Man, that was totally awesome. Do not get stressed over it, be proud of yourself instead. You did nothing wrong. Not that this approach will get you far probably, but the very fact of being able to step over the social boundaries is quite prominent.

I am in the same age bracket and in the same boat feeling about marriage exactly the same. I think we are simply behind our alloted dating quota in life that people have to go through before settling down. Do not delude yourself on the notion of being more developed than others: intellectually we definitely are, emotionally we are rather undeveloped.

It may be the other way around, not their rejection causes a loss of self worth, the lack of self worth causes the rejection. It is possible, from my point of view, that you may be seeking validation from success with women. You are not getting what you want and you feel bad about yourself. The key is to think of oneself as the greatest man ever regardless.

I was just about to start another topic that would be very similar, which would be "What topics to steer clear off?" In my experience, talking about just about anything works fine as long as: You don't bombard the girl with a series of questions non stop, like it is some sort of an interview.
