Not every situation is the same, dude. Simple common sense says that if an person is put into a situation where they can't get to their means of protection, than said protection is absolutely useless. 6	Female With Attitude Gets Glass Shattered By Police For Refusing To Lower Windows If this is indeed the law in some areas, it seems rather silly, if an officer does not feel safe putting his hands in an unknown vehicle with an unknown person, he should absolutely have the authority to require that you either role down your window all the way or to step out of the car. It would avoid endangering both parties by muddying the interaction with misunderstandings that could lead to one of said parties being hurt or even killed. At least that's how I see it.
