of male labor force participation.

Looking at that source, it looks like 69% of men work, but it also indicates that 57% of women work. This isn’t a difference of zero, but 12% isn’t drastically different when you account for the fact that a majority of that 12% are probably providing the childcare. Basically, a majority of women work too.

“Men are still the majority of workers in relationships.” Huh?!?! Never been in a relationship with a man where both of us didn’t have a full time job. Also never met any couple where both didn’t work full time, at least in the US. Maybe you’re talking about people who are independently wealthy. But most people in today’s society work full-time, both men and women. There may be slightly more men who work than women, and this is likely due to the fact that kids need childcare and childcare is rid…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
