If it was possible I think some women might choose the artificial womb option but others are choosing an abortion because they think that child shouldn't be born in the first place. Whatever the reason, the state does not have the right to choose for an individual regardless of what technologies exist. This is false though. The act of abortion, as it is today, is because it protects the autonomy of the woman. They can’t compel her to birth the baby. However, if technology existed that could birt…

The legal reason for supporting abortion today is that without abortion women lose their bodily autonomy. This is why abortion is a woman’s decision, and the man is (legally) not involved. But if we had artificial wombs and it was fairly straightforward to transfer a pregnancy from the woman to the artificial womb, then it’s no longer a question of bodily autonomy as the woman’s body is not impacted. Without the bodily autonomy justification, the current legal basis for supporting abortion goes …

Not really. You say "I see" as the basis for your data point, and I said that is anecdata. I notably didn't say you were wrong. I simply said your source of data is not relevant.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/04/26 02:31 AM

What you're talking about is called anecdata. The sources of information you choose to visit are not representative of the entire world.

Eh. Making more is not enough. Lots of men make a ton of money but aren’t getting women left and right.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/04/26 02:11 AM

The data also disagrees that women are making as much as men… they make about 20% less for the same role, on average.

Yeah, back then if a wife refused the sexual advances of her husband it was grounds for immediate divorce.

There’s a secondary side effect for artificial wombs, especially if you can transfer a pregnancy from a human to an artificial womb. Namely it completely negates the pro-choice abortion argument about bodily autonomy.

Unfortunately this is where the reality lives on both sides, and it feeds on itself. Men mistreat random woman. Social media says all men are this way. Woman feels angry toward all men. Woman mistreats random man. Social media says all women are this way. Man feels angry toward all women. GOTO START Basically we’ve got a fun loop where no one is taking accountability and the systems we’re in reinforcing that perspective.

Globalism is an interconnectedness at world scale, especially with speed. Basically, it used to be that peoples concepts of universe we constrained to their area, maybe their entire city, or their country. This was because going anywhere took a lot longer, so your separation of concerns made it not worthwhile to worry about what was happening, even across town. But now, you can literally be around the world tomorrow. Imports and exports did exist before, but that wasn't globalism as we call it t…

Capitalism drove globalization. We wouldn’t have bothered globalizing if we couldn’t make A bunch of money doing it. We had a whole bunch of other systems, feudalism, communism, etc. that didn’t push towards globalism (they couldn’t support it).
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/26 02:42 PM
5

Those things are definitely the outcome of capitalism. The point is that in the end for the first two, the person is the product. Dating apps sell access to potential partners, social media sells eyes to advertisers. That’s it. At-home entertainment, depends on if it’s ad driven, but it’s trending that way, similar to how cable went that way.

You’re kind of right, if we bring this back to the OP. The point being made by the OP is the funds the wife has access to is higher. The use of the term “wage” is misleading, I will agree, and the “separate value received” by the wife should be reduced by half since she only “gets” half of the amount. But she still benefits if her husband makes more than her. The fundamental argument being given is that when people complain about the unfair distribution of unpaid labor they are ignoring that the…

You can say that you have separate “pots”, but if you get divorced you’ll see that is all fake and the “pots” are made up. Asset division is 50/50 by default, the “pots” don’t matter. My point is that your experience does not match all experiences. There are some where the wife takes control of all the finances and spends them as she wants to. That you’ve never seen it isn’t evidence it doesn’t happen.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/26 12:02 PM

Maybe you don’t understand the concept of marriage. When you are married there is no longer the notion of “yours” and “theirs”. It’s joint ownership of all assets.

My ex-wife did. One of the reasons we got divorced was because, through therapy, I realized it was unreasonable that I couldn’t spend money without her permission and I set a boundary. She was not accepting of that boundary. I made 10x her income. In some cultures it is entirely normal, even expected, that the wife manage the house’s finances entirely.

If we acknowledge that people aren’t equal, we can make policies that acknowledge those differences. It’s not necessarily a policy question, but a cultural one. We can acknowledge that the differences between men and women’s perceptions one sex are different precisely because they’re not equal. The risk profile for them is different, which is not equality. We either decide that’s okay, or update policies and culture to enforce equality.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/26 07:38 PM
2

What you’re saying right now is that women and men aren’t equal.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 06:36 PM
3

I didn’t say equality is sameness. Equality would include equality of expectations. If you expect someone to behave differently because of their gender, then you don’t view the genders as equals.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 02:58 PM
5

If you want equality, then yes… fundamentally, if men and women were truly equal, they would act the same. That they act different is because they’re not equal. We either need to acknowledge that inequality and accept it (because there are biological differences we cannot change) or we need to have the same expectations for men and women.

Would you say I'm placing an assumption behind your words? Funny how you disagree if I do it, but it's okay if you do it to OP. This is exactly what OP is talking about in his post.

You didn't explain yourself. I ask where in OPs post he equated that "care = have sex". You didn't clarify that at all. There is currently no connection between your claim that OP thinks "care = have sex" and the information OP has given us. So either you understand a link that we're not seeing and you're refusing to explain it for some reason, or you're making an assumption about OPs meaning. I read your comment and OPs post several times. The connection you're making regarding "care = have sex" is not supported by OPs post. As I’ve said elsewhere, I think it’s information overload that shows up as a flood of optionality. Women have historically been the choosers of their partners when left to a choice amidst partners (ie: not arranged marriages), and they used to only be able to choose from those in their local community. Now they can choose from literally anyone, so many of them are holding out or trying for better choices than what they can find locally (and data is showing they’re not happy either, as they’re ha…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/26 01:19 AM

You’re completely ignoring a pretty big biological factor here. Mated pairs is one of the strongest bonds because of the security and survival bonuses it provides, especially around raising children. A lot of the need for men to succeed (have jobs and be able to support a partner) are based in biology and society is pushing them towards these as a solution. If that need (yes it’s a need) for a mated pair is not met, then you get outcomes like we have today. Or worse. It’s like you think the cont…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/26 01:00 AM

That’s totally normal. “I tried it and didn’t like it,” means they’re not going to consent to that activity in the future. There’s no confusion here, that’s just setting proper boundaries. Just saying that should be sufficient, and it’s up to the partner to either accept that boundary or end the relationship. The fact is, no one owes anyone anything. You can set your boundary on what you’re willing to do with your current partner. They’re also allowed to set a boundary that if you did something …

And guys here don’t understand the friendship part is extremely important, which is why they get accused of just wanting their dicks wet. It is important. The reverse of this is many women don’t understand sex important. Way more people would be dead by 18 if that was the case. You don’t understand what a need is. Look up Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, you’ll find sex is at the very base of the pyramid. (And funnily, friendship is somewhere in the middle)

A lack of immediate sexual attraction does not translate to being sexually adverse. Yes and no. The point is the entire worldview of these different categories of people are fundamentally different, decreasing the likelihood of compatibility, which decreases the likelihood of a successful relationship. Most people want an actual relationship and not a glorified fuck buddy, btw, For allosexual people, sex is a regular part of an actual relationship with a long term partner. A relationship without…

Pursuing an asexual or demisexual partner does not seem like a good strategy to get a partner you have a regular sex life with. I think you have a disconnect on what kind of relationship many allosexual people want. They want a partner that is willing to jump in bed with only them on a regular basis. An allosexual may be able to work with a demisexual if they’re meeting their partners emotional needs, and thus getting their sexual needs met in return. But a sexual relationship between an allosex…

“Don’t set yourself up with unrealistic expectations from porn, but it’s okay for me to read and build unrealistic expectations with romantasy because it’s fiction!” You know porn is fiction too, right? Your entire post is basically “men are bad, and it’s their fault they feel bad” and then you auto-ignore any comment on women by saying, “we already talked about that.” So, here, I’ll humor you. You are making an assumption without basis in your entire post. Normal adults still chase their fantas…

When someone has money and they use that as a measuring stick to measure others with, it turns others off. This is normal human behavior. You saying "I want someone with a similar lifestyle" will be a turnoff, because you have established a measuring stick, they have to make as much, or more, money than you to have your lifestyle. In addition it means, by your own estimate of you making in the top 10% in your country, you have eliminated 90% of the dating pool from your consideration. Now, add t…

I looked more for financial/lifestyle compatibility, I started dating seriously in my mid-20’s and am in my 30’s now, and wasn’t willing to sacrifice that because I know I’m not happy with people who are still on their grind or stuck at traditional 9-5s. I don’t financially contribute to my partners but my industry and social connections made our lives “easier” in general. There it is. You used it as a bar that other people must live up to. Not as an aspect of your life that you’re now sharing w…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/26 03:08 AM

It probably depends on how you present it. If you were flashy yet stingy with your money, then yes, it was probably a turn off. If you used it as a bar to hold others against, then yes, it was probably a turn off. If it was just, it made your life and your partners life easier, it should be fine.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/26 12:46 AM

This is a weird take and feeds into the “us vs them” narrative. The data also doesn’t support it, as women still pretty consistently date men that have not raised the bar. There is certainly a (very small, but very vocal) minority of women holding your stance. But it doesn’t help the overall problem, they just self-select themselves out of relationships. And the science supports that humans are built for connection, so fundamentally (except for a few outliers) your body/brain will not prefer tha…

I was more describing why dating apps are causing the experience you’re having. They are systematically setup to not encourage what you say you are after. Though, as I am male, it’s from the male perspective. I don’t have stats on how long men spend looking at a profile because it wasn’t relevant to me. I know how long I look at a profile, and it’s usually longer than 2 seconds. If most men are spending only 1-2 seconds per profile they’re probably missing out. Similar to how I feel about women …

You could try some of the other niche ones. Feeld is made for kink. There’s others like Boo or SoulGeek for techy interests, PolyFinda for folks that want poly relationships. There’s likely an app for everything.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/26 02:17 PM

Dating apps are actually the problem. People will go for the best they can find. They won’t want to be with someone “about their attractiveness” if they see opportunity for someone more attractive (and that’s not just physical, but dating apps tend to be very physical appearance in nature, I’ve read most women spend 8 seconds looking at a profile, and 2 seconds looking at a message). With dating apps the pool of people you see becomes massive, and so you see all these opportunities for better so…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/26 12:27 PM

Hmm, I’d not considered that. Really you’re looking at a lower volume alternative to something like hinge. You might consider one of the more niche dating apps. They will tend to have fewer people so the Elo algorithm won’t work as well. Though, usually that just means people give up on that app.

I don’t think the government would support this.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/26 12:15 PM

The problem is, as always, money. Elo is well understood, and is good at keeping attention. It was designed to make players in matchmaking games return to the game by giving them the right level of challenge so they’d enjoy it. For a dating app to make money, you need to have people paying to use it. If people actually succeed in finding long term partners, they’ll stop paying for it. You could invert this, make an app so good at helping people find good long term matches that people will pay up…

Biology supports that women will want sex. It’s almost as if sex is one of the most enjoyable things on the planet for most humans.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/26 11:35 PM

I think you and I are agreeing?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/26 03:03 PM

This isn’t as gendered a thing as you suggest. Lots of women have a bunch of sexual desire too. If you do go check out the DeadBedroom forum there are lots of women complaining their partners won’t touch them too. If you read stories about women lots of them involve women pursuing sex. So it’s down to that “not into their partner” bit, which is a question of why they are in that relationship to begin with.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/26 11:58 AM

These criteria basically suggest you don’t want a relationship. You don’t want to marry (which I get, having just gone through a divorce myself) You don’t want to have sex You don’t want to share finances or a home I know you’re not looking right now, and maybe I’m misreading, but it sounds like you’re just looking for a friend, not a partner.

What in society is causing OP to feel tormented? You answered this yourself. I think the torment is psychological and societal in that society disdains virginal men and he feels deeply inadequate b/c of it. This, this is your answer. If the friend is single you rush losing them anyway as they either find someone that is interested or stop trying. Why not just let them be your boyfriend and if it doesn’t work out treat them like an ex? I think the actual complaint here is that the Friend Zone, where a man wants to be more than a friend but a woman just leads him on about it, exists.

It’s usually illegal for the side effect of discouraging sex trafficking. Studies have shown it’s much more difficult to police trafficking if you can hide it amongst a bunch of legal prostitution. It being illegal also has a bunch of undesirable side-effects, such as you can’t regulate it to help control the spread of STDs and such.

A single woman can be impregnated by 10 men, it just takes longer. I’m simply saying that “because we might get pregnant” is not a valid reason to pick or not pick a sexual partner in 2025.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/25 01:14 PM

Right. The pregnancy is completely detached from the sex, a woman can have sex without getting pregnant and get pregnant without having sex. So why is pregnancy or value of the egg relevant in determining who to have sex with?

You can’t use an analogy to define reality, you can only use it to help describe reality. Yes, most women don’t want to fuck “any guy” and the point being argued is why? The answer typically given is “something something reproduction is expensive for women something something” and my argument is that women are in control of reproduction even if they have sex every day given the technology of the day, so that argument is not valid. Statistically there are more women than men. Try try again? And again, women can have sex without having children. We have the technology. It’s readily available. I don’t know why this is so hard to understand.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/25 01:15 PM

My argument is that there being less women that want to “just fuck around” because they’re afraid they’ll have a baby is irrational given modern birth control and access to abortion. Basically they can decide if they’re going to have a baby or not, in some cases even more so than a man can. Sexual freedom is one the main points of the feminist movement, and we have basically solved this problem with technology. The biggest risk now is really STDs.

The mental and emotional load is also made up and a result of their own standards. Why did your mom buy the clothes, groceries, furniture? Because she set the standard for those things. /r/PurplePillDebate12/09/25 06:21 PM
1

That’s arguably false. If you ignore consent, as you are doing, it’s easy for a man to have children. This is not me saying ignoring consent is good, but that you are taking the hypothetical too far to represent reality.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/25 05:30 PM
1

I'm pretty confident women aren't looking for mating partners that don't intend to take care of the children.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/25 03:00 PM
1

Again, I don’t think one guy will want to impregnate a bunch of women. You’re missing a key thing you’re assuming the guy is consenting to here.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/25 02:01 PM
1

But that is ignoring consent of the men… Which again… is what we’re all talking about here. Women are, for some reason, saying that their egg is more valuable than a man sperm. However, a woman’s egg is useless without a man’s sperm. This is based on them being selective about who mates with them and gets access to their eggs. But men can make the same decision and be selective about who gets access to their sperm.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/25 12:32 PM
1

Right, but that doesn’t say that men want to have children with more than one woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/25 08:38 AM
1

That assumes the men want to have children with more than one woman. As far as I’m aware, most men do not.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/25 03:52 AM
1

None of this makes sense. What are you trying to say? The 50 women that want children can pair up with one each of the 50 men that want children and everyone that wants children can have children.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/25 08:29 PM
10

Frankly, if women want equality then they need to stop expecting to be treated differently. No one cares about men and self harm. Why should anyone care about women and self harm?
/r/MensRights11/09/25 04:51 PM
8

The royal they and the royal we.
/r/MensRights11/09/25 04:10 PM

We don’t sell eggs or sperm, so they don’t have any monetary value. If you’re arguing that eggs and sperm have non-monetary value one is useless without the other, so their values are the same. The point is, the egg isn’t more valuable than the sperm, so it’s not clear why all this consideration matters.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/25 04:09 PM
21

If they start caring about self-harm in men and boys maybe then we’ll start caring about self-harm in women and girls?
/r/MensRights11/09/25 03:47 PM

Bringing a child into this world is more time, effort, and danger for a woman's body than it is for a man. I'm not denying that. This is why women have the choice to not have the child, and not the man involved. Given that choice, it's not clear why women are considering that cost in determining sexual partners. Sex is no longer just about procreation, it's now also about fun and mutual enjoyment. This was a big aspect of the feminism movement, to let women be in control of their bodies and for …
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/25 01:34 PM
0

Again, this is a choice women get to make. "My body, my choice." Women don't have to have a child when they have sex, they can just have sex. Why is "pregnancy is expensive and costly for women" a thing that matters given the woman can just choose to not have children?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/25 11:05 PM
0

To be clear, most relationships don’t result in procreation these days, and we can carefully control procreation now. So this entire argument is kinda moot.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/25 06:45 PM

Right, she’ll take what you offer and go higher. Start with 50/50 everything. Figure out your expected alimony and child support payments, and only offer that.
/r/Divorce_Men08/09/25 03:01 AM

I mean, you can say it’s non-negotiable for you, and get a TRO in that regard until the divorce is finalized. If this is a big issue for you and you want to push it, work with your lawyer on it. It will significantly delay your divorce, so you have to decide if that’s worth it.
/r/Divorce_Men04/09/25 12:55 AM

Again, if we had the stats you may be surprised.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/25 01:31 PM

Eh… I imagine if we had real statistics we’d find out this is not true.

Again, “the lowest types of males” is just your opinion. Those women may find value in those men you are dismissing.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/25 09:32 PM

It's actually easy for the average male to get into a relationship with a woman... I am also very confused by this statement. Do you have a different definition of average from average or is the experience of the average man wrong?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/25 04:33 PM
1

The difference here is you are expressing your opinion in a way that diminishes other people.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/25 04:32 PM
1

Sure… but they aren’t responsible for helping you in any way just because you’re the same gender. If they choose to tolerate/accept certain behavior from a man that’s their choice. Why do you care?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/25 02:02 PM
6

I think you’re missing the point on that last one. Is it okay for men to demand what you’re saying you’re not okay with them demanding if they’re rich, hot, fit, etc? If it is, maybe re-evaluate your stance, because that doesn’t protect women as you claim women should. A man being rich, hot, fit, doesn’t mean they can harm women. If it isn’t, why did you bring it up?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/25 01:59 PM
5

Eh… if the ex is dragging this out, then a harder stance needs to be taken, such as having a court assign a final hearing. @OP, why haven’t you or your lawyer asked the court to set a final hearing?

It costs money for them to do a background check on you?

/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/25 03:03 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/25 03:02 PM

So there’s a difference between “you have more female ancestors than male ones” and “lots of males don’t get to reproduce”.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/25 02:29 PM

No. Because your ancestors are those in your genetic line. At each level of ancestry you have exactly one male and one female. You seem to have a different ancestry pattern in mind that includes things like cousins and aunts, which are not your ancestors.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/25 02:15 PM
2

It does though. If you say you’re trans only on Uber, then arguably you are not trans.
/r/MensRights27/07/25 02:14 PM

Again, this only is true if one of your male ancestors mated with one of their female descendants.

They claim all participants are verified with a background check and selfie.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/25 12:50 PM

It becomes a question of pattern. ie: Are you self reporting as trans on Uber?
/r/MensRights27/07/25 12:50 PM

I’m curious about their business model. They claim they do a background check and individual verification of the uploaded selfie. For a free app that’s an incredibly expensive process, especially if they’re the #1 app.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/25 11:26 AM

This doesn’t make sense. You have exactly one male and one female ancestor in each level of your ancestry. So the only way what you’re describing could work is if the same men were in multiple levels of that tree.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/25 11:24 AM

So the hard part to believe in this story is the women didn’t call the police and report a kidnapping in progress, or a drunk driver in progress, or any of 100 things they could have reported that police are interested in. Instead of doing that, they didn’t, just sat there and let him do whatever they wanted, and then complained about it on an app afterwards. This lowers the credibility of the claims. As for your coworker, this story is also hard to believe. Her stalker is a murderer of an 80 ye…

Service is not being refused. You’re just not being matched with a person of a particular gender.

Do you have a hard time believing only men see the cases where women put down men? This is why I’m saying it is bias. In not denying it’s happening. The reality is you find what you look for. If you want to find something that men say that is bad you will find it. If I want to find something that women say that is bad I will find it.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/25 07:41 PM

Not when you use that complaint to generalize towards a negative view all of one group of people.

I could say the same about FDS or BreakingMoms… yet you claim it never happens.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/25 12:49 PM

I can say it again. Bias. I’m not seeing men do the same. I have seen plenty of women blaming men for all their woes and demanding things of men to compensate for their blame. Your “with no dating experience” is not a valid qualifier. It is irrelevant.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/25 12:29 PM
4

Again, bias. You are claiming that Red Pill men are toxic, many of them have just as much “reason” to be shitty on women as the women in their echo chambers are. You must accept one as acceptable if you accept the other as acceptable.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/25 12:19 PM
3

Mmmm, bias. Hell, even BreakingMoms is an echo chamber where several posts are just hating on men. I imagine if these echo chambers did not exist relationships between men and women would be a lot less contentious.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/25 12:09 PM
4

FDS is actively spreading hate and demeaning of men.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/25 11:57 AM
5

Eh… you said it was okay for a woman to have a toxic mindset against men earlier because they have been burned. Women don’t get a pass and things like FDS are clear examples where women are developing (and reinforcing/echo chambering) toxic views towards men. You can’t call out Red Pill and ignore FDS. (I’m not even Red Pill, I just don’t like the double standard.)
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/25 11:50 AM

And the promise that it will stay true for the duration of the relationship isn’t quite true. You have to continuously pour additional emotional juice into the tank for them to stay attracted. The expectation for you continues to rise to fill their emotional connection tank.

Interesting thought, that unfairness is simply because women carry the child and abortion therefore falls under their right to bodily autonomy. There would be no way to equalise this and make it fair unless we could transfer pregnancies to men (imagine!) Yep, totally agree. The act of carrying is unfair to women. The thing I truly worry about long term is the the legal protection (my body my choice) and the thing that is being shielded by it (my lifestyle my choice) are not aligned. A new techno…

So the situation is the man isn’t the one deciding not to remove the responsibility from all parties. The woman is deciding to have or not have an abortion, and so that is the action that is deciding that the responsibility exists. You can argue the man and the woman agreed to have sex and took on the risk of that responsibility existing, sure. But the reality is that the actual choice for the existence of that responsibility is solely at the discretion of the woman. The man can’t say, “yeah, ha…

The state will step in and provide foster care, not necessarily with money from the parents, if the parents are deemed unfit. And again, that’s not a right, that’s something we agree to do as a society because we all kind of agree kids are important. A right is something that cannot be taken away by a law, but a law could be passed tomorrow which eliminates the entitlements you’re talking about. Women can get an equivalent operation to a vasectomy in the form of tubal ligation.

So consider what happens if you get back with her. The reality is she will be better for approximately 6 months, and then regress to her prior behavior. It’s weird you say children have a right to child support, because they don’t. There are no rights that say you must be taken care of, or specifically receive money from certain individuals as a child or otherwise (it’d be great if those existed, but they do not). We all kind of agree that children should be taken care of and there are laws in place to help ensure children receive a certain standard of care, but that doesn’t necessarily make it a right any more than it would be considered a righ…

The right to abort a pregnancy is a unique to women right that men cannot have as men cannot get pregnant. I agree that women should be able to get an abortion, but men do not have the right to an abortion as it does not apply to them. I asked for a right men have that women do not.

If you define masculinity as “not feminine” as the article suggests then by definition you cannot have one without the other. Unfortunately for that article I feel that defining masculinity as “not feminine” is a cop out. Just because a woman does a thing does not make it not masculine, otherwise the notion of a tomboy would not exist.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/25 10:22 PM
1

That doesn’t result in continuation of the species. So if your goal is for you to fail to get equal treatment and no one else to benefit from your efforts towards a generational change you’ve sure made the right choice.

A fun aspect of this is that the easiest way to achieve the goals feminism has may be to help fix men’s mental health issues.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/25 10:09 PM

To be clear, “traditionalism” hasn’t had monogamy forever. In fact, in some cultures it is “traditional” for a man to buy a new wife when his current wife reaches 40. Lastly, just because it’s the way things have been doesn’t mean it’s the way things should be. You need to base your argument on how this makes things better for them to convince people to your point of view.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/25 09:03 PM

Again, unless women actually assign additional value to a man that is able to get with many girls. There’s a reason why married men are more attractive to women than single men.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/25 11:40 PM
11

That might not be the risk you think it is. Women tend to get with guys they know can get with women. It might surprise you how often the woman knows the man is cheating, and so a AWDTSG page is just another tool men “end up” using to get women willing to sleep with them because their “value” has increased.

Similar. I asked my kids what they wanted to get her, made sure the one that didn't put any thought into it put some thought into it, and then made sure they were able to buy it (yes, that means I paid). She's still their mother, and they should still have a good connection with her, and that's necessary for them to grow up well. It's part of my job as dad to help ensure that connection is strong, and not ensuring the kids are able to give her a mothers day gift seems like a failing at that.

Ah, okay. Then yeah, you will likely have to figure out a child support adjustment. I was assuming 50/50. Aforementioned lawyer may have another option for you. But my understanding is if your ex has to maintain child care to work, you have to help pay for it. Just make sure the cost you pay is associated with the cost of the care provided, and make sure mom's grandmother is not actually taking care of the child and she's just skimming off the top. (Again, a lawyer could help you navigate this).
/r/Divorce_Men10/05/25 03:34 PM

Okay, you should basically have your divorce decree memorized, and it should have covered the child care situation and expenses. If it truly says nothing about child care, then you're in raw negotiation territory. You might have to lean on what it says about child support. A totally reasonable outcome here is, when its moms time with the kids, she pays for her selected childcare, when its dads time for the kids, they will be watched by dad or dads mom. You wouldn't want to write that directly, y…

There’s that “replace” word again. It’s wild that people keep thinking about women replacing one man with another, as if they’re a commodity.

At the time you wrote the quoted bit ("it is clear you don't want that pairing ") you were making an assumption. You still are. You seem to feel what you propose are facts and statements, instead of assumptions. I am making an inference based on your statements above. Would you like to claim that you are okay with such a statement and my inference is incorrect? To you, is having an assumption about things bad in general? Is that the basis of your point of view on this? Yes, assumptions are bad i…

"A non-working woman can want a man that only can do a few dates or meet-ups in a month due to work obligations. This is a statement that there may exist a non-working woman that can want a man that only can do a few dates or meet-ups in a month due to work obligations. There is no assumption here, that woman may exist. I don't claim that such a woman does exist, merely the possibility of existence of one. It’s clear you don’t want that pairing, This a statement that you disagree with this pairi…

I'm not making assumptions, I'm listing possibilities. I'm saying it's possible that Person A wants one thing, or not. This way the categorization of Person A could apply to any person in a relationship. That's how generalization works. We should generally not make assumptions about other people and especially not about what they want. That way leads to misunderstandings and pain. If instead you want to talk about a specific category of Person A that wants to spend lots of time with the person t…

Usually, the two are tied together? As in one person feels unhappy that something doesn't feel fair? As in, partner A wants a relationship but is unable to put in the average amount of time into it, which can seem fair to partner A because it meets A's wants and needs. But B needs/wants the average amount of time put in, so it seems unfair to B, so B decides to end the relationship. Sure, if B is unhappy with that situation they can end the relationship. If B is happy with that situation, why wo…

I don’t see what this has to do with fairness. You’re saying this situation is unfair. Sure, you can be unhappy with this situation, but it isn’t an unfair situation.

I explicitly said you could invert the gender roles. It doesn’t matter what phase of the relationship they’re in here.

No, I’m not talking about myself. What I’m saying is there is no unfairness here. You’re suggesting that fairness means a man that does a lot of work should pair with a woman that does a lot of work. This way they are both rarely available. I’m saying that fairness isn’t involved here, and the availability of their partner is up to each individual. The woman not working and the man working a lot but both are fine with this arrangement is just one example of this dynamic that doesn’t meet your ex…

I’m not sure what you mean here. A non-working woman can want a man that only can do a few dates or meet-ups in a month due to work obligations. It’s clear you don’t want that pairing, but that doesn’t mean others won’t. The fairest thing for the man to do in this case is just be who he is. The fairest thing a woman can do in this case is to just be who she is. If either party is unhappy with the situation, then it’s not the situation for them. Where is the unfairness?

I think he is in the best position to know what he would do best with. Maybe he doesn’t want a woman that sacrifices her life for her career? Maybe he does? Maybe he’s just trying to get laid and so doesn’t really care if she’s a good life partner? In all of these cases, it’s okay for either party to decide the other is not for them. What’s not okay is insulting all men because the situation existed.

That’s a choice for you and/or your partner to make. My wife doesn’t blink if I have to travel for work or work non-stop for a while, and yes I’ve been unavailable due to work responsibilities for more than 2 weeks at once. That’s just what happens (and they compensate me well for that availability). Does that mean I’m not ready for a relationship? Arguably not, my wife was okay with it. If this happens for work sometimes, the woman I’d be in a relationship with should be okay with that. If she’…

You're reading something into the situation that isn't being said. Usually, when someone says “no I am busy” to a date without offering any alternatives, it is just a polite way to reject the person. Yes, I know that women are trained to do this to avoid confrontation with a potentially angry man and how that may evolve into physical violence. I don't do this though, because I am not afraid of physical violence from an angry woman (you can call this male privilege, it is). So if I say, "no I am …

Consider the classical adage: Your right to swing your arms ends just where the other man’s nose begins. This involves two freedoms: 1. You are free to swing your arms around. 2. Another person is free to go through life without getting hit in the face. As a society we have decided that in this case, because of the negative impact of getting hit, we will protect the second freedom over the first. And so if I swing my arms around and hit someone else, I will be charged with battery. Because of th…

All freedoms impede on someone else’s freedom because we live in a world with scarcity. A woman’s freedom to be left alone impedes on a man’s freedom to be with them. Vice versa also applies. The reality is no one is actually truly free to do as they want, and so we have to define reasonable expectations between each other to participate in a functioning society. The problem is in that definition of “reasonable expectation”. Do I think women should just give out sex whenever asked? Absolutely no…

Unfortunately what you’re saying is an ultimatum. Divorce is not a threat, it’s an action. Tell her you need her to commit to therapy and such, but don’t threaten her with leaving if she doesn’t. Just leave. Otherwise she’ll do what you want for six months, and revert. The change needs to be driven from her end, not from you threatening to leave.

Statistics. Open tinder, got a hundred matches. One of them at least is going to be good. This would be true of Tinder was the general population. The reality is Tinder is full of people that failed to get a relationship via other means, so it may not be the best population to pick from.

Men are innocent until proven guilty, and you are allowed to sue for libel or slander. The latter is typically very expensive. As to the former, the problem is extrajudicial punishment. If you get accused of a crime a company can fire you, that’s not illegal. There’s pretty much nothing we can do about it though as regulating that would almost certainly be a violation of the 1st Amendment.

The argument is that people that live near an abortion clinic are having their rights reduced. I imagine a lot of people that live near an abortion clinic have lots of reasons to go near an abortion clinic that don’t involve voicing their opinions.

Or if someone decides you were being “reckless.”
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/25 04:27 PM

You should read it again. In general, the offences applies in public places within the Safe Access Zone. However, activities in a private place (such as a house) within the area between the protected premises and boundary of a Zone could be an offence if they can be seen or heard from the Zone and are done intentionally or recklessly. You’d be putting a lot of your defense on it not being intentional or reckless, when what you do in your own house shouldn’t matter at all in this scenario.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/25 04:26 PM

Law doesn’t usually work on intent. The text as written in the document shared indicates if: My home was in a Safe Access Zone I was watching a debate on TV on the pros and cons of abortion That TV was visible from the street Someone planning to get an abortion was walking by my house They saw the TV program They decided not to get an abortion I would be in violation of the law. This seems unreasonable (because it is).

I'm still cohabitating as well, but fortunately my stbx is aligned with me that our kids are our top priority. The kids don't even know yet, and part of that is we don't want them to face down the uncertainty we are facing down. We will let them know as things become more certain and when they will start seeing actual impact. This kind of sucks for us, but a successful transition for the kids is the goal. Fortunately we don't hate each other, which makes this a little easier, though she definite…

To her, she may be competing with you in the eyes of the kids. This isn’t a good outcome, as she will likely try to pressure the kids to choose her over you. That’s not just bad for you, the kids want no part of that. I assume you two are coparenting, I recommend a book like Mom’s House, Dad’s House by Isolina Ricci, which talks about how you two can successfully manage a coparenting relationship similar to a business relationship. If you are both coparenting I recommend you both read it. It may…
