Sounds like my ex fiancé. Needed to “make sure I was the one”. How, you ask? By becoming a stripper, getting pregnant by a married dude, getting an abortion, meeting another dude while stripping, getting pregnant, then getting married. All of this happened within a couple months. Came crawling back a few years later.

So we had a recruiter (non military) come in one day, they were boasting about how rad they were and did tactical operations, even brought their body armor. So I ask a valid question - what weapons do you carry? Sorry, but if I have to wear a plate carrier and ballistic helmet I better have a fucking weapon. HOLY FUCK, you'd have thought I just threw a frag. My instructor pulled me aside after and ripped me a new one, then he tells me I'm "too right wing". Apparently I am literally Hitler.

I don't have muscular dystrophy, so I can't completely relate - but I'll tell you how I deal with mine. I was in a motorcycle accident, shattered my pelvis along with a bunch of other injuries. Doctors told me I would never walk correctly, let alone run. Keep supportive people around you and don't give up. I work as a critical care paramedic and bike 30+ miles on my days off - show the haters they can all fuck off and prove them wrong. The people that have that 'boo hoo hand me everything' attit…
