Serious question…. Why can’t women be conscripted to non combat roles? If men truly need to be conscripted for whatever reason then I can’t see a reasonable explanation for why women cannot also be conscripted in support or logistics.

Why does anyone lie about anything? Initially typed a huge paragraph explaining the previous sentence but it stands for itself.

Anything but full disclosure is very unwise, immoral and highly likely to be illegal in many jurisdictions.

It’s not just at the gym you can see this type of attitude and I would say it’s becoming more not less prevalent despite this type of thing being highlighted by people like Joey Swoll and others. Without doubt the false social media narrative of women somehow being constantly harassed and oppressed has warped a lot of people’s minds into thinking the least oppressed generation ever to have existed are somehow under constant threat regardless of wether that’s reflected in reality.

I might go to war for the street I live on but I wouldn’t even mildly inconvenience myself for a stranger, especially in the current climate.

Those people aren’t empathetic, they just see it as a positive character trait/part of their perceived moral superiority. If a group or individual feels the need to constantly express how empathetic or intelligent or hardworking they are then almost invariably they aren’t and are kidding themselves. If you are not able empathise with the personification of everything you detest then you’re not empathetic, seems very obvious to me. If you are only able to feel empathy for those who share your ide…

This is more of an indication of the author’s mental state and perception of reality than it is anything which actually happened as described. What do they actually want? Complete obedience and adherence to their worldview in any given scenario otherwise you’re toxic misogynist?

I think it’s lost its way because it should be for ‘empowering’ and helping the actual most vulnerable female humans in any given situation not used to justify obnoxious divisive social media posts or further their own personal gains or agenda. It’s the same with any anti racism type activism, the most vulnerable minorities don’t actually get help from the people who purport to be championing their rights. Case in point BLM and where that money went and how much of it was used to help the most v…

The only mens rights movement with any traction right now is the one where men identify as female because they couldn’t control their porn addiction. Says a lot about society when the rights of fathers are deemed less important than the rights of chronic masturbators.

You can already avoid the overwhelming majority of the types who only go to film ‘content’ by just going to very unglamorous gyms instead of pure gym.

I’ve never really been into marvel and I probably watched more hours of the animated x men show than any other marvel series but it’s been an eye opener for me to see how marvel and comic book type movies and tv shows have become totally mainstream and the audience and material change as part of that. Nowadays marvel and other comic book type films and shows have become what boring people lap up gleefully and they would have just continued to watch whatever was pumped out within reason but betwe…

Hahaha that is cringe poetry Don’t take it to heart if that’s at all possible, these people are just showing their moral cowardice at every opportunity possible and are desperate to be on what they think is going to be ‘the right side of history’ Not at all trying to denigrate you for feeling how you do but they want you to have a strong negative reaction to this whilst being validated by their online sycophants, pay them no heed and concentrate on what you know or believe to be the correct path…

He’s suggesting we sterilise the male population and we’re supposed to take this seriously? First of all how dare he even suggest such a disgustingly invasive and life changing procedure just for being male in such a flippant manner. He should never be allowed to have any influence over other peoples lives because of his clear bias and lack of compassion. Also this sort of willingness to play to the crowd indicates a significant and worrying lack of honour or moral fortitude. Secondly this is no…

I think it’s a strange situation where a lot of lip service is paid to the ‘welfare of the child’ when in reality it’s more about the whims and desires of the various parties involved and how the system can be used to get your own way.

What a pathetic sentence, no surprise from a place like NZ though. Remember that other case in Australia I think where a ‘woman’ injected her boyfriend with heroin in order to kill him and she only actually served 2 years for manslaughter? Morally reprehensible to allow women to harm men in this fashion and then give such lenient sentences.

They did you and your mental health a favour there buddy. You can’t win the argument on there, or even play devils advocate or just offer a balanced view of reality without being brigaded so it’s best that you don’t participate in that sub.

I remember years ago working in a call centre for a bank where there were a lot of female employees and they had construction workers in renovating some part of the building. One of my friends happened to be one of those workers and as part of the induction process one of the ‘rules’ was any longer than 3 seconds eye contact with a woman is too much. This was 17 years ago though. Whilst that is somewhat absurd I would say it’s probably more likely discourage people feeling harassed than ‘Intrusi…

There seems to be a notable desire to project what older generations may have experienced onto ‘millennials’ in this day and age so along with this type of stuff we get the false assertion that women born between 1980 and 1990 have somehow been conditioned to always put mens needs and feelings first which is just not reflected in reality. I would say the point about movies or the media in general creating certain unrealistic expectations of romantic relationships is a fair point but they just us…

I don’t really understand why you would even do this? What was so exciting about drinking in someone else’s house? Plenty of parents drink every night and just responsibly provide care for their own children but this is just ridiculous behaviour. Just put them to bed and then have a drink, you don’t need to completely abandon them.

I would personally just pay for what I had unless it had been agreed beforehand one person was going to pay for everything. Or it might be a situation where one person is paying for this meal and then the other person is paying a similar amount for another activity and it all balances out but overall I would prefer to just pay for what I had in the scenario you described. I know this place I am confused about the staffing situation on this proposed night though, it’s probably unlikely they have an all female kitchen team or even enough female workers to staff the kitchen. Additionally is it really fair or legal for male staff to be told they can’t work certain days due to what is effectively a gimmick. I’d be happy to report it though because I honestly think this is the thin end of the wedge. Also it doesn’t really guarantee anyones safety in any meaningful sens…

I’ve personally never wanted to cohabit with a romantic partner because I don’t want all the hassle of it whether in the ‘honeymoon’ period or not. How many people just stay in unhappy relationships due to their living situations? I feel like I make compromises and sanitise my behaviour enough already at work and in other situations so I just like my home to be where I can be myself and concentrate on me and what’s best for me and the people/ animals permanently in my life as opposed to investin…

I would honestly avoid touching them if it all possible, it’s a sad situation in many ways but other than trying to establish if they are out with a group which they could be relocated with or calling for medical assistance if needs be I would be very reluctant to be too helpful.

It’s just an easy what to shut down and control discourse, we see similar problems when discussing other types of discrimination too where your innate characteristics are often used in order to render your opinion obsolete or to stop or discourage you from sharing your opinions.

Something like 1 percent of men have an 8 inch penis and obviously larger ones are even less frequent, with this information in mind it strikes me that so many guys are basically made to feel inadequate when they have a perfectly normal and reasonable size based on total falsehoods. It’s actually a disgrace for anyone to feel inadequate as a result of someone who only finds one percent of the male population’s genitals to be sufficient. Cutting right through all the bullshit and innuendo and bas…

We’re all actually under attack and of course we have more in common with each other than we do with the ‘fairer sex’ 🤮 I feel as though going forwards there is likely to be even more of an overlap with the issues we face and ultimately a greater degree of solidarity because they’re already trying to deny the lived experience of gay men by going for the usual ‘CIS’ ‘white’ and income/wealth line or argument.

Pretty sure the best thing for the vast majority to do would just to continue to do what you were doing before as it didn’t involve anything particularly harmful or malevolent anyway. I think often any kind of action you might take to ‘reassure’ another person you’re not going to sexually assault them has the potential to be interpreted in a worse manner than just carrying on about your day in the normal way. What is actually achieved by that sort of thread? Are the people actually committing th…

Thankfully this does get easier as you age but it’s still very easy to be sucked back in by compliments or kind words even if you’re a cynic and a realist like me. No I am not a pessimist! Blind optimism does not actually do you any favours in life.
