I'm late to the thread, but I have to add the anecdotal evidence that the vast majority of anti-abortion people I have met are women. There's an annual anti-abortion protest in my town and the majority of attendees are women.

My mother is definitely on autopilot, with not an ounce of critical thinking skills in her head. The idea of adding many concepts to my metaphorical toolbelt is something I've been exploring for a bit now, and I thank you for the encouragement.

Unfortunately, since I am using insurance as payment, I only really have two more shots at finding a therapist. My current (female) therapist is an intern, so when her term is up I will ask to see a male therapist. If he doesn't work out then I have one chance to ask for a change before being stuck as a "problem patient". Thank you for the encouragement, I will keep my hopes up.

I agree strongly with this sentiment. While many "male feminists" are lying about their beliefs to gain sexual access, many truly are just victims of propaganda who will get tossed aside or steamrolled whenever their maleness is an obstacle. I've seen both sides of that personally. I myself was a true believer, while I knew many men who were purely just in it for attention.

Like I said in the post, she claims to be libertarian but is really just MAGA. She thinks Trump is "a jerk" so she chooses to disassociate herself with the Republicans by claiming to be libertarian. This is pretty standard behavior in her circles.

My extremely misandrist (and Republican) mother is a teacher and she basically puts no effort into teaching the boys. She says the boys will be troublemakers anyway so she prioritizes the girls.
