It's funny bc this is just traditional gender roles but it's still interpreted as "women better." No matter what they're doing, we have to work backwards from the "fact" that women are better. Give me groceries and I can also make a meal. Most people do that everyday. Anyone who is impressed by that is a loser.

It would be, and I hope that women do retain their right. It will factor into how I vote this year. But the fact remains that pro choice was the status quo for 50 years and there was never any push for similar rights for men and it's okay to be frustrated by the reactions today for women losing rights men never had. It's not hypocritical.

I really hate the "men will do anything to avoid therapy" meme. I went for 3.5 years. I wish I could undo that. Think it's left me worse off and I think part of the reason why is it has an ideological issue with men.

This week I've been watching The Great on Hulu. They had done a pretty good job of not throwing that stuff in for awhile, but it's had more explicit stuff about how women are innately smarter and how innately gullible men are. How do you deal with the degrading discussions of men on tv shows? I've lived with it to one degree or another for my entire life, but lately it makes me want to scream in the void.
