Haha nope. Been sprayed with OC many, many times as a use-of-force instructor. No permanent damage. Also been CS gassed more times than I can count. And hit with an ECW. OC hurts to be certain, but unless you get a hypodermic needle effect from it there isn't any permanent damage done.

Former soldier with multiple tours here. I worked with women who were every bit as competent as their male counterparts on every deployment I went on, and it was actually a female medic that dragged me to safety and ultimately saved my life after being hit by an IED. It's about the individual and their capabilities, not the gender.

she just felt like my video gaming was a way to shut her out of my life and that I placed gaming before her. No. In Canadian law it is the Crown that charges people. The crime in criminal court is said to be against the state, as it is worded as R. Vs whoever. Crimes can be prosecuted even if the actual victim doesn't want it.

I've been in this situation several times, overseas and domestically. My response is automatic - see threat, neutralize threat. Overseas the response was lethal force, domestically I've had less-lethal tools and a team at my disposal. Women with weapons, especially firearms or edged weapons, are no less of a threat than a man. I acted to save the lives of me and my troops and I'd do the same again in a heartbeat.
