I would be very interested in hear this talked about again 10 years later and seeing if he has changed tone at all.

Good point about prostitution. I think it’s often overlooked that the actual “getting off” is only a piece of the puzzle in the reasons men pay for prostitution. There is a reason there is “by the night” available and it’s not always because it’s going to be a sexual binge. There are a lot of lonely dejected men out there.

This hits home so hard. I grew up with my Mom abusing everyone in the family including my Dad and EVERYTHING was about keeping mom happy and calming mom down. I just can’t relate AT ALL to the narrative about men being pushed everywhere. In my life it’s been all about keeping woman happy and giving woman what they want. Sorry to hear you’re struggling with some of these same feelings. I get it can be lonely. I realized about a year ago all of my male friends have fucked up moms in common and tha…

Not only real but I think a lot of men like myself are so use to it we don’t even see it as a problem. I didn’t realize what a problem this was until recently. Sadly a lot of my realization has come from my wife and her friends. The things I hear some of them say are straight up disgusting and just factually wrong. The worst part is that when I’ve heard enough and I won’t stand for it anymore I speak up with facts. The response is almost always “you can’t understand”, “We don’t care about those …

I agree with what you’re saying here for sure. Anecdotal evidence is no evidence at all. I was merely compelled to share my experience. I don’t think it actually proves anything. That being said because of my experience I can’t imagine a world in which men abuse woman more then woman abuse men. Still, you are right. At the end of the day my experience means nothing and I much prefer real data to justify positions. Thanks for the reminder to stick to the fact even if I’m emotionally invested in s…

If you have the clear data on all forms of abuse then I would be glad to see it. Otherwise I would stand by the above comment. I was severely abused in childhood by multiple woman in multiple settings in multiple ways. Unfortunately a lot of my male friends were as well. I will happily say I have never been physically abused as an adult by woman. Something I am very thankful for. I attribute this to the lack of physical power woman have over me at 6” 220lbs All humans when given power over peopl…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
