Do you still have to pay Child Support with 50/50 custody??I'm in TX and have 50/50 and I have to pay what's called "Income Differential" Child Support (or something like that) because I had high income and she low income In TX, 3 kids is 30% Net Monthly Income Basically the math works out to I pay 30% of my income to her and She pays me 30% of her income to me. You take the difference and that's what I pay her monthly. | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/05/23 07:54 PM
Losing my mindEver person online going through a divorce: My Ex WaS a NaRcIsSiSt. Lots of people need labels and summaries to move on because we live in a short attention span culture. Once the dust settles from the shock of divorce, you will be able to look back with a clearer lens. You will begin to see where the relationship was great and where it could have been better. As long as you can see your own faults and work in those areas, you will be better for it. You already are taking the right steps by aski… | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/07/21 12:31 PM
That’s it?I compared it to experiencing the death of a loved one who was suffering from cancer. You’re not happy about it, but the suffering is over and now you can work on grieving the future you thought you had with her. The next few months will be up and down, but you will make it through. | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/01/21 03:42 PM

Wait till the need arises and make a list on your phone, google docs, wherever you track stuff. Rank things by want/need levels. Buy when feasible or by need level. No need to pile on to any divorce debt you've most likely acquired. If people come over and see you don't have decor... they understand if they know your story.Don't try to buy things to impress anyone or prove s… | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/11/20 02:02 PM |
TX- a few questions, looking for opinions and experience.Texas 50/50 here. 3 kids, no spousal support. They did an income differential Child Support Basically factor if she was paying you child support on her salary. Then factor you paying her Child Support on your salary. Then take the difference and adjust for you paying their insurance. Health insurance doesn't factor in dollar for dollar if I remember correctly. Keep in mind that medical coverage will probably go up every year... Sucks, but thats the way it is. Document that she isn't paying her h… | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/09/20 01:34 PM
Appraisal tips anybody? This was my experience, but I bet this varies based on states/counties.. There is a chance you will have to get 2 appraisals. 1 now during the divorce preceding to determine how much equity is split between the 2 of you. Then you will sometimes have to get another appraisal once the divorce is final and you cash-out refi to pay her the equity plus get her off the title as well as the current mortgage loan. For a divorce appraisal, I found they were way more detailed about the appraisal compared … | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/09/20 01:21 PM
