Who would have guessed you can't handle a moderate statement that doesn't try to place one gender over another? Imagine thinking an egalitarian view is "trash." You literally prove all of my points to be true. Thank you.

Like I said, I get it, I can gather what you're about. You put so much toxicity into the world and so many nonsensical arguments that no matter how much time you spend on one, it's just a drop in the bucket. Not something you can be expected to remember, now matter how much time you spend on it. I bet you have multiple, toxic, arguments going on in your notifications right along with this one lmao. All against men, I assume. While I debate plenty of guys and gals on any number of topics, I bet y…

Has your opinion changed or been altered at all since posting this question? Also btw, clearly these anecdotal examples of women explaining why their relationships fizzled are not going to be the most reliable examples. How could they possibly know exactly what these men are thinking and what their thought processes are? They are just assuming this was THE problem instead of considering a million other things that could have contributed to the relationship ending. When asking about the internal …

You seem to be pretty toxic and prejudiced against men to be talking like that. It's pretty ironic to hear you say something like that but be completely flabbergasted by a man who has similar complaints about women. Blaming the male gender for all problems instead of taking any accountability whatsoever is exactly what you are accusing "men" of doing to women. Listen sister, these Red Pill guys are out of their minds on most things, don't get me wrong, but the women around here are also painfull…

You are the one who responded to me and sought me out lol, even after you claimed you were done. Your logical abilities are clearly still rather lackluster. Reddit takes up very little of my time, and I have barely used this site. Your argumentation was so ridiculous and exhausting last time that shortly after, I stopped using the site entirely. I thought I'd give the Reddit cesspool one more chance a few days ago, only to IMMEDIATDLY have you, the exact same person lol, show up responding to me…

It would still not matter to most men. The only "downside" might be that it might be harder to find "the one" because you would enter into relationships so rapidly. At the same time, if you could just start over again and have the opportunity to date all kinds of people until you found the person you re most compatible with, the "downside" I just mentioned would be largely irrelevant.

Why do you want this to be the case so bad? What is the benefit for you if men want a chase? I guess I am more so asking, why are you so intent on contending there are "so many" guys who want life to be more difficult than it has to be? Even though essentially every guy here is telling you otherwise, you continue to hold onto your initial premise just as strongly. Why ask the question if you are not open to the answer?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/24 02:49 AM

Yes, nearly all would be happier if dating were "easier." Just because a handful of men might dislike that change in dynamic, that does not change the reality that the vast majority of men would obvious welcome it. Why would anyone want to suffer or struggle more in life for no purpose?

I think you might be ranting and arguing online a little too often if you are really this inundated with toxic arguments that you really have no memory of any of them. That would make you the common denominator btw.

Do you engage in so many toxic discussions that you don't actually remember any of them? We literally just had a seemingly endless "debate" which amounted to you throwing a week's long tantrum over nothing and refusing to engage in good faith at all, but instead clinging to your faux outrage as a shield to hide behind. I highly doubt you have matured in just a month to the point where you can genuinely have a substantive discussion. I'm not interested in being your therapist.

To be fair, you did not say "give up entirely," given your statements and the context of the conversation, that was the inference/summation I made. That's essentially what it sounded like you were saying. You said a whole bunch of things like "A romantic relationship is not a need" and "find hobbies" and "Broaden your horizons, live a joyful life. If you have a terribly unhappy life alone, what about a partner will fix that? And who wants to stay with someone who is always so unjoyful?" Given th…

You responded to me lol, jumping in on an entirely different discussion. You picked it up. I didn't send you anything. I don't mind conversations going any length, I just don't care to engage in any more conversations with you. They are utterly pointless as you have previously shown. Your behavior destroys discourse and has caused this reaction.

I would not really care that much either way. I am a pretty insecure person, so the only difference to me would be that I guess I would prefer she have been with guys who are conventionally unattractive before. This is the question that was asked, ok, I'm sorry if you took a more "nuanced" approach that I did not pick up on from your comments. ".Men are just as women are, capable of using intelligence and communication to express their loneliness in productive ways and explore mediums that bring them joy. Say something nice about men then. It's weird to be asked to generalize about something like gender or race. "What is good about white people" "what is good about black people" "what is good about women," it's just weird. What, do you expect people to pull the ol "Asians are good at math" compliment? To offer a statement that compliments a generalized gender group is going to feel like stereotyping. A lot of women tend to be very kind, intelligent, gentle, and not fall into traits of aggression …

Who said it was? You are the one who is suggesting these guys should stop trying to find relationships and just focus on other hobbies instead. At least, that's what it feels like you're saying. You have just decided that, universally, for an entire slew of people. Lmao. I am not interested in dealing with your obfuscating straw men that only serve to distract from what is actually being discussed. We both know you are just going to get pissed off and refuse to engage in good faith in about 2 seconds anyway, regardless of what is said. It has been multiple weeks at this point, I thought you would have let this go.

That's really what it comes down to. You also believe, perhaps rightly, that a lot of these guys have very little chance to ever find what they want so you think they should just give up. Expect some to follow that, but don't be surprised when they don't. The question was raised, the obvious answer was given. If you don't like the obvious answer that should be painfully self-explanatory, then Idk what more to tell you.

You can also just put "no pill" as I have done. I also never stated "blue pill" have a specific belief system, I pointed out the trends I have noticed in the argumentation of people labeled as "blue pill." The explanation of the pill on this very community also describes certain trends such as highlighting feminism as a common component. "Going your own way" is a pretty stupid rule to impose upon yourself in the first place. It is also unreasonable to expect people who don't want to do that to simply forget their natural inclinations and desires. Obviously developing toxic self-defeating views is not the answer, but for most people, neither is simply giving up. It might work for certain individuals, and all the power to them. But for you people to suggest that to beat loneliness you embrace being lonely and give up on what you a…

The only problem with this is the reality that women don't really want men that much. Being pushed into relationships with men by a desire for children, heteronormative cultural expectations, a desire for economic or social status increases, or to satisfy the occasional lust for masculinity from only the most desirable of men, does not bode well for most guys. Women have little reason to want a relationship with any man who is not among the top level of desirability. They are better off single (…

That analogy doesn't really make sense, it's more like asking a Christian about Christian beliefs only to find out they aren't practicing so they don't actually know. Idk, labeling yourself as blue pill might have something to do with it. Do you share the beliefs I laid out or not? Or is there some combination of agree and disagree? I didn't accuse you of anything lol. I'm not really very familiar with what these labels are, but it seems to me the people marked "blue pill" are usually quick to attribute every relationship/dating woe to misogyny, male laziness, etc. etc. You however bring up differences in libido and the "risk-reward" dynamic that differs between men and women. Women have a lot of problems in modern society. They face a lot of sexism but directly and institutionally. There are a lot of unfair aspects of society that negatively impact women; but the relationship sphere is not among those. The vast majority of women have incredible levels of choice and freedom when it comes to relationships. They have essentially free reign in the dating market and usually hold all of the cards. They can, and do, choose to live their dating/relationship life however they…

While this is an exaggeration, I am still going to say it to illustrate my point. "You don't need to eat food, you can just try other hobbies instead! If you have picky tastes, why do you continue to waste your time with that whole eating thing? Just play videogames instead!" Obviously eating and having a relationship are not equally important, but the principle is the same. You can't honestly expect someone to just "forget" a natural inclination or deep desire simply because they haven't had su…

I bet there are a few things going on here. #1, at the beginning of a relationship men enter with an incredible (and unsustainable) level of enthusiasm. They are incredibly attracted to their female partner in a way that women are not attracted to men. Men have higher sex drives and are generally speaking the initiators, they spend a lot of time trying to "win over" a woman. This requires a a high level of constant effort and dedication that is based largely on lust/desire, a lust /desire that f…

Why did you even ask this question? The answer is painfully obvious. They don't "go their own way" because they clearly want a relationship with a woman. Humans, well at least men, are biologically hardwired to crave intimacy with the opposite sex. Plus. studies show that most men are far better off in their lives if they are in a long-term relationship with a woman (women don't really desire/need/become better off with men in the same way which is partly the reason why there are so many "red pi…

The fact that you can't fathom this incredibly obvious reality for many males shows you are out of touch and have no frame of reference to understand. Essentially all women are deemed attractive in one way or another. Even if a woman doesn't want male attention, she will usually get it, even from awful guys. From your frame of reference, one must "always be an option" because almost all women have plenty of options in a partner, it's not hard to technically find one (even if the choices are poor…

You are saying this that are totally true, but don't you find it a little ironic that you are accusing him of deflecting the issue to women when you are doing the same thing in reverse? No, it clearly does lol. Being unwanted inherently makes them not only "less of an option" but not an option at all. It's not about these guys being unwilling, it is that they are unable. They are not an option if nobody wants them. What are you not understanding about this? I have summarized your position and asked you to clarify, now you try to summarize my position. I am sure it happens, absolutely, but it is exceedingly rare (especially in comparison to the other way around). Men do find most women attractive, so you are just not correct. Even objectively less attractive women are not "invisible" to the vast majority of men. The fact of the matter is a lot or even most men are not only "invisible" to women, but are seen as actively revulsive. You cannot conflate the two situations, they are clearly not the same. I'm not really sure what you mean by that. If I understand the comment I was responding to correctly, you seem to think all men "have options" or that all men represent likely options for women. Not sure if you meant that or not, but I disagree with that. A lot of men are totally undesirable by essentially all women. This is not an insignificant number of men, if you remove cultural bias and heteronormative influences, it might even be a majority of men (I tend to believe it is).

You are disproving your own point. "Men keep telling (you) that they find pretty much all women attractive" yet they are still unable to find a relationship. These men are alone, not because they chose it, but because they are simply unwanted and undesired by essentially all women. Men can "chose" women all the love long kday, it's meaningless if they aren't chosen back. Nearly all women would be "chosen back" if they wanted it, a massive percentage of men would never be chosen back. Women chose…

I'm not saying you or anyone has to wait on women hand and foot lol. Nobody owes anybody anything that way. I was just pointing out the (imo) obvious reality if imbalance and why it is the case. You are bringing in sociological arguments and things you want to be true based on how you want society to function. I'm not talking about what I want, I'm talking about what is. You are crossing between what you want and what is and don't seem to be acknowledging the difference.

Oh, I totally agree that men are important for society at large. I'm not saying women don't need men from a general societal perspective. That's not what I was talking about though. We don't live in a communist or socialist state where everything has to be done for the benefit of the whole. We, rightfully, live in an individualist society. In what way? I have given actual data points (well I spoke of the data points not directly stated the numbers because I don't think links are allowed) that suggest men benefit far more from relationships with women than vis versa. Plus it just makes logical sense. Emotionally, sexually, socially, men want women a lot more than women want men. That seems like common sense imo. We also see the result of this with women's "standards" as we are discussing. If women truly were that desperate, they wo…

That really doesn't pass the sniff test my guy. If it was based on "gaining" then these women would simply stay with the husband and have even more. It's not about gain, its about the fact that women want to get divorced more. They don't value relationships as much in a lot of situations and are often better off single. Men meanwhile, are more willing to "settle" and are content and happy even if a relationship is not "perfect." Most relationships for men a re still a net-positive for their live…

You are going off of anecdotal evidence that is simply not representative of reality. I'm not sure if we are allowed to post links here, but just look at the studies on this very question literally all over the place. They support what I am saying. I mostly agree and I highly value individualism and individual freedom, but everyone should know the difference between standards and preferences. For example, you may prefer someone with a particular shade of brown hair, but if you meet someone with a slightly different shade, are you going to immediately turn them down? If one cannot physically be attracted to someone with a certain hair color/style, then ok, that's how it has to be. However, for most people, a lot of preferences would not act…

The facts just are not there to support you. Men gain far more from relationships than women. Beyond the studies that directly say this, just look to the divorce statistics which you are probably very much aware of.

It's not necessarily "different" than most of what you said, its a different way of looking at it. The difference is that she won't be "mad" about not getting her top 20-30% man. She may be disappointed, but it won't cause her nearly enough disappointment to warrant lowering her standards. The difference between men and women in this regard is that most men are perfectly content with an "equivalent value" (again, I don't like this phraseology but its the best I got right now) woman while women m…

I don't think that way of looking at it is helpful. I think of it this way: a "50th percentile man" (as if it is that easy to judge value, but just for the sake of discussion) is perfectly content if he can get into a relationship with a 50th percentile woman. That man will likely find her attractive and is statistically likely to have a significantly improved life by being in a relationship with her. A "50th percentile" woman, meanwhile, does not feel the same way towards a 50th percentile man.…

Again, it's not about "balance." Nobody is telling women they need to improve in that way because they don't. In general, women are already desirable, attractive, and make men's lives better if they get into a relationship with one. The same is not true the other way around. There is no reason for improvement when they can already get what they want and are perfectly content, happy, and successful by simply refusing to lower their standards or settle. Were I in their shoes, I can't imagine doing…

It's not about caring, this is just how it works. This is essentially just supply and demand capitalism as applied to dating. The only reason it used to be different was as a result of patriarchal repression of women in general. That's not good for anyone.

All true, but the number of "ugly women" is far smaller than the amount of unattractive men. " Ugly women are not getting love; ugly women are not getting respect; the only thing ugly women are getting is grown ass men that behave worst than her children that treat her better!" Perhaps true, but there are relatively few of these women you speak of.

This lol. This is such an obvious concept, I am flabbergasted by the fact that so many people fail to grasp it. The women on these pages seem to demonstrate this a lot. They want to ignore everything the other gender has to say simply because women also have topics they want addressed.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/24 06:54 PM

They are not equally significant, at all. They should not be considered equally significant. But that doesn't mean you should simply ignore the less significant issue. Being shot by a gun is far worse than getting punched in the face, but that doesn't mean its acceptable to all go around punching each other lol. So many people are addicted to false dichotomy's and playing a zero sum game. Far too many women want to ignore any man's perspective or struggle just because women also have struggles.

I really think "I'm all for it" is a pretty awful way of looking at it, as if anyone should be "all for" men not being desirable partners (leading to disappoint for women and deep sadness for men). But the rest of what you said, yeah, unfortunately for everyone that makes a lot of sense. Its hard to deny tbh. Even your caveats are not massive as women can get arguably better sex not in a long-term relationship with a man, most women are bisexual anyway. They can also adopt children or use donors…

Indeed. However I would not say that the men left behind are "overwhelmingly" believing that to be the solution, in fact I think it is far from that, but it is certainly a very vocal group. It just makes logical, sociological, and biological sense why a large percentage of men are simply not desirable (for a relationship, ). it is totally reasonable to be frustrated and saddened by this it but to lash out against women and reality itself is bizarre.

I'm honestly surprised it hasn't caught on as much here already. In a way it has, just not in an organized way. It's a sad, depressing reality but the fact of the matter is, a lot of women are generally better off not in relationships with men. The majority of men are not attractive and women can find fulfilling lives outside of relationships as studies have shown. Studies also show that men are far better of in a relationship, which is part of what makes this all so unfortunate. Furthermore, ot…

It sounds like you answered your own question. A lot of guys know they are deeply unattractive (for a variety of reasons, including plenty of legitimate reasons and also some shallow ones) to women and have an incredibly low likelihood of ever having a meaningful romantic relationship. This is a very sad, depressing, and frustrating realization. This frustration and sadness is totally warranted actually. However, a lot of people react to realizations like this by lashing out. For some people who…

I don't think anybody would describe me as the angry one in this dynamic lol. I didn't call you any of those things, you are ascribing those derogatory statements to yourself. No, its quite clear that I know how to debate. Incorrect again. You chose to ignore my arguments as soon as you felt the slightest bit insulted. It didn't matter that you clearly misunderstood what I was saying; a misunderstanding which I then clarified, including with an attached apology (granted not a particularly grand apology considering I don't think I owe it) for using a style of argumentation that hurt your feelings. There is so much wrong with what you said its kind of hard to begin responding lol. The Dobbs case was just that, a court case. That is just clearly ridiculous. Sure you have religious types who want all women to be holy virgins, but such sentiment are rapidly dwindling in America and the West. I'm not shedding any tears over the decline in this type of religiosity either. No, most men do not care if the women the date have sexual or romantic history. It's almost like society and political or cultural issues are complex and nuanced. It's almost like there can be many causes and areas that should be addressed. "You don't need empathy from others (you're not going to get it)" You and the other people you speak of are incapable of showing empathy? Or is it just nobody is capable/willing to show empathy specifically for men? I would believe either one at this point tbh.

I don't know what else you want me to say here. You look at the things she's saying and don't see an issue. You don't see disdainful statements as insulting. Clearly our views of empathy etiquette, etc are not the same. We are not going to agree if we fundamentally don't value the same things.

I am not saying women don't like their male partners, they probably often don't but not always. Its just at the end of the day, the "leverage" (if you want to call it that perhaps there is a better, less pejorative word) I described is till logically present. The fact that women have historically tended to to "take a back seat" in the ways you mentioned only furthers my point. Women often have no reason to be in a relationship with a guy, it often only detracts from their lives as you describe. …

I totally understand all of that. Just out of curiosity though, and I understand if it is the case for you, is there really that narrow limitations on what you find attractive? Like from my perspective, I honestly think the vast majority of women are physically attractive and very beautiful. Some are no doubt more attractive than others but for the most part, I think most women are good looking. I kind of thought most guys were the same way tbh. /r/PurplePillDebate17/03/24 12:48 AM

It's not misandrist to state reality. Women, in most cases, hold far more of the leverage in relationships. This is simply basic common sense. Men get more out of relationships than women do (statistically proven time and again), women file for divorce far more as compared to men, men are more attracted to women than vis-versa, etc. etc. If women don't find the "right" male partner (generally the top 20-30% of men) they can simply walk away. Women are better off single than being with an average…

And women's tastes happen to be FAR more picky compared to men. There is nothing inherently wrong about that and it makes perfect sense biologically, societally, and practically. It's not women's "fault" in any way that they have legitimate standards than many men fail to reach. But at least be honest about it and stop trying to conflate situations that are demonstrably different. Women and men, generally speaking, are not the same level of picky when it comes to relationships. You are lying to …

I mostly agree, but everyone should know the difference between standards and preferences. For example, you may prefer someone with a particular shade of brown hair, but if you meet someone with a slightly different shade, are you going to immediately turn them down? If one cannot physically be attracted to someone with a certain hair color/style, then ok, that's how it has to be. First of all, all the people rating themselves as 10/10 as well as the girl who would so easily rate herself as higher than another person is all really tacky and self-absorbed behavior. More importantly, and what I think your post is really trying to get at, is this idea that the "sisterhood" of women is turning everything into a genderized conflict. This will probably be removed because I am a guy, but I feel like the answer is really obvious. If you are actually in a good relationship with someone, you can be honest. Tell him you are attracted to him but really want to be even more attracted to him. You think that will happen if he works out a little bit. I find it hard to imagine this wouldn't at least be a little motivating.

Alright, if you say so. Nothing about that really makes much sense to me on any level, but whatever I guess. I personally cannot fathom the thought of rating myself a 10/10 on anything, even if I was a 10/10 (decidedly not he case). It sounds absurd, tacky, and super self-absorbed to me. Interesting thoughts, there is probably some truth here. I think a lot of men hate their appearance or don't really care about it at all. Fair enough, but if a guy did the same thing, and called himself a 10/10 when he clearly was not, would you have the same reaction? I can respect that. I'm sure its hard for everyone to find true compatibility. Thing is though, there would be countless guys who I am sure would not lose interest, but you would not be interested in them; nobody is. That is where the dynamic is different. Ok, that I do believe now. It's not that you don't have interactions, it's that they're not successful ones. You don't like the guys you match with. Not that you are wrong to, I bet they are mostly unattractive, weirdos, or jerks. At the same time, you should realize that most guys don't even get that. They can't even get a match or an interaction from a woman at all, much less a successful one. It sucks for all unattractive people, but it's clearly harder for men.

You don't seem to be using the word "average" correctly for this context. Women don't want an "average" (median/50th percentile of men) man. If a 50th percentile woman does not land a 20th or above percentile man, she is better off remaining single or dating another woman than "settling" for an "average" guy.
