We’re filing a joint petition, but I did a consult with an attorney and she urged me to do it ASAP before it gets even more expensive. One of my employees encouraged the same.

I’d be so happy to give her lump sum but I’d need a loan and repay would be 7k a month over 20yrs All things accounted for I’m “only” bringing home 9k a month…500 insurance for the kids, 1400 daycare, 2800 rent, $1800 to her for her share of profits… Fortunately my state is fair with child support. I’d owe $1800 but we have 50/50 so she also owes 800…nets me 1k and covering her half of daycare + her half of insurance just negates her getting more cash. She doesn’t even fucking pay rent. She’s li…

I put in the decree that she gets $1800/mo + 10k additional per year w/ 10 years to hit the 500k Right now is a pivotal point. I’m expecting to be making over 500k in profit in 2025. I get half of that because partner, but I’d owe her much more. My business partner, and I had a contingency plan ready to devalue and tank the company. Value is earnings based, very asset light so we could just kill it all 😂 but she accepted the buyout.

It’s not worth it dude. Come on. I never wanted to be married to my ex. I never even wanted to get engaged. Telling her that would do nothing but hurt her. I don’t need to cause hurt. There’s enough of that in the world.

I would get married again. I’m going to be a lot more picky this time, and they are signing a prenup in which they get. Absolutely fucking nothing from me other than child support if applicable.

I see more great dudes with terrible women. But I also have more men friends than I do women. I want them all to have this freedom so fucking bad but it’s soooo hard. OP’s take is absolutely wild though lmao

I’ve always been handy since I was a kid taking apart the remote control and fixing the drywall that I busted up when I was angry. Started as an apprentice for a remodeling company when I just needed some kind of job and it spiraled from there. The business started as handyman, and I just kept seeing opportunities to do more and capitalizing them.

Remodeling, so ultimately I work in all of the trades you’d see in residential kitchen & bath installs.

My industry is construction, but I’m a tradesman. Startup cost was $500 & I worked solo for 6 months, as a pair for 12 months, and then we started hiring on and growing faster. We’re a kitchen & bath builder and our tangent was cabinet sales.

Start a biz and then build it to the point where you don’t have to work more than 20 hours a week And then spin it off into a tangentially related company that uses the same infrastructure, but serves an entirely different market That requires absolutely zero more hours from you, because you can just hire it out immediately.

I used to spend the entire day at work, hiding from my wife / my house. Even if I done by 1, it was like…I’d nap, scroll tiktok, play games on my PC..just not hiding out

Whatever the fuck I waaaant Go fuck around at work for a couple of hours, sometimes most of the day. I keep the RC cars in my truck on work days so if I fuck off early I can go to the track or the park. Lots of naps. Surprisingly, much less video games than when I was married. Keep the house clean.

I mean it doesn’t even need to be a new country… The problem is with your partner paying you under the table is that someone has to pay the taxes on that profit. So the income would be on his filings.

You can fold and reopen the company to get rid of her being entitled to half of it but if spousal support is based on your income and the profit from the business shows as income for you, you will owe the spousal support regardless.
