That's some next level self circle jerking you're in my guy. Hope it gets you far in life.

HAHAHAHA WAIT Did you just try and twist that back on me whilst presenting 0 evidence, nor citing 0 evidence why my data is false? My guy, arguments are backed up by evidence produced by other people. It makes your argument stronger. Invest some time into learning how to do this. Something isn't wrong simply because -you- say it is.

Nah mang, downvote low quality posts that are objectively bad, not because you disagree with them. There's such thing as an opposing view that you don't like that is still presented well. Remember how you said: Dissenting opinions are discussed, not deplatformed. They are examined and judged as either having merit or not. That's far from a circle jerk. You're literally proving my point. You're not discussing what I'm saying, you're literally denying anything I say with 0 evidence and attempting …

I love that you're consistently downvoting every single comment of mine still simply because we disagree 😂 But yeah nah man I've provided an anecdote and you discredited that stating it's not data. So I provided hard statistics/data and you discredit that saying that men still suffer more based on literally 0 evidence other than your own speculation. So I countered with my own speculation to be like, aight maybe the numbers are wrong and what other factors could be at play? Then you're literally…

Indeed, stats aren't real. It's all about the narrative.

Yeah but my guy it can be estimated with varying degrees of accuracy. And based on the overall size of MGTOW and red pill based subreddits in comparison to the size of reddit as a whole, it's not going to be the 10% jump in statistics you're looking for. See, there's one of two ways you can look at statistics. You can either accept them for what they are based on their merits like you stated before. Or you can keep not believing them and continue digging yourself into a hole of self-victimizatio…

The ABS table actually considers that. You'll notice an asterisk next to the male stats stating there's between 25 and 50% uncertainty in the standard deviation meaning for the violence from cohabiting partner it could be anywhere from 0.3% to 0.9%. If we ignore shame and say twice the amount of men come out as a result of not feeling shame (which statistically is pretty fucking generous), and say only 1/4rd of women come out because they don't feel shame (and believe me, women feel shame just l…

Going back to that emphasis on data you made earlier, and the lack of data you presented when I asked you: https://www.abs.gov.au/statistics/people/crime-and-justice/focus-crime-and-justice-statistics/latest-release I create this table from Tables 1 and 2 for your consideration: Type of Violence Women with Disability Women Without Disability Men With Disability Men Without Disability Violence by cohabiting partner 2.5% 1.3% 1.1% 0.6% Emotional abuse by cohabiting partner 6.3% 4.1% 4.7% 3.8% Now …

Got some of that all important data you preached about for me? Btw forgot to address my favourite part - are you not a circlejerk because you said you're not? If you have so much outside perspective how come you're getting so mad when outsiders come in and ask questions? I also didn't really mind that you flipped the genders - abuse from anyone to anyone is disgusting and must be addressed as the domestic violence that it is lol, which is kind of what I was getting at with my anecdote you disreg…

I do imagine that women are part of some people, and guess what, being toxic towards women is misogynistic ;) You're a clever man and yo intellect far exceeds mine clearly, so I shall leave this here Cheerio

It's not some women. It's some -people-. I don't find it hard to believe that some people are pieces of shit. Guess your assumption was wrong my guy ;) I mean, you assumed it'd be impossible to have a relationship with me, I was just giving you info. I could think that what is going on here is not my business, and it isn't! You chose to respond to my post, so you engaged with me. I just made a post on a public forum asking questions. Well congratulations. I'm happy for you! I'm not assuming nobody can be in a happy relationship lmao, I believe that. I'm questioning the belief in this subreddit for -some- that it is impossible to be in a happy relationship with a female. What snotty remark would I make about your relationship? Lol Probably is impossible, but you'd have to ask my partner for their opinion. I actually don't have an answer for you, I trust in the justice system of Australia (I'm aware America is fucked lol). You don't communicate that your money isn't going to be spent on her. It's about having an equal contribution. At least until you get to the stage where you marry and have kids, and sacrifices are made and the other partner picks up the slack. If the person you're dating isn't happy to split things 50/50 from the get go, it makes it pretty apparent they're looking for an unequal partnership And it's not so much that your contribution is spent on her, it's spent on yourself with somebody else to …

Yeah, you still haven't answered the second part. If communication and a lack of willingness of compromise are not present, problems will present which lead to more problems leading to unhappiness. Honestly if you're sinking immense amounts of money into a relationship, regardless of the length of the relationship, that's kind of on you. Especially if it's early days you're setting a very unhealthy precedent

Could there be an argument made that the resource is actually communication, and as time goes on communication degrades, leading to unsolved problems which create more problems?

Seems like a close minded opinion. Do you mean to imply that everybody, except those here, are incapable of telling the truth? What about the couples currently together, that have been for some time now, and don't have kids?

I probably wouldn't say that - if they're young it's likely they have a dreamy idealised image of love. We all have the same thing for one aspect of life or another

To me if a woman says "If you love me, you'll marry me to show you trust me", it's a pretty big sign she's not as mature as you might think she is. This probably calls for a mature conversation communicating that you disagree and the two of you need to either align your ideas on marriage or split up. My partner and I are pretty well across the idea that we're two independent adults with equal standing in this relationship and the only thing that'd complicate that is kids, in which case marriage …

Exactly. I thought this sub was about positively making your own way in life. Seems though that the 39,000 of this sub think their exceptional life experiences break the rule that 3.65 billion people on average aren't decent people. Das some toxic ass shit.

My current direct boss is a female. She's a lovely, creative lady who suits the role perfectly and has been totally flexible to everything life has thrown at me. Not detracting from OP's personal problem post, but the toxicity of thinking the ideal team has no females is pretty sexist and breaches rule 1 I'd think??

I mean, regardless of gender it'd be pretty upsetting to hear my S.O. openly state I'm less than a 10. I know I have flaws, but my S.O. is always the one to bring me up and support me, and I do the same to them

Telling them to read your post. Few days ago I was commenting on another post where it appeared OP was down-talking women's problems to promote our issues, and Lethn had a strong opinion against me

Yeah, it's a bit weird but if they've communicated about it and he says he's fine with it, what's the issue?
/r/MensRights24/08/20 09:57 AM

Compounding off this, I spoke with my fellow female and male engineering students and most agreed with our side. It's a little bit of open mindedness but it's unfortunate some people translate that as being a 'self-righteous moralising virtue signalling douchebag' whatever that means. Open minded communication and understanding of each other's problems is how we improve everybody's experience :) I suppose it's too far to want equal rights for everybody, regardless of gender

ok E: Have you considered I asked for your personal experience so I can understand your position and your argument a lil better? Probably easier to call me a cunt and outright refuse anything I'm trying to talk about

You didn't mention that issue in your last comment and I incidentally looked past it. I'm not fear mongering by making up bullshit to make women scared of going outside. I've asked female friends about their experiences and that's what they've told me, and I relayed it to you I asked you in PM what your personal experience was which makes you feel so strongly about the matter as I don't understand the viewpoint you're coming from, you mentioned you want it public so please, feel free to share he…

I disagree, and feel the post has downplayed their experience, but we've covered that so let's just settle that we disagree with each other, which is fine. I don't claim to be a good person for anything I've said I wish you a wonderful day mate

Pointing out disregard for another person's experience is treating you like shit? Right How tf do you teach somebody to be afraid of something by acknowledging how they feel about something. By refusing to acknowledge somebody's experience you make them either more aggressive or more paranoid. Isn't the point of this post to acknowledge and increase awareness of a male's experience in society as well? Do you call yourself a men's right activist because you spew out your thoughts and opinions wit…

When have I treated you or others like shit? I agree with the motion that we experience increased rates of violence, among other things. Rape or grabbing a titty without consent is still sexual assault, I'm not sure how you call that "other behaviour" or shifting the goal posts. I don't feel like I've downplayed our experiences at all. I've agreed with you when you mention things that we go through. If you have women get hostile or paranoid around you, it's a reflection of their personal experie…

That's fair enough that you disagree. I don't think it's the fact that every time a female goes outside, they get raped. I think it's their increased vulnerability which is exagerated by things like cat calling and having their bodies unwillingly touched which makes going out at night an uncomfortable experience. I kind of agree but kind of disagree, if one person feels something, sure whatever we shouldn't bend a society to fix it. But if a significant portion of society feels it, it's worth tr…

I'm not trying to fool you at all my dude Almost every female friend of mine I've asked has been sexually assaulted in some manner, it doesn't have to be rape (penetrative sex without consent) to be sexual assault Many of the friends I've asked have been cat called, had their ass/breast grabbed, touched or brushed against and just overall experiences I've never had to face as a male. We do have our share of uncomfortable experiences, yes, but don't be reporting to know it all about a female's ex…

Reactionary to what? I'm a dude, I experience everything he mentioned in his post and I agree with it, except for the downplay of what others experience How did I put words in his mouth, I quoted it twice he literally said "Boogeyman rapists"?? It's so obvious when somebody is jumping into a topic on this sub and they have no fucking clue of what they're on about. Is that because it's a different opinion, you think that?
/r/MensRights23/08/20 03:13 PM

Don't put words in my mouth that aren't there. I want him to promote his feelings in a healthy way that helps us all tackle it, without trying to downplay the experiences of others. I don't demand anything of him, I simply request that we be thoughtful of others. I'm not sure what you want an internet stranger to offer you in return, but I generally wish to bring about a more positive and open approach to everybody's experiences, especially men's experiences as they're often understated
/r/MensRights23/08/20 03:01 PM
-1

It doesn't revolve around women. Not does it evolve around men. I never said that a man not wanting to be viewed with suspicion drags down the experiences of women. I think OP's disregard for the general experience of women and belittling it as some "rapist Boogeyman" drags down the experience of women. We need to work on this together, I don't have hostility for the idea he's trying to present, I dislike the way he seems to downplay feminine experiences to promote his own feelings.
/r/MensRights23/08/20 02:50 PM

I don't think you need to drag down the experiences of women to bring up the experiences of men in these scenarios. If women -feel- endangered in terms of their sexual rights then they have every right to feel that. Feelings are subjective. But just because we feel it too doesn't mean you should demean their feelings on the matter. You can't speak for how they feel, but you can raise the issue that you feel it too. How about we accept that these issues prevail in society to everyone, without bel…

Now, I may have read this wrong, or be interpreting it wrong, but I don't believe just because other men have laid asphalt that all men should be given the gratitude and recognition of the few that did the hard yards. If an individual man had done this, then he deserves that, but because he did the hard work doesn't mean the man next to him deserves the gratitude, just because he's a man. That's what I feel is sexism.
