3	Evidence that people are becoming more conscious of gender issues for men can come from the strangest places.... As a Brony I can say that a good 80% or so of male bronies go through the "am I gay for watching this" phase. 1	U.S. says Texas police department discriminated against women - by requiring they pass the same physical test required for men. 1	U.S. says Texas police department discriminated against women - by requiring they pass the same physical test required for men. For my NJROTC program we have to do a mile instead of 1.5 miles. I just dug through my CRM and found the scores for everything (this is from 2011). For situps girls aged 14 have to do 34 to get the ribbon, while guys have to do 41. Pushups: Girls, 5. Guys, 20 (I think there might have been a typo, since from 13-14 the girl's requirements go down. Also, the girl's Outstanding score is 20 here). Mile run: Girls, 11:10. Guys, 8:30. 2	Why is it politically correct to worry about the affect of media on women's self esteem and not men? I'm not gonna argue that men's body issues are worse than women's because they're not. 2	my son had his first run in with sexism, i thought this would't happen until he was older:( I do, too. All it takes is not treating every girl as a innocent princess that shouldn't be within 10ft of a boy for fear of being corrupted. The past 5 days I volunteered to be a counselor at a local bible school (gave me 15 out of the 20 hours for the NJROTC community service ribbon) and since I was the only guy offering to lead the kids around, I was stuck with the 5 hyper-active boys.
