"You're implying the MGTOW subs free speech is being impeded. I'm arguing that it isn't. Just the sub's ability to advertise." Why are you being thick on purpose? We both think that place is toxic, but that isn't justification of anything. "because reddit isn't the center of the universe." I dont give a fuck about this site -- but I see this crap being pushed far beyond it too. https://www.professorbainbridge.com/professorbainbridgecom/2019/12/i-submit-herewith-my-diversity-equity-and-inclusion-…

"everywhere has to give you the ability to freely share your thoughts" you mean reddit is now a publisher? That implies something... "that everyone's opinion or view has to be respected" that's irrelevant to impeding its transmission. "doesn't include advertising your subreddit to others." ? Where does this come in?

Restricting the means implies restricting the speech itself. This issue extends to, for example, paypal banning accounts based on ideology.

I've lurked there since 2013. It's been a pointless, stupid subreddit for a while. But I don't give a damn about the admin's idea of what is "toxic" can be. These same admins can consider this subreddit toxic. Speech shouldnt be restricted based on weak subjective claims. Don't you see where this always heads?

Edgy posts arent reason enough for banning speech. Stuff about motorbikes and adventures can be posted on more relevant subs. You're either not self-aware, or morally agree with those who restricted the sub.

"Women were, for most of history in most places, bargaining chips for parents or property of husbands. Things like rape and physical abuse were a very real problem." Contextualize instead of hiding behind a general statement, and stop being blind to what ailed the other half of the populace to further just one group's interests. Not sure why I react so negatively to this crap now. Maybe because you give them an inch and they take a mile.

Women who benefit from feminism and do nothing against it are feminists. Taking a leaf out of the "all men are part of the patriarchy" argument.

Since when was "toxicity" a valid reason to suppress speech? You're assuming someone else's moral judgement is justification to shut someone else down. Fascinating how this bullshit is normalized so quickly.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
