Online dating is rigged from the start though and is not the way most people who are serious about long term relationships meet. Online dating also largely attracts women who are picky about superficial things and men who are desperate because it is in the financial interest of the app to market itself to these people. If you actually ended up with someone they would lose a customer. Their algorithms are literally designed to try and prevent people finding long term partners.

Men being interested in shallow and surface level details is the reason why most relationships fail. Women starting to do so more doesn't help but to blame them is pure hypocrisy. At the end of the day most of the relationships that actually last are formed between people who already know each other and have an emotional or intellectual attractions. Obviously you can build that up but relationships based on appearance or sex are unlikely to survive your 40s or 50s unless you happen to chance int…

Fair enough. I was mostly going off my personal experience. I couldn't speak to how common it might be.

Well yeah it is misogynistic to say that. I largely agree with you but its a problem with both parties far more than with anyone. Beyond anything its pretty trivial to find a date as a guy if you are invested in building the more important parts of a relationship first. For the most part it is men who won't address those problems in themself ending up with women who also won't address it and wondering why relationships don't work when no one is putting in anything more than sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 06:30 PM

Have you never gotten a random boner when you weren't aroused by something? If you wake up with morning wood it doesn't mean you want to fuck your bed. Its the same thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 12:38 PM

Its not exactly rare for men to also display non-concordance if slightly more uncommon than with women. Random boners and the like etc. In Humans the arousal we feel and physical arousal in our body are completely independent from each other biologically.

I'm not sure you can really blame women for treating dating more like men always have done. Almost everything you have brought up is worse in men.

First Incel of the day found. Go touch grass and then read a fucking anthropology textbook. You are so delusional that its not even worth adressing it point by point. Even in the last milenia women were treated as slaves and openly bought and sold on the market in many cultures and this is something near universal if you look back far enough. When the average women was being sold upwards of 3 times in her life I can't understand how you can even begin to claim that it wasn't a patriarchy.

Its fine. The post is likely a provacteur of some kind. Either way they will have bots to downvote this kind of stuff. Its a classic tactic used to to try and demonise movements in the online age.

This is possibly the worst take I have ever seen. Its lies like this that causes the movement to lose its credibility and is the reason why the media doesn't take us seriously. I am going to assume that you are just deluded and not a feminazis provocateur trying to get us cancelled and answer honestly but lets be honnest you probably are just a feminazi. 1) The general portayal of gamers as losers was not propegated by women. It was the generally supported position of mainstream culture pushed b…

I mean statistically if you decide to fight and don't have a criminal record you have a 50:50 chance of getting your children but the divorce rates are worryingly high. It suggests that there still exists a pressure on women to marry at a young age before they have actually had time to discover what they want.

More importantly, they lose me when they say that the old "script" for men has been torn up "for good reason." This especially needs elaboration, what "male script" was harmful and needed to be destroyed? I would have thought he meant the traditional expectations that men achieve financial success, but those are still in place. The traditional concept of success was the nuclear family with a stay at home wife. Thats the specific script that has been ripped up by encourage women to exercise agenc…

We don't have a clear definition of what a person is " a being is a person if they're a moral agent, making moral judgements and taking moral actions " or more simply if you are sapient. That is for the purpose of such debate the excepted definition and the one round which my arguement is based. So let the person who where there only one to have a say in the matter and as such the only person pay for it; the mother. Her body, her choice, her responsibility. The mother does not have a say in the …

And not to mention, Women literally PREFER to date men who earn more than them. So if anyone is to blame, its women&their dating preferences! Yeah thats literally how a patriarchy works. Its societally enforced. It changes peoples preferences and expectations.
/r/MensRights16/10/22 05:16 PM
1

And why is that? I'll tell you why, Society doesn't give a shit about men. This has nothing to do with "patriarchy". Patriarchy can almost be defined a system in which men do not have an inherent value but can instead freely determine their own value through work. That leaves a lot of detail out but its still a common core feature. >Feminist garbage. If a husband died, did the mother&sister become the property of the 10 yr old son in the house? Depends how far back you are talking and exactly wh…

Either sex isn't consent to parenthood for either men or women, or it is for both of them. Which is largely what is the case. Once a child is born then the mother and father get equal responsibilities. The only exception comes with abortion. Since banning abortion would violate a persons right to bodily autonomy I can't see any justifiable reason to ban it. I guess technically you could make it so if either parent didn't want the child it would be forceable put up for adoption. That would work t…

Why? I am genuinely interrested in how this can be justified? The idea that the father would get a say in an abortion is fundementally contraditory to the argument of why abortion should be allowed.
/r/MensRights16/10/22 05:27 AM

If the child's needs take precedence over the father then it should also for the mother and abortions should be illegal. Thats a very philosophical question but I can try to explain at least the basis of my opion fairly quickly. A fetus isn't a person so its rights are superseeded by the right to bodily autonomy of a person. 2 A child is a developing person or has the potential to become a person so should have its development supported. Requiring that support from the mother and father does not…

Sounds like they're an irresponsible parent and the child should be put up for adoption. I generally agree with this statement though I would like to see large scale reform to the adoption system in my country before something like this went ahead. So you're saying a women knowingly and unilaterally brought a child into the world they couldn't support? Its often more complicated than that. If the father decided not to stay after they had sex then there wasn't anything the mother could do about i…

I mean statistically money is by far the biggest issue. After adjusting for household income there is virtually no difference between children raised in a single parent or double parent home.

To suggest that patriarchy exists is to suggest it even existed in the first place. That it existed in the first place is true beyond doubt. I don't really see how you could argue that in the recent past when women were considered to virtually always be the property of a man that this is not a patriarchy. Society advantages men how so? It is true that men are the top of the work ladder but don’t ignore that men are the bottom of the ladder as well. And the fact that men are ones in political and…

I would urge you to read about patriarchy because the soft power that women hold under it is absolutely addressed in any acadmic book you could read on the subject. This so called soft-power stems from a women's inherant value due to her objectification. Historically as the property of a man this power did not even belong to the women. However with agency now given to women they are able to exercise control over this power. This doesn't stop the power being a biproduct of patriarchy.

Most men still hold control over the wives in relationships. The easiest way to prove this is simply that in most cases men earn more than their wives which gives them a large degree of fiscal power over them.

The main problem with this is that it is unfair on the child as they have to be raised on a significantly smaller budget. Keeping the system like it is where both Mothers and Fathers have to support biological children is objectively the best model for the outcome of the child.

At its core patriarchy is to do with biology. It allows men to know who their offspring are so they can give advantages to their children. This necessitates having a large degree of control over women you sleep with which is what requires you to be the bread winner, strong one etc. If a man is expected to be tall and muscular, that's toxic masculinity If a man is expected to be the breadwinner, that's toxic masculinity If a man is expected to be strong, confident, emotionless, that's toxic mascu…

None of what I said was a lie. If you actually genuinely believe most of these things you need to go away, read some balanced sources and maybe actually get some life experience. >Women almost exclusively refuse to marry men of lower financial station thus ensuring that if they initiate a divorce, they will get alimony This alone should be easily disproven just by talking to any of your female friends.

Are you high? Matriarchal society don't make me laugh. You clearly don't understand what the word means. Matriarchal societies look radically different from the norm today. As a basic rule if marriage exists the society is going to be largely patriarchal.

No. There are tons of products with identical ingredients or which just have minor aesthetic changes. I actually did a survey in shops when I was younger and its taking the piss. Minor as this law may be letting companies get away with it was mad. Say what you will about other things in pollitics but stopping companies fucking people over is always fine by me.

I mean it is taking the piss when two identical products cost £10 different because one has a pink box and flowery writting. I'm not kiding about this either I did a survey in shops at school because I actually wanted to find out if it was true and the extent to which it occured. The ammount of items with identical ingreedient lists, or that when opened up differ by colour shade is stagering considering how extreme the price increase is compared to the minor aesthetic changes made. The law only applies to products with near identical manifacturing costs. If you can actually justify why its more expenive you can still sell it for a higher price. So to address your three points. Companies already charge as much as they can for products. They can't significantly raise prices without reducing sale volumes because they will just be outcompeted by the brands that stay low. This is the most likely outcome products without large differences will largely just become unisex This won…

Women can create debt their husbands are responsible for. And husbands can create debt their wives are responsible for, that is literally just how marriage works. Women demand equal pay but won't do equal work in professions of excessive difficulty, discomfort, and DEATH Equal pay for equal work is hardly misandry. And on the other side men are not forced to work better paid but more dangerous work. They choose to day that they could just as easily take the less well paid work. Women have made l…

Beyond the fact that most of what you said is demonstrably false. If sperm donor had to pay child support there would not be sperm donors. That negatively impacts women who want to have children far more than some guy who now can't earn a $100 for a quick wank.

I disagree with a lot of what you said almost most but you have really identified a core problem in the men's rights movement which is that the largest group oposing men's rights are other men. I will try to address a number of your points where I disagree however: You claim that this is a biological phenomenon is unfounded No its a social phenomenon there have been enough alternately structured societies historically to make that blatently clear. Breast cancer is largely genetic. Its not rocket science that people dontate more to something they know they have a high chance of getting in the future. Plus it does still impact men, whilst men have significantly less breast tissue if you are genetically susceptible you are still at an elevated risk.

Women do control their emotions though. Talking and expressing your emotions is how people keep their emotions under control. Supressing emotions actually stunts your emotional range and pushes you towards extremes like hatred and anger and often ends with negatives boiling over in more explosive events.
/r/MensRights13/10/22 03:16 AM

You have largely hit the nail on the head. How you express your emotions is largely irrelevant what is important is that you don't repress your emotions. You have to be introspective and make an effort to understand your emotions thats what is important. If you can do that by yourself good for you, if you need to talk it through with someone else thats also fine. You have to allow youself at least internally to be emotional. On the whole I would say its healthier to be open and honnest about you…

It comes down to basic biology. Supressing your emotion stunts your ability to feel and experience emotions as seperate things. How you express your emotions isn't important but its incredibly important to be introspective about your own emotions and understand them rather than repress them.

UK. For the most part men are still given more opportunites overall. Education - Private educations and univeristy fees are still more likely to be paid by parents for male children. To contrast this there are more bursaries for women at universities but this doesn't go all the way to addressing the difference. Jobs - Women that are hired and promoted are still significantly better than the male peers that move into the same position. (The extent to which this actually relates to opportunity is …
