You guys shoot down any differing opinion screaming "white knight" and "cuck!" In this case it wasn't even a differing opinion... I was just digging into the story a little beyond the shocking headline. But of course since it didn't fall lock and step into your predefined narrative... "OMG whiteknight cuck!" How do you feel when the feminists scream "incel!" as soon as someone says something that doesn't support their narrative? That's exactly what you are doing. It's immature and makes the grou…

The article was kinda lacking in details. It didn't say if she even had a legit diagnosis. I don't know enough about psychology to split hairs though... just call it "metal health problems."

I wasn't "making an excuse." It was in response to how he could possibly "not allow her to seek mental help." Reading comprehension isn't your strong suit. And this is the second time you've called be a "white knight" in the same thread. Get some new material.

FFS... the post above mine literally said "there's two sides to every story." also: It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it. Apparently having an intelligent discussion is not allowed on this sub. Carry on with your name-calling and mental-midgetry.

Also completely valid. I'm sure this came up during the trial though.

It sounds like she's a Ukranian immigrant. Probably a culture of female obedience cause her to not seek help when he told her no. Also, sounds like he was abusive, possibly physically and mentally. He could have threatened her if she sought help (pure speculation, of course, but there are many possibilities here). This isn't as cut and dry as "she got a pussy-pass." It's hard to even imagine a gender-swapped version of the story. Men are physically stronger than women, so they can intimidate mor…

Is it really that hard to post the fucking link? https://www.kare11.com/article/news/day-care-provider-who-hanged-toddler-sentenced-to-probation/89-574401488 Denys said that his mother told him she had suicidal thoughts and a week before the incident told him she was worried she might hurt someone else, but her husband would not allow her to seek help. Husband sounds like a POS too. She needs to be in a mental institution, not home on probation.

It seems like assumption is that men "escape" into their man-cave to avoid chores. This might be true to some douchebag husbands still stuck in 1950, but for the most part, a man-cave is a space for the husband to actually decorate how he likes, and put stuff he's interested in. Where else would he hang a framed jersey, or dart board? Most of the time a "man-cave" is more of a masculine decorated family/rec-room than a closed off "cave" with a metaphorical "no gurls allowd!" sign on it. A man ha…

LOL... horrible timing. Right as the rest of the country is talking about how backwards and retarded Alabama is for forcing women to carry their rape-baby to term, they pass another law regrading rape which will be seen as anti-woman.

How does 50/50 even work? Do the kids change homes each month? each week? Seems like 50/50, while fair for the parents, could be pretty disruptive to a child's routine.

This post needs to be higher. Everyone here is so adamant about "getting revenge" on false accusers, that they are not seeing the bigger picture. This will not only remove any incentive for a false accuser to fess-up, but it will also deter MANY legitimate victims. There is a lot of fear involved with rape; it's an extremely dominating crime. It's like a kid being bullied that is threatened with more violence if he tells a teach or whatever. Now adding a layer of legal repercussions on top of th…

I was gonna say something similar. I dislike Amy Schumer because she is unfunny and cringey. She's not hollywood-attractive here, but to me looks like a pretty average woman in her 30s at the beach. People are letting their distaste for her personality cloud the physical reality.

At face value, ladies night is sexist. In reality, men love it because there are more ladies at the bar, so it gets a pass. Just because something is a double-standard, doesn't mean it's inherently bad. Ladies night is basically a win-win for everyone. OTOH, there is literally no upside to this coffee shop's ridiculous man-tax.

Whatever the solutions are, though, Rose and Hartmann’s report is a reminder that when we think about policies to close the pay gap, we can’t just look at what working men and women are making in a given year. We have to look at the men and women who aren’t working, why they’re not working, and how that affects their careers over the long term. Well, no shit, Sherlock. This is the problem with any mention of the "wage gap." Feminists cry about it, MRAs deny it exists. Well, it DOES exist. But it…

The Supreme Court and state supreme courts have upheld the notion that words alone are not enough to create an immediate apprehension of physical injury; instead, the words must (usually) be accompanied by an act that makes the fear reasonable. How does that apply to threats?
/r/MensRights19/12/16 12:30 AM

I'd like to see the context of this to see what OP objected to in the first place. Me too. That's the problem here. We have no context. OP just wanted to point out how fragile those cunts are and can't handle a difference of opinion, and so they banned him. Pathetic.
/r/MensRights18/12/16 09:28 PM

So next time I don't shave for a few days and wear my dirty work pants out in public and some paranoid man hater decides I'm raping her by standing in line at the grocery store then I should go to jail? Umm... where did anyone say anything even close to that??
/r/MensRights18/12/16 09:26 PM
8

Without context in the OP's screencap, I have no idea to what extreme that discussion going. What was the actual thread about? Intimidation can be a very real thing when the perpetrator is doing nothing illegal as well. Wasn't there an issue with Black Panther members loitering around polling places in the 2014 midterm elections?
/r/MensRights18/12/16 09:23 PM

Is this a real story? If so, that's ridiculous.
/r/MensRights18/12/16 09:19 PM

Isn't intimidation and coercion illegal? By doing either, you're not physically hurting someone, just making them feel unsafe enough to do your bidding. So, depending on how you look at it, they may have a point. But shutting down the discussion and banning someone making an opposing point is retarded.

These people thinking they would just break ties with a child after 15 years are delusional. That's just because we don't have a very glamourized "thug culture" as depicted in all rap music ever. The "because" is irrelevant. Recognize that it exists. A white person gets treated with less suspicion than a black person, all other things being equal. Being privileged with salesmen is getting good deals, not being taken seriously. The good deals and the extra favors, you get those by showing cleavage. Women are much more likely to get ripped off by salesmen due to the perception that they d…

Regardless of how progressive society is, and how equal the laws are, a white person is still taken more seriously in a lot of situations, and given the benefit of the doubt in run ins with the law more often than with people of color. Also, men in general are taken more seriously by salesmen, service personnel, etc. And let's not ignore the fact that men are typically physically stronger than women. Call me crazy, but I don't think society needs to help child molesters, especially when were talking legit pedophiles, not some wishy washy case involving an adolescent. These people don't need help; they need a couple bullets to the back of the head. They have no place in society, and it's not worth the effort to try to "fix" them. The pay gap in Hollywood is an idiotic argument. It's not like a normal profession such as an accountant, engineer, surgeon, or whatever, where there is a specific job that anyone with a specific set of skills and credentials can do. The phrase "all else being equal" can be used since there are clearly defined factors involved with the salary that a professional makes. Thanks for this explanation. Too many here are focusing on the double standard. I'm sure there's some neat little logical fallacy about arguing a point by comparing it to something else rather than actually making an argument in and of itself. There is about half a dozen tangential arguments here, but I'm done wasting my time arguing. Medical leave is not a vacation. Calling it as such belittles it's necessity. That's exactly what it is. It's time when mommy doesn't work so she can spend time on her personal hobby. And so now raising a child is a hobby. Good grief. When did /r/MensRights become /r/childfree? You're using terminology that is intentionally inflammatory. Congratulations? Stop calling it a "vacation," or "mommy holiday." It makes you sound jealous and bitter. The reason women get 3 months maternity leave (in the USA at least) is because it is in the best interest of the baby, not so the mother can have a "vacation." Personally, I think the FMLA should be expanded to 6 months or more. A three month old baby is still extremely fragile, and dependent on its mother for nourishment. Paternity leave sounds awesome because I would love to have some time off, but in real…

it's like we need a secondary term for the wage gap. I wasn't referring specifically to parents. Pop culture has a big influence on people's choices in life, and pop culture now (and especially in the early 1990s when current college students were kids) is pretty biased toward girls = pretty, delicate pricensses, while boys are always the important roles. While there were some outliers that subverted the norms, gender roles were still pretty prominent in 90s culture.

I'll say that deciding to write an article about this in the style and tone he did seems pretty white-nighty and male-guiltish, but I really can't argue with the points he makes. What a completely idiotic analogy. Yes, race and sex are both things that can be used as criteria for discrimination, but they are not equal in every respect. Fro example, nobody has a problem with segregating bathrooms to each sex, but it would be wrong to have white's and black's bathrooms.
