Not to discount your complaints. They are likely very valid. I don’t have patience for people who can’t communicate their needs or take initiative to make their life better. That being said, you likely could try a few things first before losing your house and kids over this. Couples counseling. You guys seem to be talking through each other. Doesn’t feel very empathetic towards each other. Counselling seems worth it. have you tried just hiring a cleaner? Or outsourcing stuff? Sounds like you mak…

The older I’ve gotten the more I agree. I really don’t care if she snooped through my phone. I have nothing to hide. Just some memes with my buddies and general life admin.

haha. I had gone skiing that day alone to help clear my head. My whole drive home I was pumping myself up, and role playing the conversation. I just kind of blurted it out. It didn't go as planned, but the effect was the same.

Funny enough, he definitely makes more than me, and is the "more senior, older, richer guy at work". Probably 2-5 years older I would think?

That's funny you say that. "One of convenience". There was always a lingering element of that in our relationship, but I pushed those feelings down. - Always asking me to scratch her legs nightly on the couch (never returning me any other form of care like a massage or scratches or anything sexual). - Never making an effort to ask me how my job is going despite always having a pulse on hers. - Getting mad at me over ridiculous small things (like asking if we had ingredients for dinner at home th…

Yeah. I am hoping for the same. I have negative desire to pursue other women. I just want to pursue my hobbies and enjoy the company of my friends. I had some insecurity issues before, and they’re even worse now.

I don’t feel the need to talk to this guy. I don’t want to see his face or hear from him. He’s a piece of shit. I do have a way of contacting his girlfriend though. I am currently thinking through the best way to do this.

I don’t think I can. I’m having a really hard time thinking my way through the logistics.

Thanks dude. It really is tough to mourn the life I had pictured. We are setup financially that the next 5-10 years would put us in a very good place, even with children. I had a whole life planned with her which I can’t see anymore. Just fucking depressing. I also live in a VHCOL city, and my living situation will take a big step back because of this. Luckily I can afford food and shelter on my own and still have a nest egg. It can always be worse, and I’m just trying to be thankful for what I …

Yes no kids. Also why I want to just move on. Be the thankful for the time we had, but the relationship is broken and run its course.

You have no idea how much a random comment from a random stranger on the internet meant to me. Really feeling alone with all this. Thanks for taking the time to read my story.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
