They drive on the sidewalk to either not be in the traffic jam right next to them, take a shortcut somewhere else or they want to park on the sidewalk. Or they simply do not know the rules. I found an interesting website regarding driving in Russia, and I never want to drive there: https://factsanddetails.com/russia/Education_Health_Transportation_Energy/sub9_6d/entry-5158.html

Yeah, this is a huge problem in russia, the movement already existed since 2010 and people still try to defend their "right" to drive in the sidewalk, especially older people and women.

Yeah, that is what stop a douchebag is about, they simply stand on the sidewalk and defend their right of not being killed by cars while walking. If the drivers continue driving or don't want to drive of the sidewalk (backwards, after all there are pedestrians in front of them), they get a sticker.

But this won't happen, because I follow the traffic rules and don't drive on the sidewalk. They tried to drive over people on the sidewalk and got a complaint on their windshield in form of a sticker, which can be removed with water, a scraper and time. If a group puts a sticker on my car without reason, I would be angry at them, but if they have a reason after warning me several times, I would accept it because it would be my fault. I don't know if it is the same in your country, but in russia …

I got banned, because I simply provided information regarding a post, nothing else.

Because their goal is not to damage other cars. It also prevents them from driving forward, because they only stick it on cars driving on the sidewalk when they don't back up and continue driving forward into people standing on the sidewalk. And before someone comes with "the sticker is also property damage!", if I understand it right, in russia damage is only a non reversible change exceeding 3000 rubels. The stickers can be completely removed by anyone having water and a scraper.

You mean they remind people they park on a sidewalk and if they do not repark, they get a sticker on the windshield, right?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
