What’s the point of even engaging in debates like this? It’s obvious ragebait, designed to provoke emotional reactions rather than thoughtful discussion. The real lesson here is that people need to learn how to disengage from content that’s clearly engineered to stir up drama. But sadly, that kind of self-restraint is rare

But you see, you’re kind of proving my point here. Whether or not women spend more time on their appearance (which i am inclined to believe), it doesn’t change the data: women still rate men lower across the board, while men rate more evenly. And about that “men only marry who they find attractive” thing; same goes for women. Let’s not act like women are out here settling en masse for men they’re repulsed by. Both sides marry people they’re attracted to. The key difference is just in how they ra…

I wish I could agree with you, but the data just doesn’t back that up; it actually shows the opposite. According to OKCupid data from Dataclysm, men rate women’s looks on a normal distribution. Fairly balanced. Women, on the other hand, rate the vast majority of men below average. So if anyone’s got a skewed perception here, it’s not the guys. The idea that men don’t "notice the low end" just doesn’t hold up when you actually look at how both sides rate each other.

Oh really, "basic hygiene"? Nice theory, but too bad the data doesn’t back you up. The OKCupid numbers from Dataclysm literally show men rate women on a nice bell curve; pretty fair. Women? They rate most men below average. So no, it’s not just about brushing your teeth and not having extra limbs. On average, women are just way more selective. And yeah, I know being seen as something to fuck isn’t desirable. That wasn’t the point, you oat 🤣. The point was that men’s standards are objectively low…

I mean, sure, there are some unattractive girls who get ignored, fair. But calling average women invisible? Seriously? Have you even been online? Dudes are thirsting over every girl-next-door type like it’s their job. 🤣

Or, you know, most guys are just invisible to women because they don’t hit the attractiveness threshold; which, by the way, is way higher for men. Meanwhile, men will literally fuck anything with a pulse.

the point is, some behaviors aren’t taught; they’re hardwired into us. like breathing, for example. nobody has to teach you how to do it, you just do. it’s built into the system from the start. To bring it back to the original post. I don’t fully understand this enough to say i 100% agree, since i haven’t seen enough evidence to conclude. but it could be argued that ranking yourself in a social hierarchy might also be an automatic behavior wired into our brain. evolutionarily, it would make sens…

Who taught you to breathe?

I did answer your question; you just seem unwilling to acknowledge nuance. Not everything is as black and white as you’re making it out to be. People can struggle with conflicting emotions; frustration, loneliness, even bitterness, without it equating to outright hatred. That doesn’t excuse harmful behavior, but it also doesn’t mean those people are incapable of wanting genuine connection or change. There’s more going on beneath the surface than just “love” or “hate.” Anyway, I think we’re just …

You're right, that is an important question, and I think the answer lies in the nuance. I don’t think most of these guys outright "despise" women, even if some of their language or attitudes come off that way. A lot of the resentment comes from pain, rejection, and feeling invisible or unwanted, not hatred. It's frustration mixed with desire for connection; and those two things can definitely coexist, even if unhealthily. And sure, an escort can relieve physical urges, but I don’t think that scr…

I see what you're saying, I didn't interpret the original question that way, and yeah, that interpretation would definitely be a bit strange. Regarding the last part, even if you hypothetically had a guy who resents women because he’s not getting any attention, I don’t think the issue would be solved just by hiring an escort. When I mentioned biological urges, I wasn’t only talking about sex; although that’s obviously a significant part of it. Bonding and forming meaningful connections are also …

It does? Why does it blow your mind that young dudes, specifically, are so eager to get into relationships? It's a pretty strong biological urge for most animals, let alone humans.

I wouldn't really call it clever, to be honest. Women using dating apps to advertise their socials is like setting a mousetrap with cheese in a house already swarming with mice; it's not genius, it's just taking advantage of an obvious situation. The platform is already overflowing with guys desperate for attention, so of course tossing a tag in the bio is going to get clicks. It's low-effort bait in a high-demand environment.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
