I personally view porn as generally very harmful for both men and woman, for woman it increases risks around grape culture and for men can cause financial issues among just general mental health issues. I don’t shame men for consuming it though, I think it should definitely be banned and men with an addiction for it should get help.

That’s just not true, majority women aren’t attracted to men with long hair. I’ve met men who are tall, masculine, go to the gym but have shoulder length hair and have admitted women tell them it’s a major turn off and they should “just cut it”

I wasn’t saying sexual gratification is the legal definition of every hidden-camera crime. I was using ‘Molka’ in the common sense secret filming that’s typically associated with voyeurism and sexual exploitation. That’s different from the broader issue of unauthorized photography or image-rights violations.

it is reliable because self-reports are the most accurate way to capture crimes that victims are too afraid to report to the police. And the molka pandemic was a real thing, so much so Korea mandated the unmutable shutter sound when you take a photo to prevent this. Also, women are not legally or statistically excluded from being perpetrators of sexual violence in South Korea.

I’m not saying men never face institutional bias. Black men specifically for example , face severe and well documented sentencing disparities. That’s real and serious. My point is about structural equivalence. Misogyny has historically excluded women from political power, property ownership, legal autonomy, and bodily self determination worldwide. The existence of certain policies or biases that disadvantage men doesn’t create the same kind of sex based structural subordination.

That’s a pretty big oversimplification. People don’t have one fixed bias that applies everywhere, it changes by context. Sometimes women support women, sometimes men support women, sometimes people side with whoever has less power in that situation. Boiling it down to ‘women are sexist against men’ just doesn’t really match how bias actually shows up in real life.

Yeah, those cases you describe are awful, and anyone going through that deserves sympathy. But a few personal experiences don’t change the bigger picture, large scale studies consistently find that false accusations are rare. Real harm can happen from false claims, but they’re the exception, not the rule.

I hear you, and I understand that the current system causes real, lasting harm to people like you even when accusations are unproven. We’re clearly aligned that externalising uncertainty onto individuals is the core problem. That’s a perception effect, not a data effect. Awareness campaigns increase reporting, not lying. If media attention actually caused false accusations, we’d see false-report rates rise,and we don’t. Visibility isn’t the same thing as prevalence.

I’m truly sorry you went through that, the harm you describe is real, and institutions often handle uncertainty badly. Where I disagree is that this shows false accusations are common rather than that systems overreact to risk. Front-loaded consequences reflect liability avoidance and social pressure, not a finding of truth. I think the failure is externalising uncertainty onto individuals , but that’s different from assuming accusations are usually false or widely untrue.

That jump doesn’t really make sense. Cases that aren’t proven true or false don’t magically become false, They’re just unresolved, like with most crimes. You can’t add them to the ‘false’ column without evidence. If we did that consistently, we’d end up claiming huge false-report rates for every crime. The actual evidence we have still points to false accusations being a minority.

I’m really sorry your cousin went through that, it’s awful when anyone is falsely accused and faces consequences for something they didn’t do. False accusations do happen, and they should absolutely be taken seriously and punished when proven. But they are very rare compared to the number of real assaults. Being skeptical of everything because of one case risks harming countless real victims. We can acknowledge both the injustice of false accusations and the need to support genuine survivors.

That’s a sweeping generalization. Most women’s groups exist to offer support and solidarity, not “male hate.” Sisterhood is about shared experiences and building platonic connections with other women. Sometimes discussions involve men, often because of mistreatment by classmates, partners, or family members, but it’s not about men in general, and it’s certainly not the sole focus.

Im not sure what statistics your showing here, but even if (hypothetically) it is shown that most women do not show any empathy towards men than that would be very strange considering part of human nature is having empathy for one another, I’m a woman, I believe many difficulties men face are unfair and we as a society should do better, and I’m sure plenty other women would agree, it depends on what women you surround yourself around.Plus these statistics are very often not accurate.
