This is insane. NZ police are already overworked. Why would they waste time on a silly misunderstanding like this instead of investigating the actual real abuse or other crime that goes on? This should have been thrown out by the first judge before it went to court. This makes me angry because I know of families where abuse is actually happening, there are actual complainants, and the courts are too busy for timely action.

And I saw another video (with the same family I think) where she said she had just gone home with her husband for one hour to sleep - and it was done then. Don't mutilate sick little babies!

Poor baby :( Whatever requires intensive care AND NOW having sore genitalia more prone to diaper irritation :(

He may share a similar view and may not have considered a more personal donor. I can understand not wanting a stranger's sperm, as you don't really know what genetic faults are in their line. I can understand not wanting to use in-vitro at all, because it is a costly and difficult process. And I can understand wanting to adopt because that is giving a child a wanted home.

I also have a biological interest in the genetic material of relatives surviving since they share much of it with me. Maybe they could get a sperm donor from within the family then? Maybe a bit awkward to ask, but could be worthwhile :)

NSFW warning for the ads on the page? I ended up with a "Facebook of Sex" ad, complete with naked young women (showing everything) and gyrating buttocks. And I've never been to a site like that.

It's so weird that parents care what their child's genitals look like (beyond health). Why not nose jobs for everyone too?

I don't know why she wanted her son circumcised in the first place then :(

I was really mad that the system was so 'wacked' at this hospital-- that I needed to do something special NOT to have surgery on my son; that I was bugged by people who worked there to have it done; that my message hadn't gotten anywhere. That's completely terrible :( Where's the respect?

I'm not sure if you can contract out of the de-facto property splitting, but you can contract out of the marriage one with a pre-nup. Hopefully you get to know your partner well enough before de facto or spouse status to find out if they are compatible for life. And hopefully you are both willing to communicate and work through any problems. If you're only going to end up with half a house, that's a pretty good incentive to sort things out if you can.

Men ARE good :) But there's no reason for marriage to stop them becoming a race car driver, astronaut, or anything else cool. Did they do the work required to get into that profession?

Explanations by downvoters would be appreciated. Thanks.

2X here. What does my husband get out of marriage? Love and commitment. I'm never going to leave or cheat on him. This is what I get in return. What did we sacrifice for marriage? Both of us gave up the opportunity to date other people. That's the only sacrifice. It's a partnership. Both of us work hard to please the other. In my country (New Zealand), de facto couples are treated the same as married couples if the relationship ends. If you live together for two years, each person is automatical…

It's completely disgusting :( Something that uneven cannot be a "relationship" sexually. As a teacher, you have a responsibility to nurture your pupils' growth. If they are attracted to you and make untoward moves, it is your job to shoot them down. It is not your job to seduce students!

Here is some sympathy for you *hug* I am a woman, and I wouldn't feel threatened by your behaviour if I had kids. I'm sorry that people around you are so unreasonable. Suggestion: Maybe take your girl into a woman's restroom instead next time? At least in my experience (across the other side of the world), women's restrooms are cleaner and nicer, and not a strange place to have kids. I have no experience though, just saying :) You sound like a great dad. Good luck making friends :)

Not having multiple sexual partners prevents HPV, since it's a sexually transmitted infection. Also, correlation is not necessarily evidence of causation. Perhaps the circumcised men and their partners were more faithful than the uncircumsised group.

Or, you know, make sure she gets home safely and unmolested? If I was on a date with someone, I wouldn't want them to drink to incapacitation.

I am sorry you had such an abusive relationship. It's really good that you have taken yourself and two of your boys out of that situation. I grew up as one of two teenagers with a single parent after my dad's death. Our family travelled around using public transport - buses and trains. Is this a valid option for your family? Public transport is a lot cheaper than owning a car and forces you to be more active. Being more active also helps combat depression. Can you get the child support re-evalua…

I'd pass on Prince Harry. Prince William is much better. Too bad he already has a claim staked on him :D
