What I find confusing is that the court would require the bio father, Doolen, to agree to taking over the responsibility in order for Atkins to be absolved of the financial responsibility. Why isn't it automatic once paternity was established? But then again there's a lot of questions that never get good answers. Like, why is child support enforced so enthusiastically but visitation orders are rarely enforced at all?

My local Fox affiliate ran this story on the evening news. To most here this is something we've seen played out many times before but it was amazing to have it get attention on the local news.

The votes tend to support racists as long as they're pro men's rights while here. Simply posting on /r/greatapes doesn't necessarily make one a racist. They could be arguing against the group. But I've seen users here get down voted into oblivion for pointing out racism because it was happening somewhere else. If OP was supporting /r/beatingwomen and it was made known here I would think that person would be unpopular here. I'm not suggesting mod action should ever be used in these situations, ju…

I agree. But I think if someone is openly racist it's bad for what men's rights stands for and hypocritical. imagine you're at an MR themed gathering, having a conversation where someone is making an ok argument on the behalf of men's rights. they make several good points. and every once in a while they sprinkle in a racist comment. and the most negative reaction to the racism is for the bystanders to give a disapproving look but never speak up shortly afterward you join another conversation and…

So, they charge him with manufacturing child porn because he took pictures of a minor's (his own) penis. How does inducing an erection and photographing a minor's penis not make the prosecution/police guilty of the same crime?

both of the comments calling him out are weak and both in the negative right now. imagine you're at an MR themed gathering, having a conversation where someone is making an ok argument on the behalf of men's rights. they make several good points. and every once in a while they sprinkle in a racist comment. and the most negative reaction to the racism is for the bystanders to give a disapproving look but never speak up shortly afterward you join another conversation and hear a voice make a good p…

see /u/Shegetz comment below trying to justify the racist comment. the problem is that it does matter when someone that you agree with on men's rights issues is also racist. by simply downvoting and then otherwise ignoring the racist stuff it makes us look bad.

it wasn't on another sub. it was on another post from /r/mensrights. on the front page. i had both threads open (both from this sub). i noticed the racist comment and downvoted. came in this thread and was about to upvote /u/Shegetz and recognized the name. copied from the comment from one front page /r/mensrights post to the other.

you're right. i admit that sports fans talking shit can be a mean and i shouldn't have called them hillbilies. bears fans like to paint packers fans as backwards an uncultured and they like to portray us as being the polish sausage eating swerski's superfans types. normally there are no hard feelings intended nor any taken. but if everyone here is cool with calling black people liars and wants to jump down my throat for pointing it out then no problem. i was under the impression that racism wasn…

didn't have to dig for it. i saw the racist comment on another front page post in this sub before i ever even got in this thread. i was about to upvote the comment i replied to and recognized the name. only had to switch tabs to post it. and it may be ad hominem, but i don't care. if /u/Shegetz says racist shit it doesn't make up for anything else they say that might have merit. i didn't call him/her out for any flaw in their argument or logic, i called /u/Shegetz out for being a racist turd

See, you make some good points but it's all for nothing when you post racist shit.

I've worked security at a casino and was groped by drunk men and drunk women fairly often. I've never had a sober person grope me. I think your experience was the result of him being drunk and not because of gender. My advice would to be cautious around any approaching stranger at 3am, especially one that's visibly drunk.

Also the article says that the photo evidence that was taken by police (which was kept from the defense) showed no tape marks or marks of any kind.

Let me get this straight... there are people that think it's possible to get cancer in organs that they don't have? Would these same people agree that I, as a man, can get ovarian cancer even though I don't have ovaries?

Please elaborate.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
