It is definitely sexual assault. I feel totally violated just when a guy thinks it's ok to 'slip the tip in' when you have been clear that condoms are a requirement not an option. They don't care to ask if you're on birth control. In their mind they may think they're clean but they don't ask if I think I'm clean. As a single mid 30s woman I also don't know if I could make the choice to have an abortion in the case of accidental pregnancy. I don't want to rely solely on the pill because I don't w…

One thing I love is when someone across the bar buys me a drink, bartender knows what I ordered before, brings me another one and points out who bought it, no pressure to engage with them but this is often likely to result in me going over and approaching them. You could spend money with no result but sometimes girls are caught up in their own worlds and don't notice someone across the room and this subtle approach sparks my curiosity, I see quiet confidence that is quite attractive. It's only h…

That's very smart but trust still matters, please be honest if you're sleeping with other people, discovering you've been lied to can lead to unnecessary trust issues that can impact future relationships with other people. It's much better to be given control and be allowed to make the choice of whether or not you want to keep seeing someone who is definitely seeing other people. Be careful with telling girls that you are not seeing anyone else, there is no confirmed commitment but it may be int…

If it's an online date, I don't think of the first meeting as a proper date, it's awkward, I like to keep it under an hour, make sure we can hold a conversation without looking at our watches for 45 minutes. If that's successful, line up a date for a few days time at the end of the date.

I'd be receptive to a message the next day planning an outing in 2-3 days time. Particularly if I'm new in town and need someone to show me around. Do whatever you're comfortable with, if she says no, gold stars to you for at least getting her number, she might even propose a different time that suits her better but if not there will be other girls on the train with more numbers.

Do you have a good wingman? If you're an introvert an extrovert can be a good buddy as the icebreaker, then you can open the conversation more easily.

As a female, make your approaches early in the night or approach someone who hasn't been at the venue long or that you have been making eye contact with through the night. We notice if you have been doing the rounds and you approach us at the end of the night and feel like your last choice.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
