I think when younger, it is possible to find many couples who genuinely like each other. However, once older, *most* women don’t like the man they are with. He helps her fulfill a goal. They like what he provides. Many past 40 will do and tolerate anything to secure a husband and retirement plan.

This. Sorry to hijack-it’s pertinent. Years ago, my ex bf and I agreed to a traditional situation. We split everything bill wise 50/50 (nothing wrong with that) while he made 4x what I did (that was tricky). I had to get a part time job in addition to my full time job as we had purchased a house a year after dating. I know. I know. He encouraged me to take a higher paying job and soon I was making more than him. He wanted me to get plastic surgery (didnt happen ). He wanted me to drive a differe…

Unpopular opinion (and I'm a more traditional woman). Both genders are guilty of choosing poorly. Women have a tendency to choose the men who don't want to commit to them. They have a tendency to hold on tightly to those who have no interest in a serious R with them. Men have a tendency to choose the women who aren't genuinely attracted to them , but rather their resources. That's why when these same men say they don't understand why their wife doesn't genuinely desire them or why their sex life…

I’m a 49F. For context, I’m considered very attractive for my age. Take that fwiw :-) There are so many beautiful young women-including my daughter. I had my time, and I’m grateful that I didn’t grow up in the era of social media and apps. I’m old enough to be these gorgeous, young women’s’ mother. Nothing to be jealous of in my opinion. They are in their prime.

A and B. I get approached just about anytime I go anywhere, but I don’t go out often. I’m old:-)I’m one step from the grave according to this subreddit-I’m 49. I suppose I’m what many people would consider attractive for my age. I come from a long line of beauty queens and take this for what it’s worth, when I post pics on photofeeler I consistently score 9s. Honestly, it’s probably more that I do have a nice smile and I’m very outgoing. Although, I do clean up nicely for an older person. I’m pr…

Most of the men I’ve dated have been bald. Bald with scruff or a beard. Oh my.

And they get 80 to 90 % of the women. No way those dudes have time to pee let alone work.

If a guy tells me he doesn’t want exclusivity, I just assume he doesn’t want it with me. Because in the end, whether he doesn’t desire exclusivity or doesn’t desire it with me, the end result is the same. Non exclusive :-)I have no idea if I was the main person. While I desire a LTR, I actually don’t have an issue with being non exclusive for those very reasons you mentioned. I treat everyone with respect, but I think you know that when we are exclusive, certain expectations exist. Whereas if no…

I’ve dated guys (we were not exclusive) who gave me presents, took me on trips, introduced me to family, called me their gf, and told me they loved me. They weren’t jerks. They were honest. They may have loved me but had no desire to be exclusive with me. While some of the behavior was a little confusing, in the end, they still had no desire for exclusivity. Nothing wrong about it.

I’m knocking on the door of 50. Trust me. I know some gold digging women in their 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s. Are their lots of insecure older women? Sure. I think many people struggle with getting older. I grew up in a family of beauty queens. I was much cuter 25 years ago. I can’t turn back the clock nor do I ever dream of doing so.

Both genders are guilty of this. Some guys wants the gf experience without the commitment and some women want the guy friend to act like a bf without the sex.

Relationships don’t necessarily translate into marriage. The Pew Institute studies marriage, and the last data that I saw which was either last year or the year before said that less than 7%of marriages result from online dating. I am much older than the average poster here. But yes, I have frustrated friends who are still trying to date like in their 20s when they’re in their 40s. They are perpetually disappointed and often disillusioned. Edited for spelling

Most couples are looks matched. A woman being able to hook up with a hot guy online doesn’t equate to her getting him to commit. Also, the vast majority of marriages do not come from online meetings. Yes, you will see data that says many “relationships” come from apps but relationship is a vast term.

Just because one isn’t in menopause doesn’t actually mean they have x years to have kids. The quality of eggs along with supply diminish after 35, 40 and a rather precipitous drop off after 42. Women may still be having a cycle but likelihood of natural conception after 42 is highly unlikely. Yes, someone will post anecdotal story but it’s actually not common.

^ This. I was tormented when I was growing up for having a large round bottom. Now, people stop me in the grocery store to ask how or where I got it. Never would I have believed this would happen years ago.

I always wonder how these “Chads” manage to have time to even shower. Apparently, they are banging different chicks all day long.

Most people are on the spectrum of average. Ive seen couples that were comparable in looks. Sometimes , I see a couple where the guy is more attractive and sometimes it’s the woman. I see both.

Yes, but most of those women are hoping “he comes around” or that the situation evolves.

I always wonder if these top 20% of men are able to work since they get more ass than a toilet seat. Seriously, they must be banging women 23 hours a day according to many.
