I think the trouble with surveys is when you get to topics like race or money. People might change their answer because they don’t want to be perceived as racist or a gold digger. They might even lie to themselves when answering, but their behavior may ultimately prove otherwise.

I think something in the bottom 20% of any category will probably affect you the most. You’d probably have to make top 5% income to overcome being in the bottom 20% for appearance and height. Top 20% income is low $100s, and I don’t think that’s enough to overcome 5’6” and obesity. Same goes for top 20% personal appearance, but you have some clinical mental disorder affecting your personality. You’d have to be pretty tall and attractive to overcome that.

True. Probably not too hard to figure out that for a ONS, importance of appearance and personality go up, and for relationships, money and status go up.

It’s true that some people don’t care about specific things, but this is a generalization. Most people would value a doctor over a cashier, but it doesn’t mean everyone does.

True, but I think some things are universal. A good bone structure looks nice in both denim and a suit.

You think a beautiful face matters if they’re built like Jabba the Hutt?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
