Except charisma is fairly rare because it's hard to cultivate. Throughout most of history, people used to think it was an inborn gift, not a skill you could acquire.

I'm naturally selecting this as the best comment on reddit.

I don't believe in your hypothesis. I think you need to use the scientific method to prove it.

I disagree. I think that most people think they can easily sus out bad people, yet consistently befriend, defend, be persuaded by, and fall for bad people. You'd be surprised by how easy it is for psychopaths to manipulate anyone. You'd be shocked by how many medical and clinical professionals (many specializing in understanding psychopathy) fail to recognize psychopathy in others in double blind trial conditions or simply get swept away by the charm of some sociopaths. However, there is a lot o…

Honestly. This unresolved dichotomy might be one of the most significant reasons for the "gender wars". I never had the words to articulate what I just read until now, but it makes perfect sense. Women want to be respected like people in public but treated like a woman in a relationship. And men were never taught the latter. In fact, many were never even told this difference existed. As a man, this difference just doesn't really exist the other way round, except that men are encouraged to be mor…

This is one of the most manipulative comments I have ever seen.

That makes sense, thanks for the explanation. Also, I think all the pun was intended lol

Masturbation can lead to orgasm, and, I'm assuming, has the same healing effects of sex. So one can get these positive side effects without engaging in sex.

The common sense response is to just not bring up your past. Like, if you're dating a guy and you're making him wait, then don't tell him you didn't make other guys wait, but that's just going to make him feel that he isn't good enough to get the same experiences that other guys got. Of course, if you explain to him that he is good enough and even better than the other guys for "X" reason, and you're treating him differently because of that, and that he will get an even better experience than th…

Ok, but the statement "women dress for attention" cannot be true if "women don't dress for attention" is true. You can modify both statements by saying, "some women dress for attention sometimes" and "some women don't dress for attention sometimes" and that would be fine. In reality "a woman decides on whether she is dressing for attention based on what she wears, why she wears what she wears, her level of self-awareness, who is giving her attention, what type of attention she is receiving, and …

Is that true? Do you have any evidence to back up your claims? Also, what do constitute as degrading?

I think we are all missing the elephant in the room, which is that the type of men women hook up with and the type of men women pursue long term relationships with are both different and held to different expectations and standards. This logic works with in reverse as well. Women are going to anticipate how I guy will treat them based off of whether he hits under a bad boy category or a future boyfriend category, and OP likely fits somewhere in the middle, which is why he needs to convince the w…

He started a society that was dedicated to his hobby. He recruited 20-30 people in a week. Then he organised meet-ups. He ended up dating one of the girls through that society.

My friend did that when he first went to university. He found a girlfriend within a couple of weeks, despite having near zero romantic experience beforehand. I’m certain he never would have got a girlfriend if he didn’t do that. It’s shockingly effective.
