Most therapists actually provide free therapy to some of their clients if they're unable to afford a sliding scale. It requires a bit more legwork, though. If by "legwork," what I mean is "emailing local therapists that you can easily find online." It'd be nice if it were free for everyone. But it's at least free for many/most who can't afford it, if you reach out and ask. And that's assuming you can't afford a sliding scale, which most clinics provide for those with low income.

Go to PsychologyToday (or whatever the best Therapist Locator platform is), find some therapists. You'll find their email. Email them and tell them your financial situation. Many if not most Therapists actually dedicate a proportion of their clients to free visits. Exactly for the reason that many people can't afford it. Exactly. Reality isn't black and white. Stuff like Journaling or talking to yourself is healthier than not doing so (don't take my word on that--look up the mental health benefits of those things). Nobody does anything because most people in power agree with him, because you aren't likely to have that attitude unless you're religious, and most people are religious, especially in the US. What needs to change is the minds of everyone so that the judge CAN be persecuted. How do you do this? You normalize sex culture and decay the tradition of saving sex until marriage.
