This is also worth reading for a surprisingly rare sense of perspective: Everyday sadists: Inside the mind of an online troll She tweets on the train during the long trip to work across Sydney, about the weather, or the threat of bushfires or the joy of homemade banana toffee and pie crust ice cream. About the "filthy immigrant scum" living in the city's west or the women politicians she dubs "dirty whores". She's written worse online – some of which cannot be printed here. About feminist "slags…

Let he who is without the desire to whack an annoying child with a tree limb, cast the first stone! -Lebeaticus 9:9 I'm not saying that kids should be beaten. Sometimes, kids need a whopping though. Kinetic education!

I prefer to think no one cares. As much as it would be vindicating to see Anna get charged because the police want to send a message that faking this stuff is not ok, it would be better in my eyes if they asked "Wait, who are you?"

I think you have to allow a bit of wiggle room for the violence here. Shows have to exaggerate the violence to make the point. Otherwise you might argue that Looney Tunes cartoons promote animal cruelty or action movies promote violence against everyone. It's fiction, take the extent of the violence with a grain of salt.

I think a boy being told he looks/acts like a girl, or a girl being told she looks/acts like a boy, can be taken as an insult not because of some perceived dislike of the other gender, but because the target is being told something that contradicts with their own idea of who they are. I don't think this in a gendered issue, I think this is an issue that uses gender as an example. Try using the same insult with a racial connatation instead. "Hey Jim, you walk like a black guy" Now do we think Jim…

No, they take my yacht, which has soaked up my entire fortune in repairs and maintenance. Assuming the reason I'm dead isn't because I crashed it while drunk.

I'm leaning towards not getting married or having children and just pouring money into a yacht instead. Even if it sinks I figure I'll come out ahead, and I don't even know how to sail!

Never claimed to be. Same as most subs. Posting pictures of burgers and cakes on diet and health food subs was fun for a while though.

I enjoy that time machine that this old articles presents. Look at this image of Miley Cyrus showing skin to get attention, look at how she's dressed! July 2013 was an age of innocence.

Mother Nature was in a meeting with Father Time, I suggest we try lobbying Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny as an alternative.

I just had the best mental image of a girl talking to a guy in a bar and she suddenly gets crash tackled to the floor by some guy dressed up as a white knight while he screams "NOOOO!!! You could get raped!". Then he tells her to go home and sew get vagina shut, because rape is a men's issue and we need to do everything we can to stop it. /s

I would think that people base their self worth on their own successes and failures in relation to those around them, their peers. For example, if all of my group of friends growning up go to college and become doctors/lawyers/engineers and I instead become a mechanic, do you think that my earning significantly less money than them may lead me to look at my life negatively in comparison? I think the study might be suggesting that some men take a hit to their self-esteem when they are unable to f…
