Because that's literally not what happened.

Oh, so you're upset it took too long to get sources, not that the sources are bad? Hilarious. Not only are you rude, incapable of reading, and unwilling to educate yourself once resources are provided, it's also pointless to keep talking to you so we're done :)

You're obviously uninterested in having an authentic discussion so the investment isn't worth it in any case. Sea lioning at its finest. 👍

Literally don't care at all, You've done such a bad job defending your points or making any that this conversation is profoundly uninteresting. Unless you have anything of value to add (unlikely!), I'm done here.

People do not seek out abusers over and over, that's just a thing that you're making up in your head.

Nah, this conversation is both super boring and you can't stop lying so I'm done 👍

Well, considering the fact that you seem to be promoting it as pretty normal behavior and also saying that most men are misogynists, you're definitely not normal. Hope this helps!

Unfortunately I don't believe in you so unless you suddenly have anything of value to add to any conversation that's ever happened, I think we're done here ❤️

No, just because some people are misogynists, that doesn't mean even remotely most men are. And you also seem to imply that most men would lie to be in a relationship. You really have a low opinion of men.

Oh my gosh, this is such great information and it sounds like you have really good insight into how you're doing and the progress you're making on a lot of stuff. I just want to say you're doing a great and doing all this is a lot of work. It sounds like you're definitely dealing with an anxiety and serious sleep issue. The behavioral stuff is probably going to help a lot, especially stuff like keeping the same bedtime Even if you're not in the same location, but that can be hard. However, it so…
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/22 03:03 AM

My dude, everyone knows that misogyny is on the rise because misogyny and fascism live hand in hand. Backlash is a normal and expected part of any social movement. However, things just keep moving on.

Of course, your childhood friend is getting married only because he wants to take someone's virginity. Of course, what a normal and not completely deranged thing to do and say. 👍 If it's true, then you both don't belong in society, but it's most likely not so I'm not that worried.

Agreed, I work with children and families and the tax credit is helpful, but cash in hand is of course the most helpful. I would actually say that anyone who is rent burdened could use something similar, and people with disabilities need a massive increase in the support they receive as well. Just plugging holes in the system we have now, because it's definitely leaving the most vulnerable at the most risk and suffering the most consequences.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 06:38 PM

LoL You're just demonstrating over and over again that you don't know what radical feminism is.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 06:10 PM

I think it would definitely increase overall happiness and especially willingness to have kids if you want them if we provided adequate resources to families with children. That's probably the number one thing that I see contributing to women with kids being unhappy - the burdensome costs of housing and child care, even when two or more adults in the household are working.

I wish I could say that I've seen a lot of good effects from ashwagandha but unfortunately it seems to just not be effective for a lot of folks. But if you think it's working and there's no negative side effects, I can't imagine it's hurting. Have you considered a low dose of melatonin? I would definitely prioritize the screen thing, as well as keeping phone, computer, TV away from wherever you sleep. There's some ongoing research that shows even having those in the same space reduces attention,…

Just not a very good joke then
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 05:13 PM
1

No, that's not an appropriate response and I don't know of a single clinician who would see it as so. If someone has been repeatedly victimized, the appropriate response is addressing vulnerabilities that make them the target of abusers. Abuse victims are not drawn to abusers, it's the other way around.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 04:47 PM
1

So now you are expanding it to relationship addiction? I thought you were focused on codependency. And the heart of the issue is that it's not relationship addiction or codependency that drives abuse - It's abusers.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 04:38 PM
1

Considering the fact that there are plenty of studies showing feminists have healthier relationships and more sex, I suppose whatever else you think about it doesn't really matter. And as a radical feminist, I'd much rather date another radical feminist than a libfem, that's for sure, so it looks like we got something in common.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 04:32 PM

I don't want to surprise you but stories about studies aren't actually studies. You don't have any support for your argument.

I am actually up on the research, that's why I referred to the controversy. You may find this helpful to give you a little more context on "behavioral addictions," https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5328289/ And you'll note that codependency is not included for consideration, even under the broader umbrella of compulsive behavioral predictions.

I look forward to you learning how to actually interact with other human beings in the future! Growth is possible and necessary.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 03:27 PM

Yes, that's the claim you made with nothing to back it up, just random lies you've made up.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 03:26 PM

That's not a study, that's a quote about a study. Where is the actual data? Where is the actual study?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 03:25 PM
1

... as someone who has initiated almost every relationship I've ever been in, and every single serious relationship I've ever been in, this is just factually incorrect. And our men incapable of learning? Especially asking questions about women?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 03:24 PM

Yes, both are somehow true, men hate dating feminists and yet feminists get dates very easily.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 03:23 PM

If that's what you got from that post, you clearly have a reading comprehension issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 03:23 PM

Many of those aren't studies, those OKC results are marketing blog posts. I didn't say it's impossible for women to get dates or anything like that, I'm not referring to being able to secure a first date, I'm responding to the fact that he said men don't want to date radical feminists.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 03:22 PM

We might want to consider why women become less happy when they have children or get married, and work on those issues. I think everyone should be able to do what they want and find happiness where they can.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 03:20 PM

The women I know in real life who use dating sites are every age from about 21 to nearly 80, introverted or extroverted, extremely convincially attractive to considerably less than average. Some have kids and somehow grandkids and some have no interest in kids. But generally speaking many of them tend to only be on online dating for short bursts, until you can't handle the outright misogyny any longer. So I'd say a pretty wide range.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 08:06 AM
-1

Ah yes, that old canard "women have it so easy!" In response to another comment telling me men aren't attracted to women like me. It would be hilarious if both of you were anywhere near correct.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 08:01 AM
1

You've made such a bizarre assumption here. I work in child safety, I don't discourage people from having children. In fact, a good portion of my entire life has been dedicated to making sure children are happy and safe.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 07:58 AM
3

There have been attempts at dating sites like this, turns out neither men nor women are really interested in participating. People don't want to waste time talking to people they're not attracted to, regardless of gender.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 07:56 AM
0

All of the behaviors you describe could also easily describe men as well. Turns out both genders have equal opportunity to be scumbags.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 07:43 AM
1

women supposedly only go for top 20% of men It seems like folks on the sub have really gotten this percentage confused, maybe with the pareto principle, or people who constantly use this number are just not realizing that they're inaccurately repeating a marketing blog post from nearly 15 years ago from an online dating site. And that number is about how women rated men's attractiveness, and even if they rated them as less attractive, they were still willing to message them.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 07:37 AM
1

Frankly, it sounds relaxing.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 07:31 AM
3

As a woman who has initiated nearly every relationship I've ever been in, this is already a thing that is happening. I know that reddit seems to believe that no woman has ever asked a man out, but it has been very common in my life that women have approached men, both for a relationships and casual sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 07:29 AM
2

And did that stop people from fornicating? Tell me, what culture was that because I'm sure historians would love to know, because people have been having illicit sexual liaisons in every culture that we're aware of.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 07:27 AM
1

Yes and no, keeping up with the Joneses was definitely a thing long before the advent of social media. Since people have been able to communicate, they've been comparing themselves to others. It's just on a much larger scale now.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 07:23 AM
1

As a radical feminist, finding dates has never been an issue. Finding long-term relationships has never even been a problem, so I think you're just making stuff up because you want it to be true. That also isn't what radical feminism is in any way whatsoever. But if you want to live in a fantasy world, that's not really a debate.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 07:15 AM
2

Then you'll be able to make yourself a lot of beanies.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 07:11 AM
2

Of course, everything has risks like that. It's a little better in large cities, if it blew up in this meet up for example, there's other ones other days and at other locations. And of course there's the classic fiber arts classes and similar, which have been just about 80% women in every city I've ever lived in, in every country I've ever lived in. One of my close friends met her husband at a knitting class - he was the only guy and now he jokes about feeling like the belle of the ball.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 07:05 AM
3

Of course no way is perfect, that's why you have to keep trying until you find something that works. In the city where I live, I'm pretty much all the big dance events have something like 30%+ too many women for gender parity, so men are definitely outnumbered.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 06:27 AM
1

If you think I was invalidating your point, you don't know what invalidation means either.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 06:24 AM

I'm not pushing for it to be a moral panic, the hysteria that currently exists and this level of concern over something very minor is the actual moral panic. And again, you can't make your own arguments so you're relying on someone else to do them for you. You can't even summarize them properly.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 06:21 AM
-1

Now you're literally just making things up.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 03:56 AM
1

As who likes to say? Posting videos isn't debating. Moral panics don't lead to societal collapse, you haven't supported that claim whatsoever.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 03:55 AM
1

I'm definitely not watching a YouTube video some random misogynist links me to. And in terms of things we need to be panicking about, climate collapse is much more imminent than social or cultural collapse, especially if you think it's going to be due to flexible gender norms.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 03:32 AM
0

Well, considering the fact that it's kind of an issue then yeah semantics might be relevant.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 03:31 AM
3

So are bars not in public any longer? And generally speaking, especially on Reddit, it seems that women want to be approached by men who make an effort to get to know them as people, not by strangers who are only interested in their looks. The majority of people still managed to meet in all sorts of places so if that's the nefarious plot, it's not working.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 03:23 AM
1

People are not addicted to abusive relationships. That's just factually incorrect. Behavioral addictions (it's still extremely controversial to even consider many to even exist) are not the same as substance use disorders. It's not something that needs to be considered, what needs to be considered is how to end the cycle of abuse.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 03:21 AM
1

Link me to my comment where I assumed everyone's American? Just because I refer to a specific moral panic, I don't want to surprise you but you can actually generalize and think of other moral panics if you try hard. Society and culture has always evolved. The way we think about things today is not that we will think about them tomorrow and sometimes we don't. Considering the fact that you haven't been able to point to anything in particular other than strange people will exist your argument doe…
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 03:19 AM

But conservatives generally aren't interested in defining male and female, they're obsessed with defining what the word woman means.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 03:01 AM
1

Again, you're being awfully squirrely because you seem desperate to blame the victims of abuse and act as though they are addicted to being abused. That just isn't true.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 03:00 AM
1

A breakdown of all social norms? You mean like the same moral panic that came about with miscegenation? What chaos? What exactly do you think will happen if the gender binary doesn't exist? Even during the times of extremely limited gender expression, we always had people that violated norms.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 02:57 AM
2

But the obsession with defining woman is what's driving this absurdity. There's no need to be so general or so specific. If you want someone to be specific about what a woman actually is, then you're going to get a very specific and detailed answer. If you want a very general answer, then you'll get a lot of caveats. And did something that matters not at all in almost every case.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 02:43 AM

Yes of course, this is all part of our plot. We all got together and decided that match group should make billions, that online dating should be miserable for everyone involved. Good point.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 02:41 AM

Yes of course, the only two options. Learn about women from bots on tinder or read romance novels. I can't think of another way to learn about what women might like or be interested in. Not a single one.

If I had a nickel for every time I've seen weirdos on Reddit misinterpret a marketing post from an online dating site from nearly 15 years ago I'd have...well, quite a lot of nickels. They also love to refer to it as a study. And they absolutely hate to mention that even if women rated them as less attractive, they'd still message or respond to messages.

My physical therapist says there's never been a single guy join her swing dance class/group that hasn't left with a girlfriend by the end of the season. They welcome beginners and always need more guys to even out the numbers. But almost every time I've suggested guys join, they always complain that dancing is too girly (?!) or they don't want to start something they don't know how to do already. It's not perfect for everyone (I'm dyspraxic for example), but it works for a lot of people. I'd say…

It's weird that no one really seems to ask why match group never really releases any user data. If it was in their favor, they'd be touting it everywhere.

I genuinely can't even estimate how many guys have been truly angry or resentful that they don't get matches on OLD and then I see their profiles and they're truly just the laziest garbage ever and they've been using it for like 3 years. We're talking unflattering selfies, meme jokes, not so subtle misogyny, self-deprecating jokes (that aren't actually funny or lighthearted), or snide little comments about never getting matches. Just...wild. They're invested enough to be completely pissed off bu…
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 02:28 AM

Since match group started buying up everything, they've basically become a black box. It's almost impossible to get any data out because their entire business model is based on making money, not connections.

Where are you getting those numbers from? I know it varies pretty dramatically from country to country but the UK put out numbers just two years ago Over a fifth of 25- to 34-year-olds met their partner online – 13% through dating apps and 9% websites such as OKCupid or Guardian Soulmates. Dating websites are most popular with people who are slightly older. One in nine 40- to 44-year-olds (11%) met their partner on a website, while apps are somewhat more unusual at 7%. That's still a pretty smal…

But does that mean she's not a woman? What about people with other intersex conditions?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/22 02:12 AM

That's a complaint that both men and women make, it's just generally good advice that you should put in about as much effort as the other person does. Over long-term relationships, it can ebb and flow, but especially in the beginning, no one should be putting themselves out for something that is unclear.

You are reaching as hard as you possibly can to conflate abuse with codependency (they aren't necessarily), and codependency with substance abuse. You are absolutely desperate to blame victims, but those arguments are insufficient. You're literally just bringing in almost unrelated topics because you want victims to bear responsibility for being abused.

Talk to any dermatologist worth their salt (especially the ones that don't sell skincare). The primary things that matter are sunscreen, good genetics, and getting enough sleep. Anything beyond that is such a tiny improvement or neutral that it's almost not worth considering for most people. Mostly you just need to use a gentle cleanser unless you've got some complex stuff going on with your skin. If you have eczema or rosacea or something like that, niacinamide might help, but most people have …

This is an incredibly lengthy comment for something that's very simple on its face - You believe false accusations are common, I believe, based on data, that they are actually very rare. What are you basing yours on? Anecdote? There are actually fairly valid ways of determining how underreported things might be, of course there's a large margin of error but we can also measure trends and we've gotten awfully smart about extrapolating from limited data. Pretending like there could be a secret sco…

Men do expose their half-naked bodies in public places all the time. I grew up in a city where it gets very warm. It is not unusual to see topless men in shorts at parks, even just hanging out. People just dress however they feel comfortable. If people are uncomfortable because other people are wearing something that they enjoy but still covers anything that might get them arrested, then maybe you should investigate why you care so much about what other people look like and wear.

So yes, It would be far more complicated than your statement implies, if you take this study to be reflective of reality, I can't say that it is and haven't seen the whole thing. Even if people have an interest in something, which is how they're defining a paraphilia (yikes! Definitely not something a lot of researchers would agree on), that doesn't mean women are acting on it, just that they have an interest in it. And S&M obviously is not BDSM.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/22 07:59 AM

Do you know what an evolutionary Just So story is? In this case, you're just making up something that sounds like a lovely story to you but it has no basis in fact, it's essentially how early scientists worked before we discovered the scientific method. If something can't be tested and replicated, it's essentially meaningless. It's not reasonable at all to make that conclusion. That's not how science works.

Did you link to the wrong study or were you intending to link to a study regarding paraphilic interests and behavior? Participation in BDSM is not generally defined as a paraphilia, in this clinical context it likely means the most common things that lead to paraphiliac disorder (as in, something that harms yourself or someone else or causes significant distress), but I can't access the full study. That specific number looks like it may only be referring to the actual term "BDSM" here. The article itself talks about how the numbers have changed, not how they have stayed consistent. I encourage you to read your own source. Even there, it looks like what most women are looking at is pretty tame stuff (fingering, romance, etc), and less than a third of users are women. And that there are more people searching lesbian porn, which would make sense because it's understandable that a portion of those women would be lesbians, or straight women looking for women's pleasure.

I think they get confused between the Pareto principle, a nearly 15-year-old marketing blog post from an online dating site, and just like their deep desire to be misogynist. Currently in another conversation with a guy who says we don't need to prove anything because intuition tells him it's true. You know, the intuition of a misogynist.

Yeah, I've done a lot of women who married young like that in different Asian countries and then finally smartened up and left those "traditional" good for nothing husbands.

evolutionary tendency to be possessive. No evolutionary psychologist would ever agree with you in regards to this highly socialized human behavior. Otherwise you couldn't explain other cultures that have existed without preference for number of sexual partners, or the practice polygyny, etc.

Research states “the relationship between premarital sex and divorce is significant and robust.” That might not have anything to do with nature, you're just guessing because it may also have to do with religiosity. Or socially conservative beliefs of other kinds. And norms don't necessarily reflect nature or even good ideas.

First, the whole idea of combining different sets of beliefs into "pills" is extremely weird and and of itself, but I haven't run across one that makes any sense in reality, aside from maybe if there's a secret type of pill I don't know about called "realitypilled."

That does not appear to be research, that is an anti-porn non-profit that's essentially an arm of the Mormon church. You're not linking to a study or even facts. I could make a very fancy looking bar graph and make it say anything I like.

Everything from that site is laughable, it's a 501c3 in the loosest sense, it's based in Salt Lake City, band it can be pretty safely assumed based on their funders that it's just an unofficial Mormon initiative. It's an anti-porn organization. I don't mind some religious nonprofits as long as they need to be honest about who they are and what they believe and why they're pushing their agenda, and if they're posting things that look like research, but actually aren't, they need to be called out.…

Ah yes. "Some things are intuitive." That's just trust me bro level 2. I wonder what level 3 will be! The reason we do actually need sources for things is because plenty of things that people thought were intuitive have turned out to be counterintuitive. If you're putting belief or faith into something you can't prove, that's just religion, not reality.

I don't know what Matt Smith looks like in that role, and I haven't seen it so I can't say. A lot of people found him attractive as the doctor, but that's not my particular flavor so I can't really say anything about that either. But I can use another example that men seemed confused about - Tom Hiddleston as Loki. Especially in the first two movies he was in. That is only true if you don't count civilian casualties, which have almost never been counted historically. Non-combatants are far more likely to experience extreme sexual violence, mutilation, and death, then combatants. Yes, I think what you're starting to understand is that oppression is intersectional. White students do better than students of color, generally speaking girls do better than boys EXCEPT in the case of Black students (misogynoir is an incredibly powerful force in the US). The reasons why achievement gaps exist are complex and interrelated, and it highly depends on what measures you're looking at of success. The suicide completion rate is highest for elderly white men, and men overall generally. However, This is often due to the method of suicide / attempted suicide. Men often have more access to guns or use guns more often and women are more likely to use other methods that don't require clean up for others. There's no way to exist as a human being without experiencing conflict. Name a person or a situation where an adult would never have experienced conflict. Even the most spoiled school boy on earth experiences conflict. If you interact with other human beings, there's no way to avoid it. Having truly ridiculous amounts of money might reduce the numbers of conflicts you experience but doesn't eliminate them, not by far. Think about the lives of Bezos or the Kardashians. Full of conflict.

I'm speaking about the friends that I do now and the way that I know it is because they use their words to tell me, because we are friends. You are making the assumption I'm speaking for an entire gender or something like that.

Yep - and yet somehow you've got people who think they've figured out every behavior between men and women based on their ability to reproduce. Just absolute bananas. I think we really need to improve scientific literacy across the board.

Nope, It's the most recent day that we have. There's actually pretty extensive research on number of sexual partners, age of first sex, etc. It needs to be fairly reliable as it happens in lots of different locations and buy lots of different researchers. I gave a wider range to include more conservative numbers as well as more liberal.

No, they're not encouraging or discouraging anything, they're just people who have refused to accept their age and somehow think they'll be able to recapture their youth if they can somehow date a woman younger than they are. They never seem to grasp why it's unfulfilling.

Nah, I'm in my 40s and there are quite a few guys like this in my extended friend circle. Most of them spend a lot of time going after girls this age and striking out a good portion of the time, the rest of the time they're focusing on an unhealthy way on appearing younger than they are, wearing trendy clothes that just look like old guys refusing to accept their age. There are always a couple of mentally ill or emotionally damaged young women they can prey on but they get frustrated because it …

Basically, it's a manipulative behavior where you pretend to be really terrible at something or don't make a fair effort because you want your partner to find it more frustrating to ask you to do something than for them to do it themselves. Imagine something like someone doing a half-assed job cleaning the bathroom and saying it's done, and then their partner coming in and there's still streaks of toothpaste in the sink or scum in the shower and the other partner are saying oh well I just didn't…

Your comment pretty much sums up my issue with evo psych adherents. Even on this sub there are loads of people claiming evolutionary psychology explains essentially all human behavior, especially sexual behavior, but simply can't explain how it's scientific or replicable in any way. It relies very much on the "I'm telling an evolutionary Just So story, trust me bro" approach.

Well I think you've combined a couple of different things here that probably deserve their own post because they're complicated and interrelated. First, a lot of people who practice astrology don't believe it. I found this out because I really hate astrology and kept talking to people about it and tarot reading. The very vast majority of people I've talked to said they don't actually believe it, they just see it as a form of entertainment. That to me makes it much more innocuous. They're not bas…

That may be a trend, but I wouldn't completely generalize it. It's far more important to look for somebody who is willing to go to therapy when they recognize that their relationships are unhealthy or they might benefit from it.

I think it's a pretty decent mix of both but the guys who are repeatedly in relationships with younger women or represent a pretty recognizable group. The ones who just happened to meet and hit it off despite the age difference in me anywhere normal couples do - work, meetups, hobbies. I met a former partner who's nearly 10 years younger than me playing a video game.

Are you saying if Keanu Reeves became a close confidante of Alex Jones, would I find Keanu Reeves attractive? Well I don't really think he'd be Keanu Reeves at that point because that goes against everything everyone knows about him, so I'd have to dramatically reconsider that but also Keanu is in a happy long-term relationship so that's a no before you even get to the Alex Jones thing.

This seems like a very specific question you want to ask about a particular woman, not a thing that most women would have experienced. Or men. The closest I could think is I know a woman who was groomed when she was very young by a much older man and manipulated into keeping that abuse and further abuse secret throughout her marriage. Actually, it's great for the larger collective. If you only think of the nuclear family as the way to organize society, you aren't looking at history or very positively towards the future. The nuclear family as we know it now has only existed for two, maybe three generations max. Intergenerational families are common, as well as non traditional families. It's actually much healthier to be surrounded by a community of care than a single family unit with just two parents and children.

The 80/20 rule doesn't even really apply to dating apps as they exist now. And it wasn't even a study, we should stop using that word as well. It was some very limited data that OkCupid released nearly 15 years ago. Match group, which now owns the vast majority of dating apps and sites is essentially a black box. If you want to get into the technicalities of male birth control, a large part of the reason that the risk has to be very low is because it has a much higher standard than women's birth control. I haven't heard anything reliable on that, I've only seen that it's more common for women to actually make closer to 30 or 40%, not that they want that balance. Also, more than 50% of people believe that women should stay home with children if there are any so it seems that in order to facilitate that, you would need quite a one-sided level of financial support from the other partner.

They truly believed they were a catch and would say things and do things that were truly horrific turn-offs to women. After a while, I started to feel like Roy Batty - I've seen things you p…

If the median number of sexual partners for people under 50 is 4-6, how do you find casual sex happening "a lot"?

No, they're not mutually exclusive, but benevolent sexism is very different from hostile sexism, and there's no solid evidence that women are actually attracted to hostile sexism, or even the benevolent sexism itself. Multiple citations don't make something reputable. Many completely disproven studies are highly cited. The study linking vaccines to autism was extraordinarily highly cited essentially up to the day it was retracted. A summary in Psychology Today definitely doesn't prove anything whatsoever. I'm pretty familiar with ambivalent sexism theory as well as her other work. If you have access to the phone article, you'll see that a great deal of her work is based on research that is at least 10 years o…

Both of the studies I cited don't come from the same researcher. What do you mean? I simply mentioned one who has published extensively and listed one of their publications. The other one is by someone else all together. There are far more data out there, from plenty of different researchers as well. What support do you have for this statement? Women have also displayed a strong preference for benevolent sexists to non-sexists (principled feminists) and hostile sexists. What study are you gettin…

Have you seen this study? https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.1177/1097184X20980789 I don't have access to the full text at the moment but the critical part of the abstract is as follows: Using representative survey data of Canadian adults, we examine the self-reported sexual behavior of heterosexual Canadian men. We find that self-identifying feminist men report having sex more recently and are more likely to report engaging in breast stimulation and performing oral sex on their partners th…
