It depends where I have lived, what is going on in my life at the time (new baby, deployment, timing of these things, etc) really factors into my involvement. Realize this...if your wife moves around the world with you, she likely wants to seek friendships. You have a job as you move, and hence are around other adults. If we could have an honest discussion about it, maybe that would be helpful, but we can't without people freaking out. Take New Year's Eve in Köln as an example. Many times rape victims are also murdered. Adding "Wartime Sexual Violence" to the mix, and you can't easily say women have it easier. Yazidi women hardly have it easy.
