I would totally put it in some sort of trust where she would have to negotiate with some pencil pusher for every single dollar she wants to take out. The kids I would stick some in a fund that matures after they complete college.

I don’t think that’s a woman.

I have it like that. Her car is in my name. I agreed to let her keep it until she can get it transferred to her self. However I must keep insurance on it as I could be responsible if something bad happens. Im going to push for her to get a co-sign on it so I can save money on the insurance. Per the lawyer if she stops making payments on it I’ll have the right to go and take it from her.

I just called a lawyer in the state I moved from. Same town in fact. He wrote up the divorce agreements and we’re just signing them online and sending them back. Should have the divorce finalized in a matter of weeks. It’s been 6 months with her dragging her feet.

I was like that right after I moved out. Was strong, nice, fair and ready to move on. Once I got where I was moving to, even before I got thru the door that was it. I couldn’t even unload my truck until the next day. It doesn’t get easier with time, but I learned how to adapt to the overwhelming feelings. I sought out a counselor and the release of emotions are normal and healthy. Find somebody you can talk to even if it’s just over the phone.

Some things are hard to just stop. The shirts may have just been a friendly “I thought you might like them” event. It happens with me and my ex still. Not all divorces need to be hard core hate your guts.

Mine truly loves our son, and has been very good about making sure he and I talk every day now that I’m away. (So far)

Just an fyi. You can get you Cdl paid for and get paid while training. Most states have a program and the big carriers have programs. I’m in CDL school right now and I wish I had gone that way. 5.5k out of pocket is tough. But I will be working in a few weeks. The rules changed in Feb. you must take a course to get you license now. Also don’t do it in Texas. It’s too hot.

Similar problem with my x. Tech illiterate, I leave and shit starts breaking down. We’re on good terms so I do what I can from afar but 🤷‍♂️. Exception is my sons stuff I do more.

So for the sake of the child I should be miserable, poor and homeless just so he can know me?

As we don’t own a house and don’t even share banks I didn’t have anything holding me back except my son. We agreed to meet somewhere after I get my job squared away. He family made it clear I’m welcome to stay with one of 3 member when I go to visit. We plan to do the paperwork and share custody of my son.

I plan on getting a local class A job when I get out. I have 7 years as a class B driver and equipment operator (flatbed). Good thing is we don’t own anything together except her car which she has and is paying for. We were living with her parents who didn’t want me to leave. I plan on working on the paperwork but as she made more then me by 20k I won’t be paying support for her. I had to leave for my mental health.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
