Identify yourself as a strong black woman and you’ll get it.

The woman should go to prison.

Lol, that's a shaming tactic. Here are a few others - Who hurt you, you are insecure, grow up, you're broke, you're a narcissist, you have small "d" energy, loser, etc. Basically if they have a negative reaction to something it's because it hits close to home for them.

I may be oversimplifying it but I see them as simps. I will probably get a lot of negative reactions to this but it is what it is.

Absolutely! You are correct on everything you stated. Good riddance! 😀

Really the danger is from chameleons who hold such views and bigotry through attachment to such a divisive/narc-ideology, but conceal it until they have intimacy/trauma bonded you to them. You just described my ex.

Make of this whatever you want but here is my experience. I was unknowingly married to a feminist for 15 years. At home she was traditional/conservative but I started seeing her true self during covid when we were stuck at home. Not sure if she became more feminist over time or she hid it from me. Oh yeah, she is also a covert narcissist so maybe she was a feminist all along. If I were you I would cut my losses and run. This is coming from a divorced guy who can attribute in part the demise of t…

I would not do that on social media. If you are separated, you might be able to add on the post separation adultery depending on your state's laws. If it exists in the laws, hire a private investigator and have them provide you some proof. I will not go into the details of how they do this but they can explain it to you. It might take some time for them to get you some results...or not depending on how big a heaux she is. With my ex, it did not take long...lol.

If she is like most women, her high income will decrease the amount of suitable (to her) candidates. She will expect that person to make at least the same or above otherwise she will have no respect for them.

Lol, it is very interesting to see many similarities in my experience with some differences of course. My ex is in her mid 40s and we share custody of 2 young kids. She has aged quickly in the last couple of years and looks like an old lady...yikes! I'm in my late 40s and it is pretty damn cool dating women in their 20s and 30s with little baggage/drama. Sorry, but I just can't see myself dating women in my age range with all their baggage and insecurities. I've packed on muscle and leaned out a…

Though I am not necessarily looking for child support depending on how the judge rules when we go to court, I am wondering about spousal support. The reason is that she has an advanced degree higher than I do and LOTS of well paying job prospects. In the last 10 months she has not found a job but instead has made the time to find a new relationship and spend as much of her free time effing this dude. I hope you get child support and anything else that is fair or within the law. I think my stbxw …

You ended your post with love is weird. In my opinion, having been through something similar myself, these feelings are a result of trauma bonding because good healthy love doesn't hurt like this. Trauma bonding is insiduous and by the time you are discarded as I was, you are no longer in control. While I would like to fool myself into believing I am over my covert narc ex, that is not the case. I'm not ashamed to admit it, it is what it is. But this will probably take me many more months or yea…

You are not the only one. I'm going through the divorce process with somebody who turned out to be a covert narcissist. I overlooked many signs over many years but the pandemic forced us to be together more than before and it exposed a lot of things in both of us. I have accepted my failings and am working on fixing that. She has not accepted any fault whatsoever and is portraying herself as the victim...as covert narcs do. I'm grateful for everything that has happened. My eyes have been opened …

Thank you for this info. I am going through the divorce process and was in the same situation as OP and you. This will be good to get my mental state ready to accept whatever the court decides. The one potential difference is she has a high level degree with earning potential much higher than me. In the area where we live there are many jobs she is well qualified for with a salary 20k to 40k above mine.

That is the definition of projecting. Look at what she says and does from now on. Get ready for it because it is going to be brutal. Analyze the past and things will start to make sense. Educate yourself on narcissists...specifically covert narcissists. This will help you make sense of the BS. I went through that experience in the last year with my stbxw. Please get yourself a therapist who has experience with narcissists. I wish you good luck, brother.

This is good to know! However, I do believe it is important how we apply the content. This goes for a bunch of other books. Thanks for the heads up though, good stuff.

Ha! I loved extreme ownership! More geared towards work/business but all the advice can definitely apply to personal relationships. That is one book my stbxw will never read because in her mind she is perfect and doesn't need to change anything. I actually told her about the book after I read it. I referenced situations at work. She just kind of nodded and was probably calling me names in her head.

To quote a great movie "Negative, Maverick. The pattern is full." She can get herself a new car after you guys are divorced. I dodged a bullet on this topic. I was close to getting my stbxw a new Suburban. She left me before that idea went anywhere and we are divorcing now. Phew.

I'm not a religious person but I think you are missing out on a great opportunity to use what is going on with you as a teaching/learning moment. You should look for scriptures that you can quote and turn what most people see as a negative into a positive. This is not easy and I do not envy your predicament. But you have to find a way to inspire your church and in the process inspire yourself. I sincerely wish you good luck with this.

Brother, you WILL be OK. Stay positive however you can. Let's take this as the biggest lesson in life. Do not let her poison your heart. Let her keep that poison for herself and you lead a good positive life. I will say however, that I feel very similarly when it comes to having another romantic relationship. Time will tell. Good luck brother.

Damn...what you wrote above...you could have been talking about me and what my wife is doing with me right now. I have lawyers and yes multiple cases that I am defending against. In a weird way I am glad she is going full scorched earth because she is ensuring that I never love her again. I'm at peace with myself. I have friends, family and coworkers providing me emotional support. I know I am a good person with flaws that can be fixed because I have a desire to be a better person. I am in thera…

Revenge is fleeting my dude. Keep yourself sane and try to find ways to be happy for yourself that don’t involve damage to another. You will be happier in the long run. Live the positive life that will enrage her and eat away at her with hate.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
