Side note: You can also just eat whole, unadulterated foods. Whatever you do, make your diet vegetable-heavy. Juice is good though, I cannot deny. Gotta be watchful when juicing fruit though; it's too easy to get 1/4-1/2 of your daily calories in a large glass of fruit juice.

Weight loss is 80% diet, and, to boot, it's not the kind of diet the FDA endorses. So long as you don't have an actual metabolic disease, massive weight loss is achievable regardless of your current weight. Doesn't even matter if you have bad joints. (They'll most likely start feeling better as the poundage comes off.) Check out r/keto for starters, then r/paleo for maintenance. Sorry about the extra-weight-on-the-frame pain.
