Awalt is a threshold which is different for every woman

There are unicorns but the whole point is that there are so few and far between. My grandma is one, the most loyal and family loving person I've ever met.

Yeah I agree with your post. Maybe I have confirmation bias because I want to eventually have kids and I realise a marriage is the best way to foster their upbringing. I see parallels between r/atheism and r/trp sometimes. I remember all the posts of 'ha look how retarded this Christian is' that eventually flooded the subreddit. Not that different from AWALT in extreme cases. Ive seen enough bad relationships to start to understand the drawbacks of marriage, although I would be lying if I didn't…

Yes I agree. I've known about equal measure of men and women who've cheated on their partners. People at the end of the day really will shock you with their disregard for morality.

I understand this is just one example but I thought it was worth posting as I have had some discussions with members in the past about sleeping with taken women. Now I personally believe this to be a question of honor and respect but understand that others see it differently. I wanted to post this to see the community's thoughts on this issue. Obviously we have some members who are of the belief that nothing is off limits and if they don't do it, someone else will. I do not subscribe to this bel…

The thing that I think a lot of people who read this stuff miss is that guys are just as likely to fuck a young, hot broad if given the chance. Human beings are notoriously bad at monogamous relationships as soon as another opportunity presents itself. The fact is most guys just don't get this opportunity. Too many posts feel like this whole 'woe is man' attitude when in reality just as many relationships are fucked over from a man cheating as a woman.

It seems the general consensus is that it's okay to do this, as if it isn't you, it's someone else getting to hit that. Let me offer an alternate opinion. How do you view a woman who knowingly sleeps with a married/attached man? How will this affect your friends perception of you (especially those in relationships)? Could this guy find out and cause you trouble? 'If you don't do it someone else will', is a slippery slope argument for what I believe is essentially the wrong thing to do. I know gu…

Seriously? That's like saying being abused at a young age or being subjected to propaganda can't change you. Of course it can, and it has been documented in many psychology studies.

So do exactly what you hope you partner wouldn't do to you? That's a dangerous path to tread.

Sorry you feel that way. This is one thing that worries me about marriage. Assuming you want a kid, marriage is the best way to foster a positive upbringing for the child and to make sure they grow up to be a balanced adult. However, let's say the average guy who gets semi lucky would marry at 28 to a girl who is 22. 10 gears into your marriage she is 32 and you 38. How do you deal with the all the missed opportunities? I feel no matter how much you love a woman, biology still makes you want to …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
