Huh! That's really cool. =)

Right! On the front page recently was a picture supporting a little girl responding to be cute/pretty with "and I can read too!" While I support little girls reading, it's worth teaching them how to take a compliment too! A simple "thank you" is all that's needed there.
/r/MensRights18/03/15 09:21 PM

Huh! That's cool to know. =) It still sounds wrong though.

And - even if it is a gender problem, women often CHOOSE not to work at the same level men do. Being a CEO and a mom is often impossible - think about it. How often do you hear about a male CEO being a great father? And if he is, how much time does he really get to spend with his children? Women often have the drive to have children and be close to them. I'm almost 22 and, despite my rational mind, my hormones have recently been going crazy and craving kids. It's awful. But I don't think men get…

Well, maybe their should be permits so you'd get fined. ;) "Parking Easement Permits" ;)

3dPrintedEmotions got it Its just an expression saying look what I found thats interesting. It's not a life changing event or issue, but it exists and it's directly anti-equality.

I find these sexist against men and patronizing towards women.

For families it makes sense. For a single person, it does not.
/r/MensRights18/03/15 05:55 PM

I love a challenge. Heh.
/r/MensRights18/03/15 05:55 PM

There's always a non-sexist way to do things. The Women's Resource Center at my school (which is 'for everyone')? Just call it the Resource Center. The posters for domestic violence showing only women (I don't know that I've seen one featuring a man)? Do half men! The feminist movement? The equal rights movement! Women have suffered in many parts of the world for many ages, but that doesn't mean that men should be stepped on. It really irritates me that they are - all the while claiming false or…

Right! Or marked as spaces with additional safety features for use by anyone who has a true fear of potential threat - women or men - surviving victims of abuse, those that suffer from PTSD, or otherwise overly fearful of danger from others.

How is 'teaching men not to rape' a solution?! Her entire idea falls apart when you bring in either one of the following facts; a) Not all men are rapists, and the ones that do commit this type of act aren't going to listen anyway b) Women rape people too.

Why would that be a rule? That makes no sense at all... they're the ones that vote it to the top. xP

That's weird! Usually it's the other way around... Which makes sense as women (generally) have longer hair.

I do talk about it with friends, and with people when human rights come up - I was talking to a co-worker about these issues earlier today. Quite honestly, responding to your messages was very little effort at all. :)

But not by someone who could've done anything, and one comment by a single customer wouldn't have been enough to trigger him going to his higher-ups.

It's not their attitude I'm worried about, it's the good it would do. All they would be able to say is "Yes, I understand, and I'm sorry but there's nothing I can do." And, if I were to persist, they might recommend me to their national headquarters.
/r/MensRights21/01/13 06:38 AM

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by 'yes'.
/r/MensRights21/01/13 06:28 AM

It wasn't something he or she could just take down. They don't choose what goes in the store, headquarters does - therefore bugging him about it wouldn't do much aside from stress them out/distract them from things they need to get done.

Since it was a Verizon store, and clearly something that the manager/employees had no control over, I didn't feel like it was worth bringing up when they were so swamped anyway. (It's not fair to them, really.) I may write the headquarters, as it seems to be a national drive, but I'm not sure one email will do much good. =(

I saw something similar at the Verizon store the other day. It was a drive where basically you donated your old phone to help end domestic violence. Except, on the poster, it was 4 women - no men. For some reason it really pissed me off and I left shortly after I noticed it.

Personally, I think both are a little... graffic for high school. I know that kids these days are used to a lot worse, but a school shouldn't be allowed to show such stuff. IMO.

Oh... I would have assumed that primary caregiver meant whoever supports them, but now that I think about it, that doesn't exactly make sense. When you say 'scuttle any attempt at shared parenting by being uncooperative' do you mean that she can decide to let you stop seeing your children? Or that if she's uncooperative, she will lose custody of them? I'm sorry things happened that way.... she sounds like a... pleasant partner...
/r/MensRights27/11/12 06:41 PM

Thank you for sharing. How old were the children? Why was she deemed to be the primary caregiver? I did check my PM... didn't see any messages from you though.

Thanks! The paper should be between 10-12 pages, double spaced, so there is a need for a pretty strict focus. All of those are really great topics. Most likely, I think that I'll focus on the victims of violence and abuse as I have some experience with that (towards the men in my life - not from me - definitely not from me o_0) pretty close to home.

My personal opinion is that they shouldn't be placed where they can be seen (neck, collarbone, etc) just because it doesn't look good to a boss, customer, professor, etc. Very unprofessional. If you're not in a monogamous relationship - that's also a no. It's a major turn off for any other girl you're trying to get with. (Source: Personal experience as well as sex-talks with chicks I know.) However - if you have a single (or various, depending on what you're into) partners that you see exclusive…

It's true though. Not all men are rapists. I've told my friend (who has been raped) to remember that fact. Same goes for women - not all women are rapists either. Or liars, cheaters, water-fountains, bitches, etc. Not everyone's everything. And I originally posted this as a joke (I hope that's clear). My first thought was "holy shit. who acts like that." Then I saw plenty of serious posts had been made. I hope people read the comments I've made to replies, might make them pause and think a secon…

Understand - I think of men and women as equal partners in a relationship. In my personal opinion, I feel that any inequalities to one partner or the other simply because of gender is ridiculous. I've also met plenty of women who are feminists and abuse their men (mentally mostly) and I find it appalling: It's just sad to me that because of one woman of a million (I have no idea of any of the real statistics) crying "rape" in a false situation, people create stereotypes of women. Just because on…

I was simply making a joke. Honestly though, like I said in response to another comment; There's also enough men abusing women to make feminism a movement. That doesn't mean that you're all like that either. I'd like to see one big movement against the terrible people that taint each gender.

That's what he says about strip clubs too. And believe me - I am incredibly glad that I didn't get into that line of work. Hah. My bf was the one who pretty much helped me out of that black period in my life. And exactly - I'll point out to him when someones sexy, but that in know way means I'm thinking about fucking them. Physical beauty/appreciation does not equal automatic sex-drive. (He's my first long term relationship, and I found it interesting when I realized the other day that - other p…

What I mean is, we watch the funny stuff together - like "Lemon Stealing Whore" - without the intention of getting turned on by watching it. We also both point out sexy people... simply put, "credit where credit is due" lol. Your ex sounds like a bitch. =P Personally, I wouldn't enjoy the idea of my bf going to a strip club, just because I don't agree with what they portray and at a low point in my life was almost sucked into the whole stripper/cam-girl lifestyle, but I doubt that it would turn …

Girl here, and I totally agree with this video... Though I've never read 50 Shades of Grey. Personally, I've watched porn with my bf, mostly the funny stuff, not to get turned on - just to laugh at, and - though we don't watch separately - I wouldn't care if he did. We've tried to make our relationship pretty level - I think. Anyway - I love this subreddit because of stuff like this. Makes me think. =)

WTF?? I apologize for people of my gender (female) - this is not right and I am blown away at the idiocy of this woman. You have every right to be as upset as you are, and again - I'm sorry about this. =(
