First hand experience. Ex wife cheated and then abandoned the family. Instead of telling people the real reason we were getting divorced she told everyone she didn’t want to spend the second half of her life tethered to me. I had to go behind and tell people and her own family “no she cheated and left our family”. That’s an important detail to leave out. She wanted a soft landing and to protect her narcissistic narrative.

Hinge worked well for me. I’m currently dating a woman from my neighborhood. Our first date was as simple as meeting up to go for a walk. That’s about the lowest expectation date I could think of.

My ex wife is going through early perimenopause. She was also addicted to a game on her phone. She’s a completely different person than she was several years ago.. if I compare pictures side by side she doesn’t even look like the person I married. It’s all in the eyes. There’s just nothing there anymore.

Can I ask why you are the one moving out??

Un treated postpartum depression followed by early perimenopause and a midlife crisis destroyed my marriage and my family. She left us for greener pastures.

I waited 6 months after separation. She was gone and made it perfectly clear that she was not in love and tired of me. I’m seeing a very nice woman right now. She actually talks to me like a human and is attracted to me. Two things I haven’t had in years. If nothing else comes from it, I’m starting to realize I was never the problem.

If what you are telling us is true. It’s not you. It’s her. I can tell you from recent experience. Most women don’t in fact hate sex.

You’re probably right. I didn’t have that experience. I stuck up for myself and made her leave.

Make sure you are kind to him, his belly is full, he has clothes, and is safe. That’s all he needs right now.

Same. Open, honest communication is so important.

Oh man, I did this two weeks ago before my wife moved her stuff out of the house. I hid an entire album of pictures from 14 years ago. She was absolutely in love with me then. If I compare the pics side by side to recent photos of us together. Something clearly shifted. Whether it be motherhood or changes in hormones. I may never know.

Quite the opposite on my end. She left 80% of our shared belongings and forfeited over her share of the equity in our home. Everything’s mostly the Same in the house. I do miss the version of my wife that existed 6-10 years ago. This version left me solely responsible for a mortgage and family she deserted.

Newly divorced after 18 years together. My wife and myself had a good relationship up until the last several years. Early perimenopause, along with poor choices caused our marriage to end. More importantly, she hurt her own children’s lives. Perimenopause is a monster.

I had to double check to make sure I didn’t write this. Spot on.

I’m keeping my house for my son. He’s 7. I plan on letting the divorce dust settle and see how both of us feel about it in a few years. I love my house but am open to moving if it’s both our best interest. My 3% interest rate is also keeping us here for now.

Your divorce decree lets her move your children out of the county?

I went through this a few months ago. Wife cheated blah blah blah. She didn’t even shed a tear when we told our kids. The three of us were weeping on the floor while she walked out the door.

I’m in this mindset as well. I see women as still attractive but it’s ultimately met with the feeling of this isn’t worth the hassle.

I sold my original ring. Got 200 bucks for it. Used the cash to buy groceries for my son and myself. She bought me a new one for my 40th birthday last year. I threw it out with the garbage.

I’ve shared every single text thread from my soon to be ex wife with chat gpt. It has given me the correct advice every single time.

My soon to be ex is currently telling everyone we know that she’s leaving because “ she doesn’t want to spend the second half of her life tethered down to me”. I’m having to go behind her and tell the truth. She cheated, lied, gas lit, deflected, then bailed.

If things go south and she finds out you know. DO NOT MOVE OUT OF YOUR HOME.

Mid divorce. Married for 17 years. She got bored and didn’t want to be tied down to our family. She left me everything. The kids, the house, the dogs.
