They get to act with impunity for every other crime they commit, the media wouldnt flip at all. Even if they did, the guy does two days of desk work until the 24 hr media cycle decides something else is more important.

Anxiety is fucking fascinating when viewed objectively. It's me worrying about an imagined future me in an imaginary scenario I've thought up with imaginary outcomes. Or, conversely, me worrying about an imaginary previous me in situations that have already happened, but I've reimagined them as if they happened in a different manner and what situation actual me would be in today if they happened in that different, imaginary way. It's basically a massively narcissistic, self involved, selfish fee…

...and it appears to also be extremely effective. Treatment is treatment.

But people are going to get all hateful about the post anyway. Sounds pretty incelsior to me. Brilliant edit. Bravo

It's not the courts, it's the DAs. If they start charging cops regularly, cops will be far less helpful when they're trying to convict members of the general public. A DA with a quality relationship with the local PD can essentially lean on cops to twist the narrative for a conviction. Cop gets his stat, DA gets a win, and the US Prison System gets another body to rent out as "just barely not a slave" labor. Everyone wins.

Yes. I'm going in hot, stirring the pot, then whenever I push someone over the edge, the fallout is their fault.

Sounds oddly familiar to the way violent police officers are treated.

Yeah, you could tell she was floundering when she started looking at the rest of the panel while speaking. She realized she fucked up and his reply was a completely legitimate punch in the face.
