I used to believe that being a helpful friend would eventually earn me a relationship. I was wrong about that. I've always scored very high in my Maths exams throughout high school. I used to spend time with some of the girls, tutoring them to get better grades. There was one girl who i fancied and we spent countless hours in the summer studying Mechanics; using my bedroom window and a whiteboard marker. She was then able to go to university to study Physics. She never had a romantic interest in…

I'm gonna step in here. You are the product of your parents. Your Dad is naturally attractive to women, and therefore couldn't impart solid advice to you - fair. You are your Father's son. Maybe you are naturally attractive to women too and were it not for you going around opening the Pandora's box of the Sexual Marketplace, you could have remained ignorant too.

She's not wrong. She doesn't know you, and she doesn't owe anyone anything. It's also okay to do that vice versa. You don't owe anyone anything. This is why women are super lonely yada yada etc etc. We already know this. We have spent a long time evaluating this and coming to this conclusion. Go live your life, and stop looking over your shoulder to see if the world has changed its mind.

Dude, I'm sorry about the pain you're going through. However can you really call yourself a MGTOW for four years reading all these horror stories and not have thought about having some contingency measures/ vetting standards in place before you met these strangers on the internet? I actually went over to a feminist subreddit here to see what the response to the draft would be. It seems to be a mixed bag of: "Yay! We are all for equality" "No! We don't want anyone to be drafted" "Sure, but first get rid of female mistreatment in the army" Then there's loads of squabbling about the fact the article is based in the US, and some of the commenters from Australia are annoyed they didn't specify that in the title and then the argument becomes about that and so on and so forth

Let's move past this alpha/beta stuff. Human relationships are way more complicated than this simple dichotomy of male strategy. Your situation probably didn't start off this way. It probably seemed like a reasonable setup at the time, and then through "death by a thousand cuts", turned into the insane shit you wrote about in your post. Nobody signs up to this crazy ass shit from the get go, it all sorta happens gradually as you make concessions. Ergo, don't be so hard on yourself, but you're mu…

My biggest gripe with feminism is the impact it's had on dating. It's a common fact that something like 88% of women on Tinder give likes to only ten percent of men. What attributes do those men have? The men at the top possess three key characteristics: 6 packs, 6 figures and 6ft of height. This wouldn't be a problem for me, (despite not being 6ft tall), were it not for the fact I'm outraged by the following: Feminism is meant to be about acceptance and dismantling the patriarchy. It is prejudi…

I don't think i can write a comment that conveys just how much sarcasm i want to employ so i'm going to be literal. I don't want these people to be informed about my existence. I don't want these people to address my problems. They never gave a flying fuck about me before, and the only reason they do now is because it's lucrative. Look at this flag. Yo, you can hit up that article here. This is the opening paragraph This story sounds mean. It's about a girl judging a boy because he's a nerd (like so many of us!) that she met on OkCupid. But that's the point: Judging people on shallow stuff is human nature, and the magic and absurdity of online dating is how immediately and directly it throws that into relief. One person's Magic is another person's fingernail biting, and no profile in the world is deep enough to account for that. Take fr…

This is the man's fault. It's obvious this all happened because he wasn't communicating effectively with his wife and that lead her to doing things she obviously regrets. I think about this: on one hand: Is masturbating really an essential aspect to human existence, so much so that to not do it could have life changing consequences? On the other: a lot of different species of animal out there are really into getting their freak on in non reproductive ways too. (anal, oral, necrophilia, the list goes on)

Sit down one day and in front a sheet of paper, draw/ describe what your ideal life would look like There simply cannot be a woman in the picture/description because of my first step. You're right We spend too much time in the echo chamber analysing and reanalysing and the world is hella different outside than in our little machines. I was at the pub yesterday watching the matches and i overhead a group with some girls and some guys. They looked like work colleagues and they weren't saying anything remarkably suave and the guys weren't super sexy or anything, its just people having a drink at the pub getting cheeky with each other.

When i started my Red Pill journey, I became fascinated with loosely applying economic modelling concepts onto phenomena i was observing in the dating marketplace. I saw the Pareto Distribution (80/20 rule) and how that was getting worse as time went on (GINI coefficients). I knew it was only a matter of time before i read a data science post this well crafted on the subject. From the use of the Euclidean model, to the undeniably tight R\^2 Correlation coefficient, I knew we were onto something.…

Absolutely. Let me demonstrate the impact of only hearing one side of the story. Let's pretend you're living with your SO. You've had a falling out and she refuses to talk to you, giving you the silent treatment. She's obviously withholding affection, she won't open up to you, but you can sense an ambience in the house that something is wrong. I was chatting to a girl recently and the conversation moved towards books we were reading. She was reading this book (can’t remember the title) and I googled it and it was about a girl in an abusive relationship. Think of it like conquering territory. At the start you have an even split of the land but your adversary and you will be living on this same patch of land for a long time coming, so buckle up. In exchange for certain goods, you trade off some of yours. It’s cute at the beginning, apples for oranges sorta thing. However you discover there is a monopolistic situation emerging. Men who do not have something to really care about become more risk seeking. I have nothing to lose, why not take more interesting opportunities Some of those riskier propositions involve crime. At least with a family unit, the male is less likely to pursue super risk seeking opportunities - since his family getting hurt could be collateral damage. The question remains if friendships and community relationships offer the same deterring effect.

I thought one of the tenets of MGTOW was not to lump women as a homogeneous mass Correct. Abstract MGTOW essentially tells men to craft their own meaning to life outside of the framework laid down by society. However, people are not abstract. People may hold and express views about whatever they like. This means that a subset of MGTOW followers may lump women together as a homogenous mass. They will express arguments about the direction of society that are predicated on "lumping women together a…

Consciousness conflicting with subconsciousness. You might spend all day thinking about/wanting junk food, but you consciously know you should be on a diet. If we let our subconsciousness govern ourselves all the time, we would make terrible daily choices.

I was watching a video about a guy recounting how this is the highest form of existence. Apparently you're not wrong there.

I'm glad you're self observant enough to ask these questions, and now that you've asked them, i have to rummage through my mind to come up with answers to them. It's a fortunate thing for a man to be able to provide to someone who is grateful for it. He could provide at a baseline level of sustenance, giving you just about enough to make ends meet. Or he could be more ambitious and attempt to carve out a life where you have more in abundance. You play a role in this decision. If he feels secure …

Yes Bro! I got my apartment, I was diligently working at a Fortune 500 company and I had everything in my life on track. Is this really it? Wake up early, grind it out, try to find some stuff to do in the evening, cooking, maybe hit the gym I understand good routines bake a good life and stuff, but its pretty lame.

I have a bonsai that i became obsessed about. I repotted it and I'm fretting about whether it has taken to its new environment well.

I was reading this book, Lost Connections by Johann Hari. He gives an alternative explanation of the reasons why people (and he) fall into depression. We are told that depression is a neurological imbalance and think that we can treat this as a chemical problem by administering antidepressants. For some this may be true, however I'm willing to bet that a portion of those people simply have wider circumstantial issues that need addressing. In his personal experience, he observed that the SSRI's h…

Generally, people have responsibilities and purpose laid onto them. Their purpose becomes to hold all that up in place. I think a lot of people nowadays have nothing expected of them. I for instance have shirked a lot of responsibilities that would usually be expected from someone like me, I don't have any dependents. So how do I find purpose, well i have to create it (your second bit) In the above I was outlining a simple technique to trying to create that purpose.

Then you are the intended audience. I'd really appreciate it if you gave it a shot and let me know how you got on. EDIT: With the caveat of course that you don't do anything to compromise your mental health!

I cannot say exactly why purpose is so difficult to latch onto these days, but I believe it stems primarily from the destruction of the nuclear family. Purpose stems from necessity. A hammer's purpose is to hit nails. We need to hit nails to join pieces of wood together to create houses to live in. All purpose stems from a hierarchy of needs (Lookup Maslow's hierarchy of needs). Men have historically not had an issue in finding purpose, because we didn't have scalable solutions in place to solve…

This is tricky to reconcile in my head. China has done a good thing by censoring this group. The results will help preserve family units and would actually serve the interests of men (for a change) The issue here is that it was an authoritarian regime who did this. MGTOW wouldn't be willing to trade so many of its freedoms in exchange for the censorship of feminism.

This is a bit strong. Regardless of what stage of his journey OP is on, we should be crediting his achievements as he strives for self autonomy and not always commenting whether his wider circumstances are in line with "purist MGTOW principles"

It's really good to see you cooking buddy :) I used to use a service called SimplyCook that would send paste pots and seasoning over to you in the post. It was on you to buy the remaining fresh ingredients from the supermarket, which wasn't a problem since they were always generic goods. Its good to do for a little while because: You begin to have a broader understanding of the cooking process. Prep -> Simmer onions and harder spices -> Cook meat -> throw in veg -> cook carbs in parallel -> serv…

You won't be able to become a doctor without a degree, but I used to have some colleagues who flunked uni and moved straight away into getting a job as software developers. They started out as apprentices and eventually made it to senior and did it all without getting a CS degree

I probably have mommy issues. My Mother has openly declared she doesn't love me. It used to hurt. When you think about how that would make anyone feel, and you compound all the times in your life you fucked up your relationships, it can send your head in a certain way. From the moment I woke up to the moment I went asleep, I used to ruminate on the things I thought I did that could have caused all these catastrophic failures in my life; we are told from a young age that we bear the responsibilit…

even math and computer science courses can be studied on the internet for free. A lot of companies don't care where you got your accolades from, they just want you to do the job

You extrapolated the thinking here. A man who wants sex is not necessarily a man who "thinks with his dick 24/7". It's okay to feel wanted. If a man feels validated by his partner through physical intimacy, then isn't it kind of cruel to make a romantic partner wait arbitrarily for your convenience? "What about the other things i might do to make him feel wanted?" Fair point, but that all comes down to your value systems. Men derive more of their validation in physical intimacy means he will lik…

Sex is like food and water. If you have a lack of it in your life, then it will occupy your mind. Once you have abundance, you stop caring about it so much. It's still important, but you can focus on other things. I am confident there is food in my fridge, so its not the top of my worries at the moment.

Very few women I know have actually changed their tone towards me once I started accumulating material successes. I actually grew up thinking this would happen more than it really did. I never bothered staying in contact with the women who rejected me, since they rejected me.

Depends how you quantify labour. The statistic that more men die on the job than women found here https://www.arcoservices.co.uk/news/blog-article/-men-23-times-more-likely-to-die-in-the-workplace-than-women----shp-online, implies that men may take on more dangerous/risky work Risky work also pays higher. (Bearing in mind that statistic is taken in the UK, where gender equality is perceived as higher and more of the workforce work in the office) Does 5 hours of work on a construction site equal …
