Yes exactly, subconsciously they start to antagonize us. I think it affects their ego, I saw examples with introverted and attractive friends in college, they start to antagonize guys and call them names out of nowhere.

Man, but I believe that a good part of the blame lies with culture too, since Western men cannot take care of themselves, take care of their skin, facial symmetry, etc... This destroys one of our aspects of attraction that leaves us at a disadvantage in the overall picture. Another issue is that culture greatly undermined female desire in addition to promoting what is or is not well seen in a man. But other than that I agree with you.
