I think it is irrational to believe women would just randomly attack you unprovoked. But it's also fucked up to invalidate and be unsympathetic to those who genuinely believe that. Like women have the notion that all men are bad, nobody bats an eye. But for the other way around it's considered wrong to generalize. I think it's stupid either way.
