You have a very closed-minded view of the world, and I genuinely hope you learn to accept that not all men are like that, because I once held similar views against women. I sincerely hope you move on past whatever hatred you're holding onto; I know how it feels.

I do generally agree with your first two sentences though, it's just that you initially said guys have "no" empathy. It's weird that you're trying to shame me and call it cringe that I'm just offering my input here. I don't want to argue with you, that's not why I'm on this sub. So there's no point in getting hostile.

Saying that guys have no empathy is a pretty harmful generalization, don't you think?

Reading the other comments in this thread, I'm inclined to agree with them that this guy doesn't sound like great long-term material at all. And the fact that he can't communicate well with you either is indicative that this relationship may have run its course. You should let him know before he moves to your state.

I'm sorry to hear that. Do you believe this damage could ever be undone, no matter how well he treats you or how many compliments you receive? If you don't see that future, it might be time to consider ending things before you two close the long-distance gap.

I think a bigger problem is the fact that he called a twitch streamer his 'top girl' and follows a cam girl. I'm a guy, but I think that's a red flag for anyone. The fact that he does this and doesn't seem to show you a lot of appreciation could be that he doesn't take the relationship seriously. You mentioned that you two talked about it and 'gotten over it', but have you really? It still clearly bothers you, I think you should re-evaluate how much he is contributing to this relationship and ho…

I'm sure you're doing a great job. That sounds very difficult to do, but I'm sure he's also very thankful for your support. Even just being there for him must help his mental well-being so much.

I'm a guy, so take that as you will, but I've been in your situation a few times as well. Most of my relationships have been online/long-distance. I won't say that they can't work out, but it is very hard to pull off, as you know. 20 isn't old enough to start worrying about ending up alone, even if you have zero real-life relationship experience. In fact, I'd bet most men would see that as a positive thing. However, you've had the benefit of having online relationships. And I will definitely say…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
