Do You Think This Woman Was In The Wrong?Yeah if anything it sounds like the guy is more successful than usual, he’s obviously not desperate and has options. And I’m sure he’s super attractive given her swipe rate. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 20/04/23 02:44 AM
CMV: Men see younger men as other men, where women see younger women as little children. This is at the core of many disagreements on PPD.You seriously think they say those things because of what women said online and not because they know young women are typically not attracted to much older men and are saying anything they can to try to talk them into it? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 08/04/23 12:36 AM
Why some women struggle to keep a relationship going?I have a few friends who have had a lot of relationships, I don’t think there’s a simple explanation for it. Sometimes it’s that they get into relationships based on physical attraction but find their personalities are incompatible long term, sometimes they get bored in relationships easily and want NRE again. Maybe they don’t want kids and the people they date do, or they get FOMO and are always convinced there’s someone better for them. Sometimes there is no reason and they’ve just had bad luc… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 05/04/23 03:11 AM
Men and women aren’t that differentI don’t think women or men are any more logical than the other. All of us like to think we are completely logical but most people’s beliefs are based on emotions, especially here. It just manifests in different ways. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 05/02/23 10:31 PM
Men and women aren’t that differentI don’t think the dick pic thing is misunderstanding what women actually want, it’s the guys getting some weird pleasure from it. Most guys who do it have sent a ton of them and I’d be surprised if it’s ever worked once for most of them so they figure that out pretty quickly but stillt do it. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 05/02/23 10:25 PM
Friendship dynamic between men and womenWhat about childhood friends? In my experience and from what I’ve seen those have the least chance of developing feelings on either side or having attractiveness play a role at all. Probably because it captures some of that imprinting that makes us sexually repulsed by our family even if they are physically attractive. Another reason your friendships might depend on attraction is because they might assume you want more than friendship if you just met them. Because that is usually the case when g… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 21/01/23 09:29 PM
Are men and women biologically incompatible for long term relationships? It just depends on the couple, I don’t really think things will change that much. We will still probably have lifelong partners despite the fact it wasn’t the norm in the past. It just has to be a good enough relationship to outweigh the excitement we feel for new relationships, but finding someone you’re that compatible with is a lot rarer than just finding a partner. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 25/12/22 01:22 AM
Are men and women biologically incompatible for long term relationships?I think biologically it seems serial monogamy is what humans are designed for. As in getting in long term relationships, but not lifelong ones. Having multiple partners seemed to be somewhat common but most get into exclusive relationships eventually. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 24/12/22 10:17 PM
Q4Women: Have you ever lost attraction to an ex and then regain it?I think it depends, if it was ended for a reason then the attraction doesn’t tend to come back. Where if it was more of a situationship type thing where you potentially could work really well together but never had the chance to find out it can easily come back in my experience. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/12/22 05:57 PM
Sex isn't worth itI think it’s somewhat common for first-timers to feel this way, people build it up to some life changing thing and then when they have it it’s underwhelming. Sex by itself isn’t really special, sometimes it’s just a fun thing to do with someone you’re attracted to. It can be magical when it’s with someone you have a deep connection with, but that’s a lot harder to find than just someone to have sex with. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 15/12/22 06:45 AM
Sexless marriage is a form of abuse.I mean if they’re only doing it to mess with their head then yeah that’s abuse, but I don’t think that’s the reason most of the time. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 13/12/22 10:40 PM
As a leftist man, I believe that men are better off not pursuing progressive/feminist/leftist women for long-term relationships.I am an alt-right Nazi Trump supporter and here’s why Jewish feminist high-n women make the best partners. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 02/12/22 01:14 AM
Women tell men to stick to their league, but women are attracted to one type of men - those out of their leaguePlus the okcupid thing isn’t even a study, just the guy analyzing his data. Meaning they probably didn’t control for things like picture/profile quality and user demographics and whether the users are an accurate sample of the population. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 01/12/22 04:17 PM
Can Sexual/ Physical Attraction be Developed Over Time?I guess it’s closer than gorillas where it actually is the most dominant with all the females but chimps are still very different than humans. Chimps are more promiscuous and far less selective than humans. The females usually will mate with every male in the group and it’s up to the males to mate guard to ensure paternity. The rate at which females reject advances is only slightly more than males do interestingly. But idk how much you can learn from these species given how different we are. Mon… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/11/22 05:58 PM
Women's perceived extreme selectivity does not track with realityYeah maybe they did a while ago. I would think they want that secret, they probably make the vast majority of their money from men who would be less likely to use it if they knew that there’s way more men. And I’m sure it’s hard for tinder to figure out who’s a bot also. I imagine it’s pretty easy to figure it out without any numbers from tinder, just make fake profiles and swipe through every single person and count it up. And just do that in different places to get a representative sample. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 07/11/22 08:03 PM
Women's perceived extreme selectivity does not track with realityHas tinder ever actually released those numbers themselves? I don’t know why they would ever do that. The ones I’ve seen were 3rd parties trying to figure it out. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 07/11/22 07:18 PM
Can we talk about Responsive vs Spontaneous sexual desires, and how it affects long term relationships, and casual sex?One is associated with the other, but that doesn’t make them the same thing. Going to college is associated with making more money, but there are rich people who never went and poor people who did. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 03/11/22 08:01 PM
As a woman, I think gender roles are naturalMatriarchies might not have survived but the vast majority of patriarchies didn’t survive either. Trying to talk about prehistoric social structures is probably going to have to involve some degree of pseudoscience because obviously there is very little information available. I don’t think studying a few holdouts that tend to be concentrated in specific geographic regions tell us much about what happened tens of thousands of years ago. The truth is probably that societies were neither completely… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 03/11/22 04:06 PM
Can we talk about Responsive vs Spontaneous sexual desires, and how it affects long term relationships, and casual sex?I think sex drive itself is different from the spontaneous vs responsive thing. You can have a low spontaneous sex drive, like you could only want sex once every few months but when it does happen it’s spontaneous. You could also have a high sex drive but still need foreplay or escalation or whatever to enjoy it. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 02/11/22 07:02 PM
CMV: Height matters A LOT to womenI mean for OLD and speed dating (and probably bars/clubs/parties to some extent) you don’t know anything about them so physical traits become a lot more important. You’re choosing people before you have the chance to develop some sort of chemistry with them. I’m sure if there was an attractiveness filter a lot of guys would set it and guys usually want the most attractive women in the room, but that doesn’t mean only attractive women get into relationships. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 27/10/22 08:43 PM
Why men send unsolicited pictures so easily?I’m not sure if it’s that, the guys who do it probably have sent hundreds and I’d be surprised if it ever worked, so they know that women don’t get attracted based on them. If they ended up sleeping with them it’s because they were already attracted enough that they still want to after. I think it’s just them being horny and wanting to share it, combined with some desperation of not having anyone else to do it with. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 26/10/22 05:01 PM
"Men only notice attractive women". Is this really true?Yeah if we’re just talking about actively noticing people you don’t know then of course it depends on whether they catch your attention, which being attractive is part of. Like I notice attractive men too, doesn’t mean I’m attracted to them. And most women probably notice attractive women too. If our brains were designed to actively notice everything around us we would just be overwhelmed all the time. I think this does happen with autism and ADHD actually. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 21/10/22 11:12 PM
Daily Community Chat MegathreadThe pillosphere lingo is spreading. Was studying in my university’s Starbucks earlier and there were a couple of girls sitting at the table next to me, one of them called another guy studying there a chad. Then had to explain to her friend what that means. She was wearing a sorority sweatshirt too which made it even more hilarious. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 19/10/22 09:13 PM

According to a study, the best strategy for struggling male chimpanzees looking to mate was to befriend high ranking alpha males as well as to form large networks with other males. Notice how they didn't need to befriend female chimps. In my opinion, we should give this advice to struggling men.Only the big yellow chad bananas get picked and get the chance to spread their seeds. But the other 80% of incel banana plants are left to die. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 13/10/22 08:24 PM
Is simping really that big of a problem? Then she still had to have been popular enough for all those guys to know her, which of course not everyone is. Also there are probably more social consequences for to doing it if it’s people you actually know vs just a bunch of strangers. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 10/10/22 06:56 PM
Most of the time, the truth is somewhere in the middleThe truth about complex human behavior is pretty much impossible to determine I think. Arguably there is no truth given how much variation there is also. The best you can really do is identify trends, but that kind of stretches the definition of “truth” at that point. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 10/10/22 06:48 PM
What advantages does men have in the dating game?I agree but to get anywhere close to the benefit an attractive woman has as a man you have to be like model-tier. It depends on it you’re ambitious I’d say, like the most attractive men still can’t get all their stuff paid for. But they will be taken seriously in a way attractive women won’t usually be. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 08/10/22 03:19 AM
CMV: Women are initially attracted to more than just a small handful of menI would say that only 1-2% are almost universally attractive, but individual women probably find a lot more attractive than that. It’s kind of a meme that women find the guys their friends are interested in unattractive so there’s definitely a lot of variation. Which means that a guy has to be very attractive for pretty much everyone to agree that they are. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 06/10/22 03:12 PM
Women often use safety as an excuse to make unnecessarily rude comments to men even when it’s not an obvious concernI don’t think that’s equivalent, it would be more like if women do what you described in the post to black men only. Also in the race analogy people would avoid them or treat them rudely in general, while women typically only do that to men who initiate contact with them first, not every man she sees. Plus there’s a lot more historical precedent for black people being treated badly because of skin color than men being treated badly for their gender. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 03/10/22 07:36 PM
Women are dishonest about what they are attracted to in menI assume they account for that and this is “relationships where both partners work”. And the amount of people who live off inheritance is small enough to have a negligible impact on the numbers anyway I think. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 03/10/22 05:03 PM
Women are far crueler to men than vice versa, especially regarding looksWell I’ve never heard a woman describe someone as “dominant” and the message conveniently had a bunch of compliments for him as well. Like I’ve been in majority female friend groups before, while they do talk about hot guys they don’t really talk about guys they’re not interested in unless they were being creepy or something. Also the whole story about them being angry about the guys making a group chat but then one of them shows or tells him about messages that are saying he’s ugly for some rea… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 28/09/22 05:22 PM
How ''matched'' are most couples?I don’t think it’s that women care about looks more now, just the ones that do care are more comfortable expressing it. Like I don’t think we’ll ever get to a point where men are 100% chosen based on looks, there will always be women who decide mostly based on that and women where other things are way more important. Where in the past women who want to date hot guys were pressured not to and to do whatever made sense in that society. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 26/09/22 05:21 AM
Women are attracted to forms of power. Kindness is an afterthoughtI’m sure it’s true to some extent but it’s really reductionist to boil it down to just that. I mean you don’t see women going crazy for Biden. And saying it’s all women is too. I’ve met women where that is the most important thing and some who don’t care at all. Plus a lot of women are ambitious and want power themselves, those people usually want relationships with someone more grounded so they have somewhere to get away to. It reminds me of those people who say that women only care about statu… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 22/09/22 02:10 AM
Men can’t complain that women find them ugly when women spend so much time and money trying to appeal to menIt’s not that deep, women have cared about their appearance long before OLD and social media came along. | – | “Why are men in Crisis?” discussed on Bill MaherWhat do you mean it’s gone on for all of history? If we’re picturing men overthrowing the government so they can keep women as sex slaves or something that’s never happened at any point in history. If we’re talking about rigid gender roles and women being subservient, that was mainly due to religious and cultural reasons, not because it’s the natural order. | 1 | as hard as it might be, men have to make all the efforts if they want to be in a relationship.Depends on age, at birth like 51% are male, at 85 40% are. Also depends on location, there are more single women in NYC and less in LA | /r/PurplePillDebate | 31/08/22 05:12 PM
as hard as it might be, men have to make all the efforts if they want to be in a relationship.I wouldn’t say way more or that it’s significant enough to make a noticeable difference in gender dynamics, if you pair one to one it’s only like 1 out of every 33 men who won’t be able to find anyone. And there are more gay men than gay women so it probably evens out anyway. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 31/08/22 04:57 PM

You really don’t need to be a billionaire who looks like a model to be happy, chasing that is not going to make you fulfilled. I’ll also say that you can be high value in different ways, there isn’t a single value metric. Statistically most people are better than most others at something. | 2 | Attractive men are really rareI agree that men aren’t inherently uglier, but I would argue that it’s because male looks are less “valuable” than female looks. Because women consider non-looks attributes more than men, the looks slice of the attraction pie is smaller. So to reach the point at which enough of the pie is filled in to start to have an effect on people (people start to actively take notice, do double takes, etc), men have to fill in a larger percentage of the smaller slice. If we’re just talking about strangers i… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 20/08/22 11:00 PM |
The importance of male look shouldn’t be a topic of controversy.Hunter gatherer times were a little different, people lived in communal tribes with extended family and such, everyone pitched in to provide for everyone else. The nuclear family with one man providing everything is a relatively new concept. If it were just nuclear families out in the wild for all of human history sex outside marriage would probably be very rare, and we would be a lot less social of a species. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 15/08/22 10:57 PM
The importance of male look shouldn’t be a topic of controversy.Romans had gay sex also, it was just viewed more in terms of power dynamics than romanticism. As in you were only gay if you were the bottom (I think the Greeks had this also to a lesser extent). Or feminine would probably be a better word for it, they didn’t really have the concepts of homo or heterosexuality. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 15/08/22 08:51 PM
Women don’t want “cute”.The way it sounds to me in the post is that it was used in an endearing way. Like him trying to make conversation was cute, not necessarily anything about appearance. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 14/08/22 02:44 AM
| – | Daily Community Chat MegathreadWarning to those who choose their partners based on looks, this is what happens to your species when you do that too much. These birds choose basically only on genetics, and it has gotten so out of hand that the males spend all of their time grooming themselves and the females do all the work raising the young and gathering resources and such. Let this be a cautionary tale for us all. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 13/08/22 11:08 PM |
A big part of why sex is less important to women is that sex is one of the few ways that a man can get affirmation of his attractivenessI thought progesterone was the one that decreased sex drive and estrogen increased it? It seems both testosterone and estrogen play a role in female sex drive, increasing testosterone and not estrogen actually seems to lower it. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 13/08/22 10:21 PM
Not one man, of any caliber, would reject an attractive woman because she was “socially awkward” or any number of other frivolous reasons. This is often mistakenly attributed to differences in selection criteria, but ultimately signifies women’s privilege and abundance.Pretty much everyone gets ghosted at least once. I’ve heard of attractive women who were completely normal getting ghosted on the apps. It’s just something people do. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 10/08/22 05:32 AM
Women really dislike autistic menDo they though? I haven’t known many but the ones I have tend to end up with people similar to themselves. A shy introverted person is going to be exhausted by an exciting extroverted partner most of the time. And vice versa, an outgoing popular guy is probably not going to want to end up with a shy introverted girl. In general most people have stronger connections with people they relate to on some level. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/08/22 08:47 PM

Why this misconception that less attractive men will treat women better?I have seen both, it depends on the guys personality, like how insecure or nice they are. It’s the same as the “are hot people nicer” debate I think, if they’re nice they are treated good by people so they will be even more nice, if they’re mean they will be more mean because they know they can get away with it. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 24/07/22 11:23 PM

Less attractive women don’t date more attractive menThere’s research saying both similar and different. I think we prefer people who are vaguely similar, but not close enough to potentially be related. Could also be the fact that people prefer partners who look like their parent of the gender they are attracted to according to other studies. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 19/07/22 02:37 AM
Men are way hornier than women, and this is the cause of everything being discussed here. The fact that this is even disputed is proof that women are unable to have an honest discussion about dating and gender relations.Testosterone definitely plays a huge role in libido, but it’s not the only thing. Estrogen has also been associated with sex drive (progesterone is what lowers it). Also women are going to be more sensitive to testosterone even if we go off that only. Like women with super high sex drives (like higher then the average man) probably have higher testosterone than other women, but it’s still far less than the average man. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 15/07/22 12:00 AM

But idk how he got those numbers, everyone has some combination of masculine and feminine traits. Similar to the extra/introvert thing, we are way too complex to separate into 2 categories. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 03/06/22 01:08 AM |
Guys, why are you so easily influenced by sex?I mean he probably had the most famous cheating scandal in the last couple decades. And tiger woods isn’t exactly seen as a sex symbol lol. It’s just basic logic that the more of something you can get = less desperate you are for it. In my life at least the guys I’ve known who get sex easily are not really manipulated by it and don’t act like you’re describing. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/05/22 09:37 PM
casual heterosexual sex is most likely to be a negative experience for women who want to be happyNot sure if you’re talking about the study but it did include FWB as well as ONS. In fact it included just making out with someone as well. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 27/05/22 01:20 AM
Being "fwb zoned" is much better than the commonly stated equivalent of being friend-zonedI don’t think it’s male sexuality even, it just sucks to be intimate with someone who doesn’t feel the same way. I’ve seen men be heartbroken over it, and most of the women I know who have casual sex have had people fall in love when they didn’t want a relationship, even when being upfront about it. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 13/05/22 11:48 PM
Women approaching makes a lot more sense in contemporary societyI’ve definitely seen hot women approach, mostly when the guy is also really attractive and they’re tired of waiting for him to do something or want to get to them before someone else does. Some also just have more forward personalities. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 12/05/22 04:36 PM
How could OLD be improved? They already do keep attractiveness ratings of people, mostly based on how many people swipe on you I think. They use them differently I think, like tinder will show more people closer to you while bumble just gives everyone the most attractive first (or used to at least). But they all sprinkle in the top profiles for everyone, at whatever interval they found keeps people’s hopes up the most ok their algorithm | /r/PurplePillDebate | 11/05/22 12:40 AM
How could OLD be improved?Maybe they could only show people with similar attractiveness? I imagine they have a pretty good idea from swipe percentages and possibly facial recognition. Though I guess seeing hot people is probably a big driver for the apps so maybe they can’t do that | /r/PurplePillDebate | 10/05/22 08:07 PM
The main dating problem for women is that they want commitment and relationships from guys who can enjoy the fullest extent of their company without committingYeah I knew someone similar, legit model who was tall and really smart. Found one girl he really liked and just stayed with her for most of college. It might even be more likely, if they can have casual sex easily they’re more likely to have realized that it’s not fulfilling for most people and doesn’t help the desire for companionship. Like with modes or celebrities or whatever most of them get into relationships even though they could sleep around easily if they wanted to. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 05/05/22 07:45 PM
What happens when a married woman goes on tinder?I mean I’m sure most of the matches were at her level too | /r/PurplePillDebate | 05/05/22 12:56 AM
Do bisexual men have a difficult time with women because of their orientation? Would you date a bisexual man? If not, why? Some women do enjoy casual sex and have high sex drives, would they be undatable? What about a very attractive straight man who could get sex easily? At some point you just have to trust them. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 03/05/22 10:52 PM
